I've been going to this place for a very long time now. It is with no doubt the best hookah place in Columbus. The hookah is amazing and made by Arab people, very authentic. This place doesn't have as much college students as other places in the area. But the more Arabs you see the better the hookah is. The cheapest hookah last for more than 2 hours and others even more. I lIterally come here every day. I feel like I'm treated as a queen. I get blue mist a lot and the hookah I'd almost always prefect! ! If I ever have a problem they fix it right away with no attitude. I come here so much they give me some discounts. I even forgot to pay last time and they weren't upset at all! !! The chai tea here is fantastic and the food (cheese pies) were amazing! !! I sit outside and its comfortable with an outlet so I can plug in my phone. Also they have televisions outside and they always have games on tv. It's more expensive than sine hookah places but it's worth every single pennie. A friend and i walked into the Midnight Hookah at about midnight to conclude an evening of carousing. I was lured in by the sign especially. The interior is neater and cleaner feeling than the other hookah bars in town. The walls are painted a textured red and many sconces and hanging lights illuminate the large single room. It was much brighter than i expect such places to be. The large Middle eastern guy at the counter where we sat on stools was very preoccupied with his laptop and the feeling i got was that any ordering of food or smoking device was an unwelcome interruption to him. But we did break through his cyber-cloud and ask for an order of the meat pies. His assistant was friendly and commenced preparing the food right away. Preparing the food clearly meant removing the pies from a ziploc bag and microwaving them. Well, i can't really hold them too accountable for the food, because MH does not bill itself as a restaurant. And the pies were not all bad, doughy to the extreme to be sure, but the beef inside had a nice cinnamon flavor like one often finds in Middle Eastern food. Looking around, the clientele was older than the folks who usually frequent hookah places around here, though there were young couples as well. There seemed to be an ongoing game that i didn't look at too carefully or recognize among the older men sitting at a few of the tables. The scene was somewhat unique and so MIdnight Hookah might be worth a visit. read more

I ordered chicken shawarma take away. It was an interesting atmosphere. I've had Uber pickups here, and I've never done hookah myself. There seems to be a heavy homosexual presence. While I was waiting for my food, two men came out of a one toilet bathroom. Once the line was gone, I was going to use the bathroom "to pee", but a guy was just standing in the bathroom with the door open and looking out. I think he was waiting for me. Great service, one of the owners was behind the register and everyone is very friendly. They have a huge variety to choose from and their Hookahs are high quality, not that duct taped or plastic stuff. Very authentic ambiance and quality products. It can get pricey because you obviously will get thirsty if you are there long enough and the bottled water is taxed totaling $1.60 and they have a huge sign right before you walk in that says "no food or drink". Light refreshments and Arabic coffee and tea is also offered. The restrooms are clean, the place is well lit, there are TV's and plenty of tables and a few couches. It is one of the very few hookah bars in Columbus that offers a clean environment, comfy furniture to slouch on (if your under some type of influence like me) and a friendly/informative staff to flirt with. I moved to Columbus from DC in September and was eager to find some good hookah spots since my standards for hookah are pretty high given that I am of a Middle Eastern background. One of my friends introduced me to Midnight Hookah and I immediately felt back at home. The vibe is really chill and the couches are super comfortable, and most importantly their hookah is really fresh. You can tell when hookahs are not properly cleaned or the water is not changed from the bottom, but this is definitely not the case at Midnight. The flavor comes out really smooth and tastes like back home so you know you are getting an authentic experience. The staff are always very attentive and kind, and I feel so welcome here every time I come, and it has helped me to feel more a part of the Columbus community. There are always a lot of different people there ranging in ages and ethnic groups, as well as families and students. Also, their food is really good in particular their shawarma platter which my friends always get. Whether your visiting or live in Columbus, definitely check out this great spot! read more

