Private parking. Restroom for customers. They have craft beers and wine sold by the bottle. Build your own pasta bowls. Build your own pizza. Merchandise for sale seating inside and outside and there's also a campsite behind the restaurant. I do not know who owns the campground, it's conveniently located behind the restaurant and the restaurant is conveniently located less than 2 miles from national bridges State Park. Great pizza, flavorful has a distinct taste. We had the supreme. Pasta bowl with hamburger and meatballs (meatballs were delicious) cheese and there was marina sauce lightly over the top (not throughout).
Stopped in today with a client. We are both familiar with Miguel's and it was a top pick for lunch. We both ordered a 2 slice pizza. He had a build your own Pepperoni and Jalapeno and I had the Supreme. Great seating outside and the pizza was excellent. Pretty crowded for a Tuesday afternoon.
First time visit here after I heard a lot about it. I was able to finally visit here on Friday afternoon. It is very quiet since it is cold and snowy on the ground. We entered and there is ton of choice. I ended up got Pork BBQ pizza for 4 slices and it is huge. My friend got meat pizza, 2 slices. My friend enjoy it and I enjoyed it too. We both had beers as well. The pizza was good and served hot. The service was nice and vibe is wonderful. This is ideal to stop by after the hiking.

The highlights of the meal, however, were the specialized breakfast plates: My wife opted for the French toast bread, which served as a decadent canvas for a vibrant medley of cooked berries and velvety, house-whipped cream. The inclusion of true organic maple syrup added a refined, woody sweetness that perfectly balanced the yogurt's tartness. I went with the "Traditional" plate. The eggs were prepared exactly to order, accompanied by thick, savory bacon strips and a robust baked potato that grounded the meal. It's best to read a few reviews & combine the info. When you walk in it can seem overwhelming but people line up/around the area you order. There were several people taking orders & you just go up when you're ready if others are around looking/discussing what to order. You might feel rushed but take your time lol There are seats in the first room where you order, some in the back room of that & they also have a big basement (you go outside & around to access that) so don't let the first space fool you. They have a ton of outside seating too. On to the food. We all got a side salad that was fresh & a big portion. They give a small dressing so I'd ask for extra. My husband & father in law got the meat lovers 4 slices to split. They were your normal size. My 2 slices of bbq pork/sweet potato pizza were huge! And delicious! Glad we stopped in & can't wait to come back again in the spring/cooler summer months.
This is a very popular pizza joint that was recommended to us. Affordability: 5 Quantity of food: 5 Quality of food: 4 Customer Service: 5 We stopped by Miguel's Pizza a few weeks ago for dinner, while we were visiting the local and surrounding area. We decided to place an online order for our convenience. We decided to order two pizzas because we couldn't figure out by their reviews. After we received our pizzas, we quickly discovered that their pizzas are extra large. So I'd recommend that one large pizza is more than enough for 3 adults. A few things we didn't enjoy about the pizza, was it wasn't thin crusted and it was very greasy.
In the area, there are not a lot of options for food. However, everyone agrees this is a must stop. The pizza was very good, but a little bit on the pricer of your side. They did have a lot of options for toppings which we appreciated. The big stand out for us was the ranch dressing. It was very unique and some of the best ranch we've ever had. We were staying at an Airbnb and took our pizza to go, which was a good move since it's made to order and was piping hot. If we find ourselves hiking in the area again, we will absolutely stop and grab pizza here.
Miguel's is a national (or at least a state) treasure hands down. With a relaxed and community oriented atmosphere, it's the perfect stop if you are hungry and anywhere near the gorge. The pizza is fantastic and the service is always friendly. You may have to wait in line to order a bit because it's insanely popular.
If you're visiting RRG, or even just driving through, Miguel's is a must. Their pizza is....okay, let me just be honest and say that their pizza is mediocre at BEST. But the real Miguel's fans know that their breakfast menu is where it's at. They also offer laundry services, showers (5 minutes for $2), and some other amenities. Can't wait to come back next month!
It was our first time at the Gorge and we had to stop at the iconic Miguel's Pizza! There's a large gravel parking lot off the main road - every time we drove past it was mostly full. We went for an early dinner on a Saturday night, and the parking lot was about 75% full. When you walk up, there is a large area with large picnic tables. If you walk past the first area it leads down to a larger courtyard with a basketball court, more picnic tables, and a huge camping area. You order at the counter in the main building - they have semi traditional pizzas with a twist. They come in three sizes - 2 slices, 4 slices (half pizza) and whole pizza. Everything is reasonably priced. We order two slices of cheese and pepperoni and a whole BBQ chicken pizza. The wait was about 25 minutes, which wasn't bad with the amount of people at the restaurant. The kids took off and played basketball, foosball and other yard games while we waited. The food arrived pretty fast, and the kids gobbled up the cheese and pepperoni slices. The BBQ chicken was good but a little different - there were big slices of green pepper and some cilantro throughout. Not a lot of BBQ but we managed to eat the entire thing! It was the perfect dinner after a weekend of camping - kids were entertained and the food hit the spot! We only took one picture of a lonely slice but everyone devoured it so quickly. We'll be back!
Had heard a lot about this place so my wife and I decide to take the drive to the Gorge and see what it's all about. Once we parked you could smell the aroma from the pizza. The atmosphere was very natural and a great fit with the location. We waited in line about 5 minutes to place our order. Once we ordered we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day and scenery. Pizza arrived about 30 minutes later (place was packed) hot and piled high with toppings. Pizza was very good and we loved eating outdoors at the picnic tables. If you're in the area stop by.
Perfect hot pizza after hiking. They have an expansive menu and create your own options as well as multiple size options. This is perfect for family and friends with varying tastes. They are pretty quick for how busy it gets. There is limited parking during busier times. There is also indoor and outdoor seating, bathrooms and basketball.
8/16/20 Came here after hiking at rock bridge and my friend talked this place up so we had to come get a pizza. We ordered white sauce as the base, with chicken, artichokes, onions and broccoli. It came out pipping hot and so delicious! Due to covid, you had to wear a mask to enter to order, but that's the new rule for now. The staff is in masks and gloves so it's absolutely safe to come inside to place your order, since most likely you won't have a signal to call to place an order. They have a large picnic area setup which was perfect bc it was raining and you can enjoy your food while it's hot no matter the weather. I will most definitely be back here next time I go hiking near by. read more

