It became similar to any other hot chocolate you buy at gas stations. However, I really enjoyed the chocolate marshmallow pop. it was perfectly gooey and sweet! The atmosphere was still nice, but the restroom being permanently inaccessible is quite inconvenient.

They are also expensive though. Did the math, truffles is about double the price from store bought or chain chocolate shop. I know it is hand made and they have different flavors but I can't tell a difference. It is worth a try if you are nearby. Or just get ice cream and drinks. Those looks good too.

I very well may have as a child but wouldn't remember. Once I moved, going home came a very big deal to me and embraced Michigan, and more importantly, Kalamazoo became so much of a bigger deal to me. Each time I have been home since 2007, I have stopped into The Spirit of Kalamazoo to check out what new items they may have that I feel I "need." I have gotten things over the years that now I wished I got two of, specially the "Just Another Animal in the Zoo" cup that I bought in pink, but broke and I cannot find anywhere online to replace. The store has lots of odds and end art pieces from local artist, some of which I pick up as I go for when I can make an amazing room filled with things from home and sports, especially since I am a die hard Michigan sports fan. The staff are always friendly and helpful but also let you shop without hovering over you. I am very glad that I can help this local business each time I am home, as it has become part of my journey now.

It was Sunday evening and I noticed they were closed on Monday, so I took a chance and sent a request through Facebook messenger. They responded quickly and I was able to order a large pan of banana pudding for pickup on Christmas Eve. The order was ready when I arrived, and I liked the exterior and the interior of the shop. The owner and the worker I saw were both smiling when I came in and both seemed really friendly. The portion size was larger than I anticipated so we had more than enough for our family. They all loved it! This was my first time visiting Dessert First, but with their service and the way my family enjoyed the banana pudding, I will definitely return.
