After working with Ben, I passed my road test yesterday, the first try !!! Sort of…read more My experience is a little unique in that I actually got my license the first time as a teenager over 20 years ago. I hit a certain season in my life, ended up letting my license lapse and here I was now ready to get my license again. I'd been an active NYC driver the full twenty plus years, so I had no problem with driving (though I hadn't driven the 6 years that it had lapsed). In spite of my experience, I was, admittedly, definitely NOT road test ready. After working with Ben, I saw that I had MANY things to unlearn, relearn, and practice. If you're looking for a good driving school to help you pass your road test, LOOK-NO-FURTHER! Ben KNOWS what he is doing. I found him to be detailed, firm, clear, and very encouraging. A brand new driver would absolutely thrive with his approach. He is so so dedicated to his craft. I would wholeheartedly recommend Pierre Paul Driving school for any driver, whether new or seasoned. In fact, on the day of my road test, I encountered another student of theirs who traveled all the way from the Bronx to get his lessons with them. People are willing to travel to this place! Honestly, it's for good reason. Their prices are very fair and the process from start to finish (paying for classes, booking appts, taking the road test) is efficient and thorough. Communication is excellent (think confirming appointments etc). I can't praise these guys enough. I had a great experience with this company through and through.

Please think carefully before enrolling in this driving school. Based on my personal experience, I…read morefound the service unreliable, unprofessional, and not worth what I paid. During one scheduled lesson, the one of instructor spent approximately 40 minutes talking to me and only about five minutes letting me drive around a single block. The other instructor, Bern, conducted my lessons, and I experienced his behavior as aggressive and rude. After these experiences, I requested a refund for the unused services remaining in my package. In the morning, I was told that I would receive a refund. Later, Bern called me, refused the refund, and appeared to pretend that he was someone else from management. I am a medical student(doctor in training), and I am sharing this as an honest account of my own experience. I would be willing to provide further details if needed. I sincerely recommend researching other driving schools in Brooklyn--or learning from a qualified family member if that is a safe and legal option--before paying this school.

I went for my five hour class and it was great! I got there before the class started at 10, and I…read morewas first in line. They took me right away, the front desk people ( two women ) were extremely friendly. Explained everything clearly all with a smile on this gloomy day. We started the class upstairs and the instructor Kat, light skin, grew hair, was such a great teacher! She was extremely funny and witty. My last experience in a five hour class was horrible I fell asleep, the teacher only put on a video , didn't speak and didn't give us any paper or a pen to take notes. However Kat had us all prepared. She encouraged participation, you can tell she has a genuine love for safety. And as a new driver I appreciated that. It kept me attentive and actually wanting to learn. This school is really great, I hate the area but I would definitely come back for anything else I need. I paid for the fast road test so I'm going to be practicing all week. As Kat says "observation is key!" Thanks again!!

The people who work in the office are very nice and competent regarding scheduling and the DMV. I…read morerequested a driver and car for my road test. I was told to arrive to their office an hour before my test at Starrett. However, the driver didn't arrive to their office until 20 minutes before the test, and then he had to get breakfast, which wasted more time. I was instructed to drive a block away from the test, and was told, "hurry up" to get there in time. We arrived to the test with a couple minutes to spare, and needless to say, I was not in a calm mood. Image tells you, on the parallel park, to put your right hand behind the front passenger headrest as you reverse. DRIVING WITH ONE HAND on the road test is an automatic fail for many examiners. Following Image's instructions, I failed at Starrett and Seaview. The examiners literally hit the passenger side brake of the driving school car as I was backing up to attempt my parallel. I was done before I barely began thanks to Image's instructions. I took my third road test on Staten Island, and used a Staten Island driving school for my car and driver. I was told to keep both hands on the wheel at all times during the test. I nailed my parallel park and passed. My test literally was less than five minutes, close to four. My advice to anyone scheduling a road test in Brooklyn: Avoid Starrett, Coney Island, and Red Hook. Seaview is arguably the easiest test site in NYC. Just know there are wide streets and your three point turn cannot become a near U-turn.
