I am now looking at buying a new EV here and test drove an option without feeling huge pressure. Car purchases are already hard and high stakes. They tried for 2 weeks without being able to retrieve it and then told me there was nothing they could do and refused to provide a second key. They also upsold me on useless warranty's and when I came back to cancel them they treated me like I was personally attacking them. attacking them. When I insisted that I wanted them removed the financial manager said "whatever I don't care anyway". On top of this the battery dies a week after I bought it. They obviously missed it or willfully sold me a bad battery and they refused to compensate me for the new battery. On top of this they repeatedly ignored my calls and failed to get back to me when I reached out. Overall I had a terrible experience and wish I never worked will them. I took my Subaru to Yark Subaru because the clutch was slipping. I asked them to open it up and let me know what was going on. Instead, I was hit with a flat quote: $3,000 to replace the clutch -- without even opening it up. When I asked why it cost 3x more than the same repair I paid for last year ($1,000), the answer I got was: "Inflation." That was it. No breakdown. No explanation. Just a shrug and a buzzword. Then came the A/C issue. To their credit, Yark Subaru did send a really helpful diagnostic video, and their staff was professional, courteous, and respectful throughout -- that deserves acknowledgment. But the verdict? Replace the entire system for another $1,000. At that point in life, I was already going through it. I honestly considered trading in my car and starting fresh. But maybe God looked at my credit score and said: "Nah. Not yet. You're not ready for that car note -- this is a lesson." So I got a second opinion. A transmission shop replaced my entire clutch system for $1,000. Then another mechanic checked the A/C -- all it needed was a recharge for $120. Total cost: $1,120. Compared to $6,000+ in dealership estimates. Look -- I still love Subaru. I love my car. And I respect the professionalism I received at Yark. But the pricing? The assumptions? The lack of transparency? That part needs to change. Because it's not just about money -- it's about trust. So if you're reading this: Get a second opinion. Whether it's a clutch, an A/C issue, or a major life decision -- don't assume the first quote is the only truth. Sometimes that "no" you got? It's not rejection -- it's redirection. Hope this helps!

This review focuses specifically on their parts / service department. During regular business hours when they are said to be open, no one ever answers the phone. My husband will call multiple time and be forced to leave a message after no one ever answers. And then no call back. This has happened multiple times and I am left driving over there to order parts for him in person. This most recent time I walked in there was a young man sitting at the register doing absolutely nothing. Why could he have not been returning the message that my husband left hours earlier when they did not answer the phone. I am so sick of hearing my husband complain about this. It kind of makes me not want to buy another Subaru since they are making this difficult for us. It may seem like a little thing, but it does affect how we feel about the brand and you should really let that sink in.

Multiple attempts to the dealership with no return calls or texts. When we finally got one it was a, oh you can bring it in and we'll replace/fix but you'll have to pay for it .... Sigh....ok whatever. It's been about a month since we've had the car we purchased for our teen daughter and we've had nothing but issues with it now!! Emissions Coil had to be replaced, and apparently it was just stuck in there with clips broken. Spark Plugs had to be replaced. Also found that the emissions control hose was just duct taped together. How they seemed to not disclose or miss all this with any of their own work or inspections done is beyond me. Thank God my kid didn't leave for school just yet cause this lemon of a car just stalls at the drop of a hat!!! We've got to put a ton of work into it, so BEWARE when buying a used car off this lot!!! Get it checked out from a mechanic you trust before you buy!!! EDIT 7/19/24 The car still won't start or run, we've had it to our mechanic as well as to a Chevy dealer in Toledo and no one has any clue what's going on with it.... Knapp sent us a piece of $hit that we spent money on and just can't use, my daughter who's about to go off to college, now has no car!!! BEWARE!! Knapp can reach out to us if they want to help, but we're sure they won't, they knew what they sold us and didn't care!! This 2013 Chevy Cruze is a paperweight!!! Edit 7/26/24 This car has officially been in the shop longer than my daughter drove it ... Still no fix, we've had to put in 2K worth of work, for the car to be a dead paperweight!!! We are now out a car because no one can figure out what is wrong with it, we are out $10K, my daughter now has no transportation for college which she leaves for in a few weeks because we have no way to purchase another car for her. Kapp sells LEMON'S!!!!!! I am now beyond stressed and frustrated that they sold us this 2013 Chevy Cruze with makeshift work done, duct tape work done, just to get it off the lot and die!!! Thanks for killing our finances and killing the joy a kid had going to college with her own car!!! 7/29 Update We FINALLY have the car fixed thanks to Total Auto Care Toledo who had a slew of problems to go through, here's the final run down of what Knapp Chevrolet sold us .. Broken tab glued in connector going from the coil pack to the engine. Other end of the pigtail going to the Control Unit / Computer was aftermarket replacement that was wired in wrong Emission control house duct taped / electrical tapped together. They did have to reprogram the Body Control Module and The Computer. The computer ended up not being fired that's how the found out the other end of the connection was wired wrong and held together with clips. When they installed the new computer it still wouldn't start. So they put the original computer back in and rewired and soldered all the connections correctly the re programed everything!! The parts that where clipped in wrong where aftermarket because genuine parts are color coded ... The parts that where connected wrong had all white wires... The car is finally back up and running... If you buy a used car from Knapp take it to your own mechanic first to have it looked at, don't trust the sales guy, or their service department..

He left his $350 pair of sunglasses inside while he did paperwork. Excited about his purchase he didn't notice the missing glasses until he was on his way home. I'm sure there were a limited number of employees in the building at that time, but they have not been able to return his glasses or let us know if the culprit was ever caught. (Shouldn't have been too hard-how many people were cleaning up vehicles that morning!) Deeply disappointed and will not be purchasing any future vehicles from this business.

Pretty stingy place to look for a vehicle,…read more I inquired on carfax.com about a 2025 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, later that day I was called by unfortunately later to find out an absolutely awful salesman by the name of Steve Myers. (I feel awful for anyone who has to work with this egotistical sore loser) I asked over the phone if the vehicles price is negotiable and if I could toss in an offer, he stated how the dealership is a volume dealer and their prices are put "aggressively" which didn't ultimately answer the question but I didn't think much of it and tossed in an offer. Few hours later I was told that the vehicles price is firm, to which I responded by saying "Okay, let me know if anything changes", he tried to justify the price by sending me a data analysis report of similar spec to spec vehicles within a 300 mile radius of the dealership, his vehicle was ranked 3rd for best price in the market, I asked him "where's the location of the first two" to which he claims that locations are not given. After doing not even 10 minutes of digging, I found both. 2 days later, he messages me saying "I saw it." In my response to me seeing the vehicle he failed to provide me information on. Cool I guess? 4 days later, he sends me the listing again and he drops the vehicles price by about $200-300-ish. I told him to delete all my information as I'll be looking for other options in the market since I wasn't too fond of his tone from the start, he states my offer "was not exceptionally fair" to which I show him a better vehicle in the market with a lower price than his AND lower miles than his. His response? "Go buy it." What a ways to go for a salesman Anyways, spend your hard earned money elsewhere if you're looking for a vehicle, this place does NOT deserve your business.
