Laura came highly recommended by our property manager, who had managed our home for several years--and now we know why. Please check out my review for Hawaii Pacific Property in Kapolei if you are looking for a good team to manage your home. From the start Laura was professional, organized, and extremely thorough. What stood out most about Laura was her empathy. She never pushed us to sell but truly listened and supported us through the process. Although we had exhausted all the options to make it work, I still had hope that somehow someway we could keep our beloved home. When we finally decided to sell she made a great personable presentation. Her presentation included clear charts, graphs, and market comparisons that made the process easy to understand and gave us full confidence in her strategy. Costs were upfront from the beginning. We were also in the process of purchasing another home on the mainland and had interviewed several realtors--and no one matched the caliber of Laura and her team. Their professionalism, communication, and genuine care set them apart. The communication was outstanding. We were notified every time someone viewed our home, and we received weekly email updates on how many times our listing had been viewed online, what homes sold in the area, . Laura personally called my husband or me every Monday with updates, and her team sent weekly seller reports with clear next steps. Everything was seamless, using DocuSign, Zoom, and other digital tools that made the entire process smooth and stress-free, even while we were on the mainland. We are so grateful to Laura and her team for guiding us step by step and making this sale such a positive experience. Highly recommend if you want a team who is professional, compassionate, and reliable!

I initially contacted Team Lally because Chat told me about their Guaranteed Sale Program, which…read moretheir website promotes as a way to sell your home quickly -- or they'll buy it. The website makes it sound straightforward and gives the impression that you can confidently move forward with purchasing another home. I mentioned this directly to Alesia Borja (MRP, SRES, PSA) before our Zoom meeting. As a listing partner with those credentials, I expected her to understand the program and explain how it works. Instead, the meeting turned into a long one-hour listing presentation, and the Guaranteed Sale Program was not discussed at all, even though that was the main reason I contacted them. Her follow-up response was that she would "connect me with the broker for clarity" and that the program is not designed for sellers who want a home sold in 30 days. That felt like my question was sidestepped rather than answered. Adding to the confusion, my husband listens to Adrienne Lally and Attilio Leonardi on their Saturday morning radio show, where they consistently say that "if they cannot sell your home, they will buy it." That messaging is very clear, yet the explanation I received suggested the reality may be much more limited. Because of that, the Guaranteed Sale Program felt more like a marketing hook to draw people in rather than something clearly explained upfront. Pros: Organized general listing presentation. Cons: The Guaranteed Sale Program, heavily promoted on their website and radio show, is not what it appears to be. Despite this being the main reason I contacted them, the program was not discussed at all during the meeting. Adrienne knew I already have a realtor, who would facilitate my purchase while Team Lally would sell my home, yet the program was still sidestepped. No follow-up has been received.

We received a VALPAC Ad for SOLDIER-TO-SOLDIER HAWAII REALITY, LLC and contacted Celester, who was kind enough to review our rental home although the renters had several months left on the lease. Once the renters moved out, we had the property thoroughly cleaned, with necessary repairs completed. Celester had the property professionally photographed and listed literally within a few days after notification in early March 2024 of our intention to sell. It closed at the end of May 2024. Most of our communication was with Erika. She always kept us informed of everything - all the showings, inspections, parties of interest communications, escrow info, etc. We had many many questions which she answered or found the answer timely. Memorable events: The SOLDIER TO SOLDIER HAWAII REALITY, LLC is a solid company. We needed to find someone to professionally line the kitchen cabinets & drawers. Laurie, the photographer, helped us tremendously get that done. About one week prior to closing, the buyer (who was a realtor) sent the Home Inspection Report. The buyer sent a document to sign stating: "The buyer is willing to approve /release/ satisfy 3-1 for the SELLERS CREDIT OF" $6,500 for the noted finding." Really? The findings were mostly minor things like toilet base loose, bathroom shut off valve leak, need for "missing GFCI or AFCI outlets", etc. Although we were ready to repair, Celester knew the cost was over-inflated. We do not know what he did, but after a few days, the buyer sent a Waiver-of-Inspection Report document via DocuSign. We knew right then and there that Celester and Erika were representing the seller and protecting our finances. The following is not a fault of the Realtors, but our opportunity share a Title company issue. We didn't see the Title Guaranty of Hawaii, LLC Escrow - Estimate Seller's Statement until the afternoon prior to closing! If would have been good to review it to have time to question some of the charges that we thought should be for the buyer. We did call Title Guaranty immediately, but of the items of question were essentially already set for closing. The Sellers Final Packet was sent after closing the next day. The Final Packet line "Balance due TO seller" differed by over $146K TO seller than the Estimate Seller's Statement! We were happy to see that. LESSION: Insist escrow share the Estimate Statement at least a week prior to closing. In summary, Celester and Erika (both prior service Veterans) both exemplified military values of professionalism and pride in their line of work. Especially noted was honesty and prompt attention to our needs. They KNOW and DELIVER exemplary customer service. We saved thousands and thousands by contracting with them, plus they gave to notched service to us. We recommend Celester and Erike and their SOLDIER TO SOLDIER team to anyone! God Bless America! We hired Kelsey because, at the outset, she presented herself as someone who thrived in challenging markets. She emphasized that she was up for difficult listings, could sell homes quickly, and genuinely empathized with our situation. As a military family preparing for a PCS to another state, we needed someone we could fully trust to manage the sale of our home while we were out of state. She also shared that she had personally navigated difficult listings and multiple agents in the past, which created a sense of understanding and alignment. Based on that, we put our complete trust in her. In the very beginning, things felt okay. The first month or so was slow but consistent, and there were a couple of open houses early on. However, those open houses stopped very quickly--within the first one to two months of the listing. The home was listed in July 2025, and after those initial open houses, the agent determined that open houses had "run their course." From that point forward, there were no additional open houses for the remaining months the property sat on the market. As time went on, engagement steadily declined. I frequently had to initiate contact just to get basic updates. Even then, responses were often delayed, vague, or surface-level. When I asked specific, time-sensitive questions--about strategy, buyer feedback, or next steps--the answers lacked depth and did not help me make informed decisions. There was no sense of ownership or accountability in moving the listing forward. Over time, the strategy narrowed almost entirely to repeated pressure to significantly drop the price, without any meaningful change in marketing approach, increased effort, or a creative plan to address stagnation. Price reductions were treated as the primary solution, without updated marketing, refreshed listing materials, expanded outreach, or a proactive plan to re-engage the market. While we understand that market conditions are not fully within an agent's control, we asked thoughtful, specific questions to ensure that any price adjustments would be part of a broader, strategic approach rather than a reactionary move. When we did not immediately agree to reduce the price without that clarity, the agent effectively disengaged from actively managing the listing. As communication deteriorated further, I was eventually forced to contact the brokerage directly after several days of silence, simply to get acknowledgement and clarity. Toward the end of the relationship, I sent clear, time-sensitive messages asking for updates and direction. Those messages were delivered--and ignored. That silence was the most distressing part of the entire experience. This experience was not simply a reflection of a difficult market. It was professional disengagement. When a client hires an agent, they are trusting them with a major financial asset. That trust requires persistence, communication, adaptability, and follow-through--especially when a property does not move quickly. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. There was no sustained follow-through, no adaptive strategy, and a clear resignation early in the process. In the end, our home remained on the market for a total of 203 days under Kelsey's management. After making the decision to move on, we relisted with a new agent, went under contract within 16 days, and successfully closed on the sale shortly after. That contrast speaks for itself.

