In town again for work and this is a favorite of a colleague. Close to Levi Stadium and is convenient. In a small strip mall with other restaurants. Plenty of parking in the morning. Small dining area that is cozy and comfy. Waitress was nice and provided quick, attentive service. Big menu (with some pictures of particular dishes) with lots of options. Their sweet menu items look incredible but not for the faint of heart. Serious sugar high! I had the light breakfast sandwich which is meatless, two eggs, spinach, tomato, and chipotle mayo on a croissant. Comes with a choice of side and I chose the hash browns. Sandwich is good but needs more mayo or flavor. Hash browns were just ok. Nothing special. Everyone else liked their meal. Big portions. Would repeat.
Came to the cafe on a random Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised that such a local spot could deliver such amazing quality food. Both pancakes and the scramble were superb. The hashbrowns perfectly golden which is funnily enough hard to get at cafe/diner nowadays. The jalapeño's in the scramble were also delicious with plenty of flavor. Will definitely be returning with the great service as well. My only critique is the ambience is cute and quaint, but to perhaps raise the volume on the music. The entire time you can hear the fridge display louder than anything else in here
Came to try brunch at Mikayla's and it was a good experience! It's a small plaza but not busy so we could easily find parking. Service was quick and kind! The pricing is pretty standard. I got the spicy crab cakes which was delicious and surprisingly pretty spicy. My boyfriend got the hot mama scramble and it was good. I wish there was more even balance of everything but there was a lot of sausage. The potatoes were yummy, but the hashbrowns really stole the show. We got the French toast to share and it was perfect texture.
Food is always good, good service. And I like the music playlist! The bathroom is always clean. Lots of toilet paper and soap to clean your hands. I'll be back!!

I sat at the bar while I waited for my food. Service was friendly as well The corn beef breakfast meal is my favorite. I got it with scrambled eggs and hash browns and it was beyond perfect. The eggs were fluffy and the hash browns had the best crust. Sour dough toast was delish as well, however I would like two pieces not just one. I also got a pancake and chose bacon and chocolate chips as toppings. It came out as one large pancake with the bacon on top and mini chocolate chips in a container. It was delicious as well. I also got a fresh squeezed orange juice, which was decent. Would repeat this meal in a heart beat!
Friday afternoon pretty empty but staff was still attentive. I ordered a veggie omelette but it was my coffee order that I was impressed with. Staff waited for me to clarify what I wanted modified instead of just assuming and handing me an incorrect drink. It's the small things!

Mikayla's is a OG bay area brunch spot that has been long standing classic that everyone frequents They deliver high quality food and great service to everyone! This is one of two locations and both locations have high quality food! Overall great place for brunch or breakfast! May get busy at peak hours I definitely recommend any of their pancakes and eggs benedict as all of them taste fresh and in house made! Their hashbrowns are also unique and has very good texture and flavor

Lovely little spot for breakfast or brunch. We stopped there while in town for Metallica weekend!!!! Service was friendly and prompt, outdoor seating was comfy and shaded. The staff was attentive to umbrella positions and making sure you're comfortable. The prices were reasonable. I wish I had paid attention to their coffee options before ordering a regular cup of coffee but I was happy that they offered Oatmilk and other non-dairy options. We had the crepes, South Bay style... hella good! The toasted coconut was the perfect addition. We also had the chicken and waffle, the waffle was perfect. The chicken was good, but more Asian style in the batter so included a little cornstarch to keep the batter crispy and the chicken tender - I just don't like the texture it gives the meat - personal issue lol We will definitely return next time we are in town! Oh added bonus - they didn't make you feel rushed, even with a line of people waiting for tables.
I was in town for the Metallica concerts and staying at the Aloft Santa Clara. I was looking for a great spot for breakfast and hit a home-run with my decision to eat at Mikayla's Café on Tasman Drive. I knew I must have pick the right spot when I arrive and found a line outside waiting for seating. That's always a great sign you've picked a popular place. I went inside and put my name on the wait list and in about 15 minutes, I was seated on a Satruday morning. My biggest decision was selecting what I wanted to eat. The menu is packed with so many delectable breakfast items. I went with the Hot Mama signature scramble and it was super tasty and a large portion. Loved the spicy Cajun sausage, with onions, bell peppers and mushrooms. I saw lots of diners ordering drinks served in a large glass mug and handle and said I got to get one of those. The iced coffee was delish. Super efficient and friendly service. Can't wait to come back on Sunday for round #2.
Realized I haven't been here in 10+ years, but it didn't matter. The food still hit the same and it was solid even though I grabbed different things. We came on a day there was a game, which we didn't know, but it wasn't too busy. My fiancee and I were able to be seated in 5 minutes. During that time we got the menu to look over and figure out what we wanted. What I really liked about the place was the ability to order the country fried steak as a side order with gravy on top. So the flexibility was nice since I also wanted to try the Breakfast burrito which we splitted. My fiancee got the Biscuits and Gravy and it was super fluffy, we think it was house made and appreciated it very much. None to say the least, we'll forsure be back to try out the rest of the menu as there were some specials that looked appetizing. read more

