The movers were apologetic, took pictures and informed me that the owner had insurance and would take care of getting it fixed because unfortunately this happens. I was not going to yell at the men but said it was ok and the claim would be filed. I provided the payment code not understanding providing payment assumes satisfaction. We filed the claim with the owner six weeks later and it was denied because we provided the payment. Wouldn't trust this owner.

First, Mr. Andrews is a veteran. We appreciate his service. His employees during the move were very…read morecourteous and tried their best. However, our moving experience was not good. Mr. Andrews came to our home to estimate the time and resources needed to move us to our new home. He estimated 1 truck, 3 movers, 6 hours. The movers were to be at our old home at 8:00 am. They didn't arrive until 9:30. When Mr. Andrews came to estimate the job, I told him one of the most important things was a large, antique family heirloom mirror. He said no problem. The movers said they couldn't move it. Bottom line, they left it and had to return and move it for an extra $300. The movers didn't finish until 10:30 that night. About mid-afternoon, they called for another truck and crew. We did provide the movers lunch and supper. The movers did not take precautions I was told, such as putting down protective barriers on our newly refinished floors. After they left, they did cause damage. My pup also caused damage. I alerted Mr. Andrews to this. He came by and saw the damage from the movers, then told his crew it all done by my pup. The flooring expert came. Looked at the damage and said about 70% was my pup, 30% was the movers. When I told Mr. Andrews this - under the impression we would share the cost of repairing the floor - well, I don't know how to say this - but he "threw a fit". On the phone he was yelling at me, denying any responsibility. At that point, I chose not to deal with him anymore and just worked with the flooring company on repairs (which turned out great). In addition, the top decorative piece of our highboy bedroom furniture was torn off. He said he would repair it, but then told me it broke because the furniture was cheap. He told me the pieces were in his garage. I asked him if he would return the pieces and leave them on my front door stoop. He has not. He was very unpleasant to us. His employees were courteous and tried their best, but some things were out of their control. I will look elsewhere next time. Ken H.