Pizza is damn good. Char knew what the fuck he was talking about but unfortunately declined our offer to quit and guide us. Will likely camp here tonight. This place is a bit of a dreamland. It's got a climber's Peter Pan vibe. Gear shop is fairly well built out. Tons of shoes and all the guide books you can shake a stick at. I'd want more hardware for rack completion. Calypso II great for a first trad lead. Beer good. Staff great. read more
Big spot! They had nice outdoor seating, plenty of indoor seating and a basketball court! Great family spot and pet friendly too! Daughters only gripe was the bathrooms didn't have mirrors. The fresh lemonade was very yummy and refreshing--not too sweet. I was a huge fan of the way they sold their pizza; whole pizza (one size), four slices (1/2 pizza), two slices (1/3 pizza). This made it easy for all of us to get exactly what we wanted to eat. Daughter #1 and #2 got the avocado sandwich and I'm not kidding when I said those two were hollering about how delicious their sandwiches were each bite. The tomato's were fresh cut chunks and avocados sliced fresh, all on seasoned focaccia bread with salt pepper and romaine lettuce. It came with a Mayo packet which both added to their sandwiches and were very pleased. Daughter #3 got the safe option of pepperoni. Hubby ordered four slices with hot tomato sauce, salami, pepperoni, bacon (not bacon bits) and ham. He was impressed with the fresh ingredients and the option of a hot tomato sauce. I had two slices with anchovy, mushroom and onions. Perfect. The crust is thin, crispy and oven baked. Definitely stop in one night! read more

If you like pizza, (who doesn't?) you have to try Miguel's pizza if you visit Red River Gorge. There isn't a lot of restaurant options in the area so this place gets busy. They can handle the volume but inside seating is limited. On a nice day it's great to sit outside and wait for your pizza to be made. You order by the slice or whole pie. The list of toppings are enormous so be prepared to make some tough decisions. The crust is not too doughy and perfect for me (a little thicker than thin crust). Pick up some merch while your their. It might strike up a conversation with a stranger that enjoyed their pizza as well. This place made a showing in Norman Reedus' reality show as well. Great "little" pizza place! read more

I'm not sure If this place lives up to all the hype. It's a very popular place and their pizza is good but it just wasn't what the best pizza We have ever had. Maybe its the best in the area. We were there on a Saturday night in mid October and the place was absolutely packed. It took a long time to get our pizza and then we had to just find a table which you have to share with someone else and sit and eat it at these picnic style tables. We were lucky to get a place inside as most of the crowd was sitting outside in the very cool October weather. They're just not very many places to have dinner in the area. read more

After a morning/afternoon of hiking at the Red River Gorge, we stopped by Miguel's for some pizza. We were starving and this hit the spot! Miguel's is super popular in the area and we had heard great things, so we couldn't wait to try their pizza. It looks small, but there is a ton of outside seating, and they're dog friendly outside. We had both of our dogs with us, so that was a big plus. When we ate here, I'd say there was at least 75 people sitting outside. Even with so many people being here, our pizza came out within about 25 minutes! We ordered a 16" (I think that was the size) pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni was thick sliced and there was a ton of cheese. It was so good! We love hiking and have future trips to the gorge planned, so we will definitely be coming back! read more

