This appears to be the most popular Hookah in the Columbus area. What better place to try? In addition, they serve food. Really good food. Today we ordered the Hummus plate, the Baba Ghanoug and a pot of hot tea. The beauty of having four or more at the table is sampling! As you know, we order all our snacks with additional plates. I like this place they serve good hookha's and surprisingly enough their food is amazing. Love their ambience of outdoor seating with the fairy lights. Where to begin... After I openly left a 1-star review the merchant followed me out to scream, in the most business professional way, "Never f***in come back here bro!" Which, while heartbreaking was likely the case. The merchant didn't care what occured, just that his little kingdom was at all criticized. He wasn't alone, and (check it off your Bing card) then the racism ensued. The merchant said he was going to state I was a thief, and when I said I'd call the police he and his other employees laughed before adding " Yeah we know how well that will go for you." However they felt about my review is whatever, but it's just the blatant and immediate jump to use the assumption of theft by way of me being black as a weapon that rubbed the wrong way. The irony of them saying "bro" while berating me and expressing how the police would likely believe them regardless of the truth he openly admitted to a crowed of customers is pretty telling. Ultimately the entirety of the staff joined in to express the same theory, slapping each other on the back over the knowledge that I, my opinion, the truth and my life or any one who appears similarly don't matter. This place is dirty like the couch cushions look like it's never been washed. Service sucks you have to go to the register to order food or drinks. Over priced as well $4.50 for a small tea like really ? You also HAVE to get a fruit head which increases the place of the hookah. The charcoal they use is easy lights which means they burn really fast and makes the smoke taste bad (easy lights are the most harmful charcoal for you) . The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were awesome and the food was good. However, as someone who has been smoking hookah for 10 years, there was alot to be desired there. They use quality hookahs, but they use quick light coals. This was the first time I have ever been to a lounge that uses quick lights. Quick lights are cheap, burn up quickly, heat unevenly, and they always have that quick light taste. This isn't a dig at Midnight as all quick lights share these qualities. Quick lights always taint any flavor you get out of the hookah. If you are a casual smoker, then go for it. The staff and food were great and the hookah wasn't the worst I've ever had. If you are a hookah aficionado like myself, I would find somewhere else. As nice as these guys were, I just can't give a hookah lounge that uses quick lights any more than 3 stars. read more

Midnight is definitely a favorite spot of mine, and what makes the difference is the exceptional customer service. The owner goes the extra mile to make sure that every customer is taken care of and leaves happy. The place has been recently renovated and continues to expand, every time you go it's like taking a little break from the monotony of Columbus and experiencing a new world filled with ethnic diversity. The hookah's always taste delicious and the Chai tea is especially delightful. My favorite part is the late night hours (till 4AM), which makes it an ideal spot to bring a date or a friend to for a nice evening chat where you don't really have to worry about them closing. I've been going here from time to time for a number of years now. The location is pretty convenient to get to from pretty much anywhere and it has suited well as a place to enjoy a bit of hookah while coding or completing other work. I'll definitely continue my visits here either to get things done or to meet up with friends. From memory I've recall rather enjoying mango, strawberry, a combination of melon and mint, and orange in particular. THE HOOKAH: We ordered two hookahs to share between 8 people. It was plenty to go around. One of the hookahs had a pineapple on top and the other ordered with an ice cold pipe. Now, please call me out on my ignorance, but I have never smoked an ice cold pipe hookah before. This was easily the smoothest, coolest, 'are you sure I'm smoking shisha', experiences ever. The cold pipe deserves all the stars itself. I'm coming back just for that alone. TL;DR: GET THE ICE COLD PIPE. IT'S LIFE CHANGING. THE SPACE: Super cool environment, there's two inside rooms and a huge outside patio. We smoked outside. Part of the patio is covered so when it started raining, we moved under the metal roof and continued as usual. Loved that we could still be outside without caring about the rain. SERVICE: You order inside at the desk and then sit down. The hookah comes pretty fast and the coals are changed regularly and by request. Not too much interaction with staff but the interaction I did have was pleasant. They were totally fine with our big group so that's cool. Secondly, if you come up with a complaint against anything then they just kick you out with the help of their security in very unruly manner infront of your friends and other customers. This is my favorite place to go when I have money. I used to work with one of the co-owners so admittedly I'm a little biased. But I was hooked from the first time I went and I had to follow up one of the other reviewers' comments about the food. The food here is delicious. Like all middle eastern food, it's very aromatic and full of spices. I've had the meat pies and spinach pies and they're great. They aren't always as good as the first time I had them but they're great. And the falafel sandwiches they have on Friday nights is the best falafel I ever had. A very sweet woman named Noor that I used to work with, her mother makes it. The coffee drinks are some of the best I've had, the baklava, among the best. They don't skimp on the food here. The hookahs, of course, are the draw though. I came here for the first time as part of a company sponsored event for the company that I worked at with the owner. I had a great time. My boss was drunk, I saw some old friends and had my first hookah. If you've never smoked a hookah, it's very much like flavored air. At first I didn't think I was pulling any smoke but then I blew out a big cloud of mostly vapor. It's a thick cloud of smoke but dissipates immediately. The flavor is very sweet, like vaporized juice. It's exquisite. If you're not a cigarette smoker, you'll get a little tobacco buzz. It's very relaxing and a great way to socialize. The ambience here is also great. I can't say I like the Arabic music videos but it is interesting to see their pop culture. Working in that company and coming here, I learned a lot about the Arabic culture. They're very warm and friendly. It's been a while since I've been there because I've been broke for months so they probably won't remember me now, but the first few times I went, several people came up and said hi and patted me on the back and shook my hand. I don't even know who most of them were but they had seen me there before and knew I knew Romi (the owner) and they were so gracious and friendly. It's truly a great experience to be immersed in another culture and taste drinks and foods you wouldn't normally find here. The Jallab, for instance, is delicious and it's something they only have on special occasions kind of like egg nog in America. It's a drink unlike anything here. Kind of like a spiced sarsparilla. I liked the hooka so much I bought one for home and I go there for my supplies and top shelf tobacco. They also have free wifi here btw. It is true about the guy on the laptop. I forgot his name but he's a really nice guy and really helpful when you can get his attention. Once I was there and they had a waitress, who was great. I was introduced to Midnight by my friend who is Lebanese, like the owners. While it is a little pricey, Midnight is something of a hidden gem in the Columbus shisha scene. I've only ever sat outside, so I can't comment on the interior but the service was good (especially in the company of my lovely friend) and the atmosphere was very nice. Even on busy nights it's pretty chill, with minimal groups of teenage boys being obnoxious. Their shisha has been consistently good with the one exception of our pipe yielding an unpleasant combination of grape and mint. We alerted one of the servers and he apologetically brought us a new one. read more

Went to go order a hookah, an individual tells me he's the chef and cant take my order and then someone else who does hookahs informed he needs approval from the owner to make a hookah.
