My child went to get a perm which was around $150. It turned out with some pieces straight and others like Jerry curls and some with just waves. The lady was very disrespectful by talking bad and complaining about other clients to my child. I do not recommend this place for getting a perm. Will not be going back again. read more

Update: my review is of the salon because I have been dealing with the owner. She is now texting my minor daughter and I and threatening to sue us over our reviews. CRFA and anti-slapp laws exist because we are entitled to review our experience and we have. Threatening a minor. wow. This is my opinion of my experience with the owner of the salon. Since Candice wants to respond to my minor child in an unprofessional and nasty way, I am putting my review back up with some professional pointers because she does NOT honor her word nor does she have any integrity. If I was the unprofessional one, my negative review would have stayed up UNTIL we received a refund, but I did what was asked of me and she did not honor her own word and issue a refund and then gave us the run around and lied about us here. I can post all the texts here if need be. My 17 year old daughter showed the stylist, Amber, a picture of her OWN hair and told her that's what she wanted and Amber did her own thing because "she knows what's best". She charged her $305 after she'd been quoted $150 on the phone and drove 2 HOURS one way to get to this appointment because we live 130 miles away from Bend. Her graduation is 3.5 weeks away. We did NOT ask for a refund, Candice offered it IF I took my negative review down, which I did immediately. Now it's back in a 2.0 update. These are the things that happened to us on Saturday, May 6, 2023. How to be professional: 1. You honor your word and don't offer money to have negative reviews taken down. 2. When you offer a full refund if a review is taken down and the customer does their part, you immediately follow through on your part to refund. You did not, but I did. 3. Use proper grammar, punctuation, and capitalizations when texting clients. 4. When a client shows you a photo of THEIR OWN HAIR and tells the stylist THIS is what I want, the stylist does exactly that, instead of saying, "Oh I know what's best" and then proceeds to dye the hair a completely different color from the photo. No brown haired gal wants to pay $305 for someone to dye their hair brown! 5. Because a client is quiet doesn't give the stylist free-for-all to do whatever they want including, and especially, giving someone bangs without asking first! 6. The client gets to decide if the stylist did a good job and if the client likes it. Not the stylist. 7. Do not offer a refund until and unless you are actually ready and willing to do so immediately. Or you tell the client you will issue one after you do an investigation. 8. Never lie to your clients. You spoke to Amber Saturday several times but claim Monday morning that you still haven't spoken to her... We have the text messages to prove it. 9. Do not tell people you've been in business for 43 years. If their hair is messed up, they don't care and it has zero bearing on what happened to the client. Your dad has been in business 43 years, not you. Still a moot point. 10. Do not speak rudely, negatively, or unprofessionally to a minor child and expect their mom to not go full mama bear. 11. It is NOT the client's responsibility to be professional. IT is yours. Always. 100% 12. Clients are not rude nor unprofessional because they follow up and ask what is going on with a full refund they were supposed to receive and have not. It is rude and unprofessional give a client the run around and never issue the refund. 13. Recognize that stylists under the umbrella of your business DO represent your business and DO impact your reputation, independent or not. People are allowed to post negative reviews. No one is immune to them. Bullying is illegal and freedom of speech is protected. Use this as a learning opportunity on what not to do. Honor and integrity matter. Located in the strip mall on Highway 97 that houses the Outlet Mall, Classic Beauty Supply bills itself as a family style hair salon in addition to being a beauty supply outlet. In the latter category, it is hard to imagine anything hair related, from shampoo to styling products to accents that one could not find there...from the traditional to the hip. Same with cosmetic "stuff". In the former category, the hair salon is at the back of the retail space and while it is a spacious setting housing about five stylists, this is not the sort of deluxe, "pamper me" salon of current trends. Still it is comfortable, clean and bright, and everyone is friendly. You'll find customers of both genders and all ages in the client seats at the stylists' stations and by the conversations taking place, it seems the majority of customers are regulars. That's a good sign. More good news is that the salon is easy to get to...good and easy parking (an increasingly rare commodity in Bend) in the outlet mall lot and the salon is accessible to folks of all physical abilities too. My gf went in to get a balayage and got something completely different would not recommend, the hairdresser was very rough and cut her hair for no reason and then charged for it. They said over then phone it would be 150$ but they charged us 305 they were taking advantage of our age would not recommend, run away from this place. read more