We had a long day traveling and wanted something to carb up for our next days hike. Heard so much good reviews on Miguel's that we had to try them out for take out. Miguel's also serves breakfast, craft beers (on tap and bottles), salads, and sandwiches. We opted for the 16 inch hand tossed pizza. They do not have specialty pizzas, however they sell them by the slice as well. On the larger pizzas you create your own. We added mushrooms, garlic and tomatoes with light sauce. When we got home, enjoyed every bit of it! Crust and flavor was amazing. I was still wanting more after 4 slices! FYI, you can order online which we did and it was easy transaction picking it up. I highly recommend Miguel's. They are simple yet the pizzas taste so gourmet. Definitely will return and try other items on the menu. I also want to purchase some of their items from their merchandise shop. Perhaps their famous sticker and a T-shirt. read more
There's only so much "home" cooking you can stand while camping. Some times, you just need a meal that is prepared by someone other than your camp stove or camp fire. Of course, we had a day full of hiking, so we were craving carbs and that usually means pizza. I have seen soooo many Miguel's Pizza stickers and recognized the logo while perusing spots on Yelp. Admittely, there isn't much around when it comes to dining in the Red River Gorge area, but we wanted to try it out. We ordered online. One thing I was not a fan of was the lack of prepared, suggested pizza options. The only option was a "make your own" style pizza. It's great for customization but some times, it's nice to take the restaurant's suggested toppings for a spin. Regardless, we ended up with a basic pizza with mushrooms and roasted garlic for takeout. The base pizza starts at $10 and then most toppings are $2 additional. We didn't see options for sides such as breadsticks or salads while using their online ordering system, sadly. Upon arriving, it seemed that the entire town of Slade, KY and its visitors were at this restaurant on a Sunday evening - the parking lots and restaurant and outdoor dining areas were all packed. That should tell you something. The pizza itself was good. The best pizza I've ever had? No, but it does a damn good job at satisfying those carb cravings you get after a long day in nature. read more
Before coming to Slade, KY, I'd seen numerous bumper stickers around Cincinnati for Miguel's Pizza. So, when my lady and I came here, and saw that the place was less than a mile from where we were staying, we had to give it a try. Not only was it super convenient, it was very tasty too. I placed our order online for a 16" pizza topped with tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, and light sauce. Their menu had lots of great options for pizza, sandwiches, salads, and other goodies. They also had a good craft beer selection both on tap and bottles/cans. The place itself looked REALLY cool, like a mini-campus, with lots of outdoor seating. Many other customers brought their fur babies so they're definitely dog friendly. When I got there, my order had just finished cooking, so the pizza was fresh and hot right out of the oven. The price of was very nice too. No wonder I've seen so many bumper sticker for Miguel's around Cincinnati! It's a great place for a super tasty pie and then some. I think my lady and I may stop back by next time we're in the area. read more

I am happy to report that Miguel's spins a great pizza. We needed a good lunch before heading up to Sky Bridge, and that means: it's time for pizza. We pulled in, and the place has a definite lived-in vibe, with a basketball court in the middle and some other stuff for climbers towards the back. I'm guessing the climbing accommodations came first, and they managed to grow a pizza place around it? However it happened, I know this for sure - the pizza is fantastic. There were plenty of opportunities to place my order, so we got 6 slices of pizza and a few drinks. I even said "why not" and got a sweet tea, which wasn't too sweet and tasted deeply of tea. The best part about the thin crust pizza is the crust: full-flavored, possibly enhanced with beer, and cooked to dark brown/charred perfection on the bottom. The cheese blend rated a 10/10, and the mushrooms, well, they were mushrooms. Definitely worth the price. Miguel's is more than worth the trip if you're in the Red River Gorge. read more

We came to Miguel's on a Saturday after hiking and we had some of the best pizza we've had in a while. It was pretty busy since it was a Saturday afternoon but the line moved quickly and they brought out the pizza pretty fast. We waited outside before ordering and they called us in once a register was open and they had the employees behind large plastic shields and everyone was wearing a mask and gloves. You enter and exit through different doors so overall we felt very safe with the covid precautions they implemented. We got a pepperoni, sausage and olive pizza and all the toppings were delicious and the pizza came out piping hot. read more

