I'm admittedly not the car guru in my family. I can do a pretty mad impression of the noises cars have made for me over the years, but I don't have a robust understanding of what that translates to in "what we need to take care of here." So I'm fairly hesitant to take a car anywhere without someone at least a little more knowledgeable in tow. After a series of said noises and some unfortunate stalling, it came time to visit a local shop. We didn't really have an advantage of shopping around - the issue was fairly critical - so we did some searching and landed on Midtown. They weren't able to do all the work in-house but have a relationship with another shop that handled our issue swiftly and exactly within the proposed cost range. They were communicative and helpful, taking care and time to really explain the work they proposed. They're a small shop so this means some limitations in their availability and proactive calls with updates, but we understood this going into it. Quality work and friendly service. read more

They put the spare on and didn't even charge me. They even suggested some other places that were open on the weekends to get a tire. They did all of that knowing that I might not buy from them. Guess what? I DID buy from them even though it was a hassle for me to wait until Monday (yes, I fail to plan). I really wanted to give them my business because I knew they would take good care of me. They are aces all the way!

Use to be a good place for service work, but since it sold to the current owners not so. They…read morerebuilt my transmission, right after I got it back I told them there was a shutter. One of the employees took it for a drive, agreed around 30 there was a shudder. They ask me to leave it for a couple of days which was done, only was 3 days not 2. When I went back I was told that 2 of the techs had driven it and found nothing, only road noise. Now with under 10,000 miles on the rebuild the transmission is leaking, with the shudder being the cause of the leak. BE AWARE POOR SERVICE NOW AT THIS LOCATION

I can't say enough GOOD things about Luke at Midtown Auto Repair! He went above and beyond and I am so thankful for that. I was in town for work with my own personal vehicle. As my day was ending, I was traveling near the Botanical Gardens with my windows open I heard a loud noise, like tin cans were dragging under my truck. I stopped and could see a belt hanging from underneath my truck. I called three different companies to help. All said that they could look at my truck the next day or day after but I was 7 hours from home and wanted to leave that night. I explained to Luke over the phone what my issues were. He said that he could take a look that night and would get the parts ordered. When I asked him if it was safe to drive over to the shop, he asked me to wait and HE PERSONALLY drove over to me on the side of the road and took a look. He offered to drive it over to the shop incase something bad happened but knew that we had only 6 blocks to go. That is ABOVE AND BEYOND and saved me $110.00 for a 6 block tow truck ride. He got the belt that I needed and I was back on the road that evening. Luke was patient, kind, and helped a country gal, away from home in the city, get her vehicle fixed. Call them if you need some help. Super trustworthy and honest and will explain your options in detail. Their location is in a parking garage and is very safe. I know I appreciated them tremendously! I took my truck to Midtown Auto this week, and couldn't be happier with the service I received. As someone who is not very mechanically inclined, it was refreshing to find a mechanic who spelled everything out for me. Luke and Will figured out what was wrong with my truck in no time and had it fixed by the following morning. I was happy with the job they did, but even happier with the customer service I was given. I will back for any routine maintenance on my vehicles from now on. read more

Will and Luke were super friendly and took care of my SUV quickly AND at a great price! I will be back for additional routine maintenance on my vehicle.
