I have been going to this vet for almost 3 years with my cat now and things initially were really…read moregreat but I've had numerous not so great experiences recently. First- 2 visits ago they had him listed as a 2 year old. He's been going there 3 years so it's not possible for him to age backwards. Plus they have his file scanned from his adoption showing his birthdate. I informed them he was 6. My most recent visit I see on his file that he is now 4. I crossed it out and changed it again back to 6. The reason this is serious to me is because they keep referencing his age when analyzing his conditions and saying blah blah "for such a young cat." But he's not 2. Or 4. He's 6. And his name also is not Oliver... I went in on a Monday and had bloodwork done. They were supposed to call the next day with results but didn't. And not the next day either. His vet had gotten sick and called out and it would've been under her specific file to call me, but given I had called inquiring I feel a different professional should've been able to at least convey the results to me more quickly. Finally, today I dropped him off at 7:45 for an ultrasound. I had been under the impression and told that it would occur between 9-12. I just called and the tech didn't even get there until after 11. Now he has to sit there for a bit longer and I had been counting down minutes to get his results. I loved this vet and I'm really sad about what's happening there. Not sure if the switched systems or something but normally they, and especially Kim, are super good at communicating and doing everything they can. Now I feel weird leaving him with them because they don't even know his name... age... when the doctor will be there...

Gracie, our 19 year old…read morecat, was dying of old age and Claire, the other cat, was suffering from a cancerous growth in her nose. During this difficult time, Dr. Andy and the entire staff have offered unwavering support and practical help. Sometimes the treatments seemed costly, but these veterinarians made sure to choose cost-effective options that would ensure our cats received the optimal care. When we had to make tough choices, such as whether to consult a specialist about Claire's cancer, Dr. Andy always explained the options thoroughly and made it clear that the choices such as radiation therapy or palliative treatment were ours to make. I would recommend Dr. Andy and his staff unconditionally.

This place has rescheduled my appt for my dog 4 times now, the last being this morning ONE hour…read morebefore the appt when I had taken time off work and already given my dog sedation mediation to help his stress level at the vet. The lady with the accent tried to gaslight me and say that 2 people called me yesterday to reschedule when I have ONE voicemail from someone CONFIRMING the appt. Picture attached to review. That employee needs to GO because what a liar and how awful is it to gaslight customers! Also this place needs to fix their available appt times if they constantly can't keep them. What a nightmare. Thanks Banfied for ruining multiple days for me. Updated to 3 stars because after Banfield FINALLY kept the appt for my dog, I'm very happy with how the rest of the staff and Dr. Alexander Kingston Turner interacted with my anxious dog. There was also confusion because the person that rescheduled our appt labeled it as a new adopted dog exam when I've been seeing them for a year ‍ I sincerely hope this staff member gets better training.

Longtime Clients Deeply Disappointed…read more We've been taking our dogs to Banfield since they were puppies -- they're now 12 and 13 -- so we've been loyal clients for well over a decade. For many years, we felt the care was good and the wellness plans were a great value. The doctors were kind, and we appreciated the reminders for vaccines and annual visits. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, things have really gone downhill. Prices have gone up significantly, and what used to be included in our wellness plan -- like dental cleanings -- is now an expensive add-on. Between annual exams, tests, and medications, we've spent close to $1,000 in a month recently just to keep up with routine care. What's been even more frustrating is how disorganized the office has become. We no longer receive reminder calls for vaccines or annual checkups, and when we do try to schedule, it's often a month or more before we can get in. The final straw for us was a recent issue with refilling our dog's prescription. I called ahead, was told it would be ready the next day, but when I arrived, it wasn't. I was told to come back two days later because the vet needed to approve it. When I returned, the prescriptions still weren't ready and there were no notes or updates in the system. Being told to come back a third time for a routine refill -- after calling ahead and following up twice -- is just unacceptable. After more than a decade with Banfield, it's disheartening to feel like our dogs' care -- and our time -- no longer matter. I don't know if it's understaffing, disorganization, or corporate changes, but the quality of service and attention to clients has really declined. We're now seriously considering moving our pets' care elsewhere.
