Location 4: In a large shopping plaza on the North side of Ventura Blvd in Tarzana, California, East of Reseda Blvd. Plenty of self parking. Venue: 3: Tiny venue with a few tables inside. Small sushi bar (less than 10 sears). Very limited outdoor seating. They do take reservations by phone. Service: 4: Servers are friendly, polite and helpful. Food: 4: Large and diverse menu of sushi, sashimi, appetizers and specialty rolls. Excellent, top notch high quality nigiri and sashimi, appetizers and specialty rolls. The owners strive to have a variety of exotic sushi options from all all over the world as well as unique preparations. As a gourmet sushi connoisseur, I appreciate this a lot.. Prices are more or less on par with other higher quality Japanese restaurants. Drinks: 4: Beer (on tap and in bottles), wine and sake. The Last Word 4: Nice, solid option for sushi fix if you are in the area. Highly Recommended!

Obsessed with this place!!! Authentic sushi restaurant with old school vibes. Fresh fish! Love their specials menu. I came 3 days in a row haha. Love that they don't close between lunch and dinner. Staff is so friendly!

Popped in for lunch and this place did not disappoint. Its a small location with friendly service and delicious food. I am trying not to overeat lately and that is very difficult to do when you have good sushi. Needless to say, I had a very hard time not ordering more food. My first selection was the Albacore sashimi and it was magnificent. The fish was fresh, it was lightly salted, and practically melts in your mouth. Next, I ordered the Tarzana roll which was excellent. It tasted fresh and was balanced well with flavors. My favorite part was the crispy onion. What I really liked about this place was that the eel sauce was not overused making it sweet. The rolls taste good on their own. Definitely stop by if you're considering it.

Had lunch with my mom and son earlier today. Our first time here recommended by friends. It's a small and cozy sushi restaurant with wonderful customer service. Very friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed our lunch here . The rolls we got were fresh and the prices are reasonable. Some of the rolls we ordered had to much going on as far as sauces. Well sauce, creamy sauce, mayo sauce, chili oil etc on one roll. I couldn't taste the fish on some rolls, all I tasted was the sauce. But the ones without tooo many sauces were delicious. I really liked the albacore on fire roll. The second favorite was the crazy tuna toll. We also enjoyed the spicy tuna hand roll. The rest were too saucy ... Next time I'll focus more on sashimi and skip the rolls. Overall a great place to eat .... Cozy and welcoming ambiance.

Long time listener, first time caller! We've been coming to Miho for years, so this review is long overdue. I could write a dissertation on how good it is, so I'll keep it to a couple of points. 1. Sushi is always fresh! Japanese fish gets flown in multiple times a week. You know it's good when they put the Japanese fish on a chalkboard rather than on the menu. 2. Service and ambiance is fantastic. Miho is a small family/friend owned restaurant, so it feels like welcome home 3. We always have fun. There are nights that Miho feels like a bar at the end of the night, some nights we break out into song and dance, other nights are pure comedy! Always a good time I normally have best bites, but all bites are best at Miho. The photos from this night were all off menu items. Ask for them if you want a taste experience and a ton of fun

Nice cozy spot in tarzana. Service was friendly, quick, and the rolls were very good. The ingredients were very high quality, the cucumber and green onion really stood out to me. Good price as well. Had 3 rolls. Albacore cut roll was nice, nothing too fancy but I liked it. Generously sized if you're comparing it to a typical sushi restaurant. Yellow Crab Roll - Great flavors and textures in this one. I could eat a whole meal consisting of just this. Only issue is that there was a bit too much sauce at some points, but I still loved it. Baked scallop roll - Warm, soft, and savory! My partner described the taste as "cute". Had a hint of sweetness too. Big fan, I'll be back to try more next time. Thank you!

The salmon lover roll is literally sooo good, I will be going back for this roll again. The crispy rice with tuna was good too! Staff were nice and customer service was great as they are really attentive. It's a tiny, cute, casual spot. It seems a bit hidden as it's in a larger plaza, but the quality of the fish was really good!

With so many good sushi restaurants on Ventura I'm not sure how this one has such good reviews. It's okay. Sort of felt like the dive bar of sushi without cheap prices. I was immediately turned off after using the bathroom, it was disgusting which made me question the cleanliness of the whole place. The service was good. The Star of the meal was the spicy tuna on crispy rice (no extra sauce.) probably some of the best I've had. Miso soup good. Everything else was very average.