BUT This review is for our agent, Jay Vea of Locations Hawaii. Let me just start by saying he is so AMAZING. I am not being extra or sugar coating.. he really is! Jay is professional, honest, hard working, pays attention to detail, and everything you need your real estate agent to be. As my husband would say, he is a hustler. Lol. We had connected with Jay about 3 years ago through another agent. Here's our back story summarized: I've dreamed of a single family home for our family to grow in, AND I wanted to make it happen before I turn 30 years old.. which seemed almost impossible in Hawaii. Back in 2018/2019, we planned to buy in 1-2 years but we made it happen in less than 2 months. We found got a pre-approval from our lender, toured a property and made an offer all within 24 hours. 2 months later and we were officially first time home buyers/owners in our very first home, a 3 bedroom townhouse in Kapolei. Some call it crazy, but I say it's all in God's perfect timing. Jay was a fairly new agent that year and had assisted our previous agent/his mentor during our transaction. Fast forward to 2021.. we lived in our townhome for about 2 years. Unfortunately and fortunately for covid, the home values were rising like crazy!!! It was a sellers market and I felt like it was a great opportunity to put our townhome at the time on the market and upgrade to a single home. We NEEDED to take advantage of the low interest rates and crazy market. I was interested in North Park by Gentry, which was one of the of new home builds in Ewa Beach. I knew that we would have to sell our home and use that equity for our next home. If you know anything about Hawaii's real estate world, you'll know how crazy competitive it is. We planned to put in for the North Park lottery, but knew we would be 1 of possibly 150-200 applicants, and each month they would lottery out a mere 4-5 homes. The good thing about the lottery homes were that they were set in price, depending on model. Our Plan B was to buy a home outside of the North Park build. We were well aware that we would have to over bid and compete against everyone else. Jay was very thorough in explaining out options and gave his expertise opinion in which way we should move forward. He always told us that ultimately, decisions are up to us and it is for our future. I never felt overly pressured, which was great. We ended up selling our townhome (making about $150k in profit from owning it for 2 years) and then offering for few homes in Kapolei (not North Park), and one of offers was accepted. Jay worked alongside our loan officer Matt Casamina from House of Finance, and they all made it happen for us. They went above and beyond to make our home buying process went quickly and without a hitch. Jay did the whole 9 yards and then some. From preparing our townhome to put on the market, going over offers, necessary paper work, signing, touring North Park, touring other homes, late night and early morning phone calls, zoom meetings and everything in between. Jay was there for us and that meant everything to me. Jay really knows what he's doing. He was very thorough, communicated well, and made sure we had all our sh*t together, and our transactions were on point. I won't say it was perfect, and there were many times I had doubts, but Jay reassured me along the way. Jay communicated really well, he was available or always got back to me in a timely manner. He arranged our home inspection, termite inspection, document signing, final walk through, and finally delivery of keys. Jay maintained communication with us throughout the process, day after day, month after month. One of my favorite things is that he has a vibrant personality but is also down to earth and relatable. During our time spent together on the phone, emails, touring homes and everything in between, we built a friendship that will last a lifetime. I am forever thankful we ended up with Jay as our real estate agent. I recommend him to my family and friends looking to buy or sell a property in Hawaii. Currently, I am so happy with our home and I think I am good and won't need to buy or sell a home for the next couple of years or so.. maybe? LOL. But I will definitely call him if/when I ever want to sell/upgrade or buy an investment property. Jay is like family now and will always be my go to real estate agent. He uses my family as a testament to show how it is possible for young people to buy their own home in Hawaii and building wealth through real estate is the way to do it.
