After our belongings were placed into an 8x15 storage unit, I found that the items had not been organized efficiently. For example, the couch was positioned directly at the entrance, making it difficult to access other belongings. When I asked about the arrangement, the mover explained that customers must specifically request that items be organized. Given the cost of the service, I expected a more thoughtful and efficient placement of items in the storage unit. Overall, based on both the price and the quality of service, I would not recommend this company.

We started packing, and 11 o'clock came and they still weren't there. So my wife called and the company claimed they showed up at 9am, and no one was there. They didn't bother calling us to see where we were or anything. They just left. When we asked them to come back we were told they were at another move. So let that sink in. They were suppose to be at our house at 10:30 to help us move over the next 8 hours, yet they magically had another move scheduled the same day that they needed to be to 30 minutes after they were scheduled to help us move. It's 2018, so I have gotten use to poor customer service, but this is the most unprofessional thing I have ever experienced from a business. We are lucky we weren't sued from the buyers for not being out in time. But it didn't end there. The next day, they charged us $100, for a move they didn't even do. I would never trust this company to anything for me. The only thing this has going for it is an employee Jasmine, who went out of her way to help us find movers.

The promptness & professionalism of the owner, Matt, was excellent. He was very quick to respond, and accommodate my requested date & time. He kept in contact with me throughout the process. Initially I was told that the gas stove I own would be disconnected by the mover on the day of the move. This wasn't true and for some reason the mover told me that he couldn't disconnect the gas line on my stove; this would void the contract he has with his employer (1st Class Moving). This baffled me because just two days prior, I was told something totally different. My next concern is that the movers had to make two trips in order to move all of my items. Of course this was time consuming, but moreover I was concerned about the movers working a lot longer than they were prepared for. My move went from being a four or five hour move to about an eight hour move. After doing a personal inventory of my personal items I found there were some dings and scratches on a couple of items. But I figured things like that will happen and it wasn't worth filing a claim. The crew basically shuffled around with no real sense of urgency or obligation. Well, all except for one guy who worked like a maniac while the other four shuffled around. Consequently, The job spanned two full days, cost $X + Y and was ultimately not finished. So, with respect to their ability to estimate the job, caveat emptor. Second, it seemed like the crew moving us were brand new to the moving industry. They did not seem to know how to load the truck properly. They did not brace or block the load. They did not overlap the stacks so each stack just ran from the floor to about halfway up with no support; just leaning towers. Consequently, when we arrived at the other end, many things had fallen over, dumped out, jumbled together, and was a terrible mess from which we are still recovering. Of course, this also means that numerous things were broken and naturally, this wasn't discovered till after they were gone. Not only were things broken and damaged, but they also dinged up our freshly painted walls and otherwise showed disregard for our possessions, our home, and our time. They even managed to 'hide' the one, most important box that we had identified as such. It's been three weeks and we still haven't found that box. Now, the owner did offer us a discount and he should have; thanks. But that didn't finish the job or cover the damages or make things better. I've moved more than a few times and twice cross-country. This experience was, far and away, the worst. And while I'd be willing to sit down to a meal with these people (they were nice), I simply cannot recommend them as movers. We used Absolute Moving Services last year when we moved from one house to another in Bartlett…read moreafter more than a few friends and acquaintances recommended them. We'd gotten several quotes and, I'll be honest here, I wanted to go a cheaper route with a different provider. My wife, being the smarter one of us, stood her ground and insisted we use Absolute. She could tell by the attention to the quote alone that they were going to provide excellent service. The communication between the company and us before the day of the move was great. On the day of the move, they called us when they were on the way, they showed up when they said they would, the crew were all very polite and treated our stuff with care, and they worked quickly and efficiently. I can't recommend them enough. As my wife said while standing her ground - "there are some things you just don't try to cheap out on!" I'll learn one day. Maybe.