Too EXPENSIVE! I go there once or twice a week to spend a good time with a girlfriend or two. By the time each one of us get a simple tea or coffee with one hookah to go around all of us, we end up with a bill of $60! This is not a dine-in, nor is it a dance club! I think it is way over priced!!!@@ Also the music is too loud we could barely hear each other! If we wanted loud music we could've gone to a bar! We go there to chat for an hour for heavens sake!!! I do enjoy the authentic feel of the music and atmosphere. We smoked out of a pineapple, which was fun, except it burned out entirely too quickly, and seemed very overpriced. The seating is hard and rigid, more like a restaurant than a lounge. Compared to the relaxing hookah lounge experience that I'm used to, it simply wasn't all that enjoyable. I love hookah and coming to Columbus for a week, I was afraid I would be disappointed. I found Midnight via Yelp and decided to check it out. To begin, the location is slightly off the main drag (High Street) and I couldn't figure out if the adjoining parking lots were for the business so I parked on the street. I was greeted by very friendly staff who answered all my questions. My hookah came quickly and the taste was good. They have Wi-Fi and a comfortable environment if you're alone. Prices were great ! I absolutely love this place! Have been there several times and definitely planning on more trips in the future. It is a great environment, with the room filled with big, plush couches and television sets all around. There is a large variety of flavors that even the non-hookah fan could enjoy. Workers obviously know what they're doing and are very quick to change out coals and provide assistance to customers. The food is obviously frozen and microwaved, but it is delicious (try the cheese pies! yum!) and reasonable considering that dining isn't their main form of business. The only reason why I didn't give Midnight Hookah five stars is because the workers, at times, can be a little creepy. There has been multiple times where I have looked up and caught several employees staring at me. My first time going I was with my girlfriends and a worker approached us, began to flirt, tried to impress us with his singing/rapping abilities, and then proceeded to ask for all our numbers. Hi there I'm izzy, I have been coming to midnight hookah since 2009. This place has ALWAYS been my home away from home. Weather it is after work for an hour or all night work my friends in always super comfy here. The owner romeo. And terrek treat me like family. There have been several times something has happened and they are super understanding. They have seen me laugh and very, everybody can get the best process on shisha AND hookahs here. Literally anything you want they have. The parking is pretty easy if you know the area. They do offer 3$ parking next door and there is street parking which is pretty reliable. The prices aren't really any more expensive then anywhere else and you don't have to be seated with children like at mangos, or taste your coals like at shisha lounge, or be in a dirty environment like at gypsy. The interior is a definite step up from more some of the more grimy, unpolished hookah joints and Arabic music and videos add to the ambiance. I felt like I had walked into some hangout in Beirut, not a block off of High St. Like the other reviewer pointed out, you'll want to eat before or after coming here. Midnight Hookah is all about hookah. That, and the unique Middle-Eastern beverages that they serve such as the ironically named Laziza (which means delicious in Arabic) non-alcoholic malt, beverage and a rose-water based drink that the establishment prepares called "jallab", which isn't available 1/4 times in my experience. Better get there early and as the employee whispered to my friend, since a lady was present, "It's good for a man". The hookahs come in numerous flavors, last a long time, and we didn't have one we didn't like. In the summer there's an outdoor patio if it's a bit too bustling on the inside. This is my regular place to go when looking for a fun night out with my friends. I've been coming to Midnight Hookah for almost 2.5 years now, and it only keeps getting better. As far as the food goes, their desserts are amazing and it's the ONLY place I've been able to find Vimto, not that I have reason to look too hard considering I usually am at Midnight once a week. It gets really crowded at times but it makes me nothing but proud that the establishment is doing so well! The best hookahs I've seen at a hookah bar and by far the best selection. While Midnight was closed for its remodel, my friends and I tried out a few different places around high street and NONE of them compared to Midnight. They were rude and had weird limitations on coals per hookah and guests per table. Nothing compares to the owners and the atmosphere of Midnight. Can't wait for me weekly visit soon! read more