This is the most unprofessional business I have ever been to. We went in early to be sitting and waiting for our hair dresser. She then brought us into the room saying she had to cut my hair in order to continue so she started cutting it, she never said it would be an extra 65 dollar charge. Over the phone I was quoted 150 for the price and you will not believe the price we ended up paying. The hair dresser (Amber) tried to make my boyfriend do jobs for her while my hair was being done and made him extremely uncomfortable. I had a picture and showed her what i wanted, and it was not some insane celebrity photo of hair i wanted, it was a picture of my own hair and how it was done a year ago. I wanted a balayage and she completely messed up my hair, gave me bangs even though I didn't have them and she didn't ask before giving them to me. She died part of my hair without my permission brown, and tried to cover that up by saying oh that's what i think is best. Not to mention she talked only about herself the entire time. She kept yanking my hair and was extremely rough with my head. She messed up the foils in my hair and had to take them out early, now my hair is super blonde in some spots and yellow blonde in others. She took my picture without permission and tried to take a video of me. In the end i paid $305 for the worst hair cut and balayage to ever exist. We drove two hours to go here, and we needed up leaving a bad review. Later that day they tried to give us a refund if we took down our review and never actually gave a refund. The only reason they have good stars is that they think it's okay to try to pay people off. We never asked for a refund but they offered and we took them up on that offer. Then she got mad at us for wanting out money after taking down the review. The worst costumer service and the worst business to ever exist. Run far away from this place read more

Won a free "giveaway" for Isa's services however she canceled on me twice the day of my appointments . The first time was because she over booked and never wrote me in her book in the first place. The second time was because I was not engaging in her Instagram posts however I've had the app deleted. As someone who is supposed to help make people feel good she definitely has made me feel crappy. Please don't do giveaways and decide the day of that someone isn't good enough for your services. Worst service EVER! Though it is local and convenient, after going there 4x and experiencing the same level of service, I won't be going back. Neither will the wife or kids. Maybe it's because I'm a man but even going in with the wife last weekend and waiting at the counter to purchase a few items, we stood there for about 5 minutes before we finally got fed up and left. I made an appointment and brought in a few pictures of how I wanted my haircut. I was very satisfied and his final cut looked exactly as the pictures I presented. So I needed a color touch up, I didn't want to wait for another week to see my regular stylist out of town. I called two places and this place was able to get me about four days after my call. I believe it was Candace who answered, very sweet, super nice, she told me it was $45.00 for the root touch up. So I find the place, it's in the back of the outlet mall center. I walk in to what appears to be a store with shampoos and such and a petite man scurries from the back "Are you here for _____" Honestly I didn't remember who I was there for I only knew what I needed to get done and I said "Yes". The back of the store is the small salon area, and the petite man took me to a chair. There was one woman there, also getting some coloring done I noticed, I presumed she was the petite man's customer. He started talking to the lady loudly in an animated way, waving his arms. He had my attention. His face resembled that of Charlie Chaplin's with his little mustache. "I just can't believe some people, especially the ones from California, they are so arrogant. I got one guy that walked and was mad that I couldn't give him an appointment, I even showed him my book to prove that I was booked up, I said see? (he pretended to turn a book around). I mean I have other girls here, there's no newbies" He kept going on, and about that time my hairdresser whose name is Carrie came out and looked at my hair. She was pleasant, no nonsense, got the job done. So it was time pay, and she tells me it's $65.00 and I told I her was quoted $45.00 on the phone when I made the appointment. She said, "ah no it's $65.00, I think the girl is new that told you that, she didn't know" I was a bit disappointed to hear this. I think if you're given a quote over the phone it should be honored regardless if it's a "new" person. I paid the $65.00, and I gave her a tip. I felt this experience was worth yelping about. I just moved here from San Jose, so a bit of advice to business owners: be sure when you're dissing people from CA, that no one in the room is from CA.