We ordered pick-up from our cabin and the website said it'd be 30 minutes. 12 minutes later I got an email saying my order was ready! That's what I call service! The pizza was delicious! It was even good for breakfast the next morning! read more
Finally tried the vegan pizza at Miguel's! I got tofu, pineapple, broccoli which is admittedly a weird combo but they have so many topping options for a vegan pizza which is amazing! The crust is so good and it's nice that you can order a half pizza instead of whole. When we arrived the sign on the door said to wait outside and they would call you in when it was time to order. I guess that's an old sign because we waited for a while and no one called us. Someone walked up after us and went inside in front of us so that's when we realized the sign was old and we could just walk in? That was a little confusing. We ordered and then looked for a place to sit. The inside seating was full and the open outdoor picnic tables were wet so we took our food to the car. The ordering and food pick up process is a little cumbersome and unclear but it's awesome that they have this option near the gorge and I would definitely get it again. read more

Pretty crowded restaurants - we were there at 3:15 and 5:15, before and after a kayaking tour and it was busy both times. Beers were reasonably priced ($5) and margaritas were good ($8). The outdoor seating area was ample and had a fun atmosphere. The food was good not great, and the bathroom situation was not ideal. Two private bathrooms but there was no soap available (dispensers were full but didnt work) and it was overall not very clean. Looks like you can camp in the area because they had some storage outdoors. Wait time around 30 minutes. read more

We stopped in at Miguel's after hearing about how good their pizza was. After a long day of hiking at Red River Gorge, we were hungry. Pizza is sold in either a serving for 8 or 4 with $2 for each additional topping. My husband and I ordered an 8-serving pie with ham, garlic, Bell pepper, and mushrooms. Our daughter ordered a large pie with pineapple, ham, and bacon. She also ordered a $6 salad that was served with chopped romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, and chopped tomatoes. A little overpriced and tasteless. She chose a herbal dressing that tasted like a chili powdered-based dressing with olive oil. Our pizzas were flavorless. The colorless crust was underbaked and the pizza sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce. The pineapple topping added a nice liquid to our daughter's pizza and our group had difficulty keeping the topping from sliding off. Our daughter's salad dressing helped to add flavor to a flavorless pie. IMHO save your $$ and stop somewhere else. On a positive note, the outdoor seating was great. read more
Miguel's is a staple when visiting Red River Gorge! For Memorial Day weekend we wanted to spend at least a little time outdoors even though most trails & activities were still closed. We also wanted to include our traditional Miguel's meal but weren't sure what our options would be given COVID limitations. We were happy to find on their Facebook page that online ordering was available along with curbside pick-up! We ordered from a limited, but still delicious, menu & gave a description of our vehicle in the notes. We were given an estimated pick-up time & arrived a few minutes beforehand. The order was right on time, the staff was wearing gloves & masks, & they were incredibly friendly & efficient! I had a Cherry Ale-8 & a pizza sandwich with sausage, pepperoni, banana peppers, cheese & sauce. It was a generous portion & so very tasty. While there was some parking available to eat on the lot in our vehicle, we chose to drive down to the visitor's center to eat out on the picnic tables. It was a great taste of a normal early summer weekend amidst so much craziness this season. read more
I've been here a few times in college but we recently visited the Red River Gorge and went hiking with our dog. Despite COVID-19, I was very surprised to see such a turn out here. Granted, they are one of very few establishments that have food in these areas. They had plenty of seating outdoors (picnic tables) and a lower level inside dining area. Our pizza probably took 20 minutes even though lots of people were ahead of us. I think the pizza crust is a bit more on the bread size than crispy. (We came on July 2nd and they said they are not doing 2 slices at the moment). They have recycling bins outdoors for pizza boxes, cans, bottles, etc. Dog friendly and they serve alcohol (margaritas, white claws, local beers). A block away, they also have a climb shop and camping area. read more
We were hiking at Natural Bridge when my group ran into two dudes who were trying to find the lodge. We were headed back that way when they mention we Miguel's as a great place to eat. Super hungry from the hike- we decided to give it a shot. This is my first time ever eating here and I'm not sure about how I feel about the restaurant and it's food. We got in a line outside to order and it took about thirty minutes for our food to arrive. The wait time didn't bother us because we found a nice spot to sit in the basement below the restraint and it was nice and cool. There's plenty of picnic tables outside, but only about half of them are in the shade and people seem to like to hold onto them. The teal building has their bathrooms. In my opinion, the pizza was average at best. My issue with it wasn't the crust or even the quality of the ingredients (the meatballs were an amazing topping), but instead with how our pizza was assembled. The cheese didn't cover all the sauce and there spots on the pizza that completely lacked in cheese (as you can see in the picture). This was probably an error or something as my friends pizzas both had cheese that went to the crust and did not have odd spots where there was no cheese. As one final comment, we ordered the 16' and it was definitely a 14'. I worked at a pizza place for two years (where we had up to 20'). I wasn't angry about that because it was still a good price for a 14' but I do feel like that is something they should change on their menu. read more

I was just there a few weeks ago. I got three pizzas (one just cheese and two with several toppings) and a salad to go. My total was $50. Hope this helps.