This is a winning location. Situated close to Levi's Stadium, this is the perfect breakfast spot. From menu choices, to protein selections, to smoothies, to the coffee bar, they have everything you could ask for. While out here for work this is my go to for an incredible breakfast experience. we happened to try this spot out on a Sunday for brunch & keep in mind, this spot gets BUSY since it's right across from Levi's Stadium. we didn't wait too long for a party of 2. the biscuits & gravy are possibly the best I've ever had. the biscuits were so fluffy and soft it practically melts in your mouth. the gravy, this is what I envision when I think of biscuits and gravy. they do have a free lot to park in. the spot also only has 1 bathroom so there's usually a line to use it. would come back again read more

They served me raw chicken and expected me to still pay for the dish. I asked for it for be taken off the bill and they offered me 20% off instead. After asking once again the manager finally took it off the bill. No apologies or acknowledgement that I was literally served raw chicken. read more

Came to Mikayla's Cafe in Santa Clara and I'm glad I did. I started with the Brain Fuel avocado shake. Smooth, fresh, perfectly blended. Not overly sweet. Clean energy and super refreshing. I also had a black coffee which was solid and straightforward. Good balance, not bitter, and paired perfectly with everything on the table. For food I had the Caramel Crumble Toast Crunch and the Chicken and Biscuits Benedict with a side of hash browns. Everything came out on big plates and the portions were generous. I shared both dishes with my partner, so I did not eat two full plates by myself. That said, even one portion alone would have filled me up. I am really full. The Chicken and Biscuits Benedict was flavorful but not over seasoned. The biscuit was soft, the chicken was done right, and the sauce brought it all together. The hash browns were crispy and hit the spot. The Caramel Crumble Toast Crunch was indulgent without being overwhelming. I did get full before the food was finished. It was that good. I had to mop it up. Ambience was great. Friendly staff. When I arrived there was a table available. By the time I left around 10 30 AM it was completely full with no open tables, so that seems to be when it starts getting busy. Overall great experience. I will definitely be back and would recommend if you are in the area. read more
Came here on a trip to Great America as our pit stop / breakfast of the day. We randomly found this place online when looking for some where to eat. The restaurant is small, but it's clean and the staff were friendly. It was slow and quiet when we came and our food came out pretty quick I would say. We all ordered different things and in general we enjoyed the food. I had gotten a country skillet that was potatoes, eggs, and country gravy. It was super filling! Other people in the group got French toast and a breakfast sandwich and they liked their choices. My coffee was ok, not very strong, and the hot chocolate also lacked flavor. If I was in the area I would come back and try some other things. read more
We were seated right away for Sunday lunch. Most tables were taken and it's not a big restaurant but luckily didn't have the overcrowded vibe. I got the All American Favorite and chose bacon, poached eggs, hashbrowns, and sourdough toast. Can't really go wrong with these classic breakfast items and I had no complaints! Tried the buttermilk pancake too which was my favorite item! It was fluffy and so good with the powdered sugar, butter, and syrup. Food came out pretty quickly and service was good. I will be BACK! We walked in and got a table right away, really good service everyone was super nice. The coconut cream coffee alone was one of the best coffees I've ever had. My husband got the vanilla bean latte and he loved it. It actually tasted like real vanilla not just the syrups everywhere else uses. We got the Benedict, I got the supreme burrito. Also really good food, my daughter got the happy face pancake. I think my burrito was supposed to come with sour cream and it didn't--I could totally be wrong but besides that everything was delicious, and we will be back 100%. P.S they had really good music my daughter was dancing the entire time as well. Thank you! read more