I have been in this plaza so many times and never noticed Miho Sushi. It truly is a hidden gem! The spicy tuna crispy rice is one of the best I have ever had! All of the fish was fresh, and service was excellent. The restaurant is very small but has good vibes.

This is definitely my new favorite sushi place in the valley!! I can't believe I haven't been here sooner. The fish was sooo fresh. Their spicy tuna is SO good, one of the best I've had. But their Miho roll is one of the best rolls I've ever had, and I never really choose to eat rolls. The sauce they put on it is amazing and the roll is huge! They definitely don't skimp on the amount of fish they put in their rolls. All the workers were very friendly and we got our food quickly. The restaurants in a huge plaza so parking isn't a problem at all!

While the food was good, I was quite annoyed with 2 issues. First, our friend asked for a glass of pretty standard white wine, was told that she should try something else as that one was not available. When I got to pay the bill, the cost for 5 oz was about the cost of 2 bottles of what she normally buys at a wine store. Second, while the food prices are on the high side, I noticed a charge for use of a credit card. While this is not a big expense, it is extremely annoying and I resent being nickled and dimed. Restaurants deserve to make a fair return but I hate bait and switch and hidden ad-ons. While this won't break the bank, it is unacceptable to me, so I am lowering my rating to average, food 5 star, service ? - you decide.

I've had oyster shooters before and loved them but didn't like their take on it here. Way too much horseradish and the vodka portion was way off (too little vodka) and unbalanced. Oysters Rockefeller - 4 1/2 stars. Quite meaty and delicious, such a great flavor and take on this classic dish. Crab Cake - 4 stars. Quite the large portion, and quite good! Our waitress (who was fabulous) brought out an ice cream Sunday to celebrate the birthday occasion and I have to say it was also fabulous! The famed lobster appetizer was not for us. Bits of lobster floating in a lot of butter didn't excite us. Excellent salads. The other appetizers however, were excellent. We've been twice now had had a lot of their menu. The pork was outstanding. The rack was very good, but I've had even better racks elsewhere. The "famous" banana cream pie was good, not great, but so huge and rich it must be shared. At $30, it's maybe also a tad overpriced. The bar makes a healthy-sized martini that's worth its high-end price tag. Great wine list with wonderful advice and good-sized sample pours, even though I only drink one glass and my husband doesn't drink at all. This is a good place to splurge on a good wine. I've mentioned the above-par service. Informative and cheery, without trying to become your best friend. They went out of their way to assure us a table in a very quiet spot, due to my deafness. Very attentive without being overbearing. Their suggestions seem honest, rather than just trying to upsell everything. The place is huge and gorgeous. Flatteringly, if dimly, lit, it lends itself to romantic dinners and anniversaries. In our case, we like to have a rather luxurious and romantic and lengthy meal perhaps once a month, and feel very fortunate to be able to do so. It's divided into several smallish areas and the effect is rather cozy and intimate. It's chic and stylish, so PLEASE folks, dress for it? It especially saddens me to see a nicely dressed young woman, who obviously spent some time on herself beforehand, with a guy ( I'll guess her husband ), in shorts and a tee shirt. I say, for a place like this, where you could easily spend four bills on a good meal for two, with drinks, management, bring back a dress policy! And enforce it with a reminder email they you do so. Is a collared shirt and a pressed pair of khakis too much to ask for?

We decided to come back with friends but on a Wednesday night at 6:30 instead. Sat at a table in the area where the music was but it was very loud and tightly packed with tables and guests. I could barely hear my friends due to the loud conversations, loud laughter, and just the acoustic affects in the restaurant were bad from that. We ordered steak, sides, and thought baked potatoes but got mashed instead. After we ate dinner we asked the manager if we could seat outside for dessert instead due to the loud noises around us. He brought us there but we had to wait at the bar outside till we were seated took an additional 15-20 minutes. After seated it was better than inside with a nice decor too instead. Dessert was ok service good. For such a high-ended restaurant and pricy food it's only avarage, inside decor pretty but very and tightly packed with guests and loud especially for a week day night kind of unusual, I was disappointed think it's a bit overrated sorry to say. I think Flemings, Ruth Chris, or Morton's are better food wise for the same price and dining experience and not as loud too. Think what could make it better is to thin out the crowded packed affect in the main inside dining area would help a lot too, or, if we ever go back sit outside instead I recommend. The service and staff there were very nice, friendly, and attentive and worked hard during service though. So overall raiting is a 3. Tuesday music night inside was good though think because the band is set up where tables of guests would be so less talking and guests listening to the music instead. Hope they make some changes to there inside seating there for improvements will and could help overall.