Don't trust the google reviews. This place was really mid. The coffee was extremely watery. The veggie scramble wasn't cooked correctly. They cooked the veggies after the egg so the majority of the veggies were still raw. Not good. The only good thing was the hash browns. Girls working were nice. Place was nice other than the front entrance floor was nasty black and just wasn't a good look for the business. read more
Across the street from Levi Stadium! Ordered a sausage croissant breakfast sandwich before the 49ers game. It was a super tasty breakfast sammy and gave me the fuel to battle the Arizona Cardinals! I returned the following day to try the bacon breakfast croissant see attached photos. Very nice side of fruit was also provided. I feel the Bay Area Yelp community has this one wrong. First, the customer service was extremely unprofessional. I came in for a pickup order and was told "they're making it" without the employee even asking for my name or confirming the order. When I followed up because the app showed the order as ready, she responded with "I don't know." No effort to check or communicate. just attitude. When I asked if she could check, she went to the back visibly irritated, talking to another employee with an attitude and making faces the entire time. It was unprofessional and honestly unnecessary. Then to make matters worse, when we opened the food, there was a bug inside one of the containers. At that point, no one in our group felt comfortable eating anything from the order. Between the poor service and the serious food safety issue, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend this place. read more

My friends and I dropped in for brunch the day of a recent convention. There weren't any other options in the area by transit that were open at the time so we thought to try this place. There were a few tables out front and it was a bit packed inside. Looking at the prices I decided to just share part of the dishes with my friends and just eat after our event. We propped up my phone, facetiming our friend who was at work and could not join us. We flipped through the menu to show her when a waiter came by and asked us, "Uhh... are you recording?". We set the phone down but if the waiter reads this, I apologize if we made you feel uncomfortable. I ordered a milkshake, which was pretty good. The straw had a hole in it so I just covered it in order to make it function. Unfortunately it was in a glass and I couldn't take it to-go. My friend ordered an Ultimate Fried Chicken. The fries were extremely good and hot. My other friend ordered a Fitness Trainer and then asked the waiter, "Wait no. Can you take that out for a Morning Burger instead?" and she nodded. When the food came out, it turns out they kept the Fitness Trainer in our bill. We didn't say anything because, let's be honest, the café could not use the dish for another person's order and we didn't want to be "those types of people". So I just ate it instead-- "a sign I should eat something I guess," I told my friends. The avocado was good and the sausage was alright. The egg whites were runny and at some parts straight liquidy. And perhaps that's how they're supposed to be but it was not like depicted in the pictures thus was a textural nightmare to me. Considering that this is the Bay Area and it's right next to the Santa Clara Convention Center, there's no doubt that the prices would be a bit marked up. Though, $80 for those 3 dishes and a milkshake was a little more egregious than we had expected. The rating isn't due to this-- we ordered knowing the pricing. Tucked away in an unassuming strip near the stadium, Mikayla's turned out to be an unexpected gem! I stopped in for Saturday brunch and was pleasantly surprised to find no wait, though the place was buzzing with happy diners. I ordered the UFC (Ultimate Fried Chicken) sandwich with a side salad, and wow--easily one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a while. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was friendly and efficient, and the space had a cozy, charming vibe that felt clean and inviting--none of that greasy diner smell you sometimes get at similar spots. If you're feeling overwhelmed by their menu, go for the chicken sandwich--you won't regret it. read more

We decided to try this on Mothers Day to go. The French toast and waffles were definitely the best part, my kids enjoyed them. The only thing that was disappointing was the Pulled Pork sandwhich, sadly the buns were the main part of the sandwhich, I had to remove most of the buns and pick it apart because of the Lack of actual pork. The sandwhich was very sad, it just kinda sucked considering I ordered from here because of the sandwich. read more

They are definitely known for their benedicts! Veggie benedict did not disappoint. It was a slow morning, not very crowded, nice amount of natural light. Parking was easy. Staff seem to be running around so it was hard to flag them down. read more

Just left Mikayla's Café with my brother and daughter, and I'm still talking over the food and service! Everything was absolutely delicious. I had the veggie omelette, no mushrooms, add bacon and it was perfection. I ordered the country potatoes and my brother had the hash browns, just amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff were super friendly and sweet. Not sure why we were the only ones there at 9:00am in the morning, it should be packed - this place is a hidden gem! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu! read more
