After losing the use of our reliable garage door opener having had it for so many years, we felt lost having taken it for granted. However, Middlesex Door Systems quickly resolved our problems. Everyone we communicated with at Middlesex were professional, and treated us with respect. From the time Paula quickly answering our inquiry about replacing our door opener, providing a quotation which was reasonably priced, scheduling the installation, to having the opener installed, the entire process took only 3 days. The installer, Danny, arrived on time, was polite, knowledgeable, and worked very efficiently in installing the new opener much more quickly than we had originally expected. He was very respectful of our property. We are very happy with our new Liftmaster door opener. Thank you! read more

A technician erroneously installed springs rated for a 160-lb garage door. My door weighs 120 LB. This caused the pulleys and cables to fail and put excessive force stress on my garage door opener. I had to replace the springs, pulleys, cables, and garage door opener. When this was brought to their attention, the VP of the company refused to take responsibility for their technicians' mistake. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

They have the worst service they lie they were supposed to come out twice. Had multiple excuses lied about what time they were coming showed up earlier. They think everybody has a easy job that they don't have to take time off from work. I would never recommend them. read more

We needed to replace our garage door opener and door. My in-laws had just used to Middlesex Door Systems recently. Based on their recommendation we contacted them and were not disappointed. The experience was excellent from initially contacting them (Shirley), the salesman (Bruno), and installer (Tyler). We love our new door and feel that we received good value for the money. I would definitely recommend them to anyone! read more

We called several garage door companies in our area and decided on Middlesex Door systems. Tyler installed two wifi Liftmaster garage door openers and patiently walked us through the myq set up for our iphones. Our experience with Middlesex was fantastic. Their service was efficient and friendly, and the quality of their products is top-notch. We chose Garaga doors for our family home in the Cape during our recent renovation, and when it came time to renovate our Boston property, we didn't hesitate to use them again. Safety is paramount for us, especially with two young children, and the automatic openers with sensors at the base provide us with an added sense of confidence in the security of our home. Thank you!! read more

Excellent and knowledgeable technician installed my new lift master which was 18 years old. He was in and out ! He did a great job from beginning to end. There prices are dead on ! There workmanship also dead on. I was very pleased with the first phone call to the company to the end result of the new motor. I'd use this place again in a minute. Shirley was very nice to deal with on the phone and the technician Scott was extremely knowledgeable about everything ! 5 star service ! read more

We added a new garage with two garage doors. Neil Cronin was professional and pleasant to deal with and provided a prompt quote and a garage door framing design schematic for the carpenter. Pricing was good. We ordered 2 Garaga flush doors that are galvanized steel and made to last. I saw Garaga, in Quebec makes the doors up to order. We got LiftMaster Elite Door openers with LED lights and battery back up. Excellent, fast openers. Caleb was the installer, I believe, along with another installer. The work was done professionally in one day and both doors are operating well. The salesman, office, and installers were excellent and I would choose Middlesex Door again without hesitation. They were very busy this year with so many people scheduling home projects in the pandemic but each company member worked to complete our job. An honest operation I would say! read more

Don the installer was great from being professional to given us assurance if we needed help to contact him. It was a wonderful experience to deal w/a company that has great sales & service. If they did shower installs I would've chose them instead of Newpro. The salesman lied& the company doesn't seem to care at all. read more

Living in such rough weather you have to do some research before buying a garage door and you quickly find out that other doors (Home Depot, etc.) quickly rust. I settled for Garaga, a well-reviewed Canadian garage door maker. Garaga pointed me to MDS, so I was very well advised for the best door for my garage by Neil. The door came in just a few weeks, just a perfect size, while installers others warned me that a gap was going to be left this door installed by MDS perfectly seals into the old and crumbled bricks. The installer was a real pro, the place was left spotless and reconnected the new door to the old motor by readjusting the height, and all was spotless at the end. Great experience overall, I highly recommend MDS for a garage door installation. read more

We have always been happy with our Middlesex Garage Door from Garaga. When we had a power outage that shorted out our garage door we immediately called Middlesex Door Systems because they installed the door and did a good job. I spoke with a woman who informed me that the cost to have a tech come to my house was $175 minimum just to give me an estimate! The woman I spoke with had no sense of urgency and was not helpful at all. I was very disappointed, especially since I have referred people to MDS for years. Fortunately, I mentioned this to a local handyman who had done work for me, and he came over to my house, found a loose connection, and charged me $19.95! MDS has a great door, but service is lacking to say the least. Very disappointed with Garaga as well. read more

Middlesex Door recently replaced two ancient garage door openers for me. I'll never know why I waited so long. The new units are quiet, attractive and have all the bells and whistles. A good price too. Everyone was pleasant to deal with, efficient, and safety conscious. Now all I need to do is have a giant garage sale so I'll have room for the cars. read more

The spring on our very old garage door snapped off. I was lost without easy access to my attached garage and remote. Middlesex Door Systems was one of the companies who gave us a quote to buy a new garage door with installation. We chose Middlesex Door Systems because their price for the identical product was significantly less money. In addition, the representative gave us the option of replacing the broken spring so we could use our garage while we waited for our new door to come in. No other company suggested this option that allowed me to park my new car in the garage. The installer was extremely competent and courteous. He came exactly when he said he would and the workmanship was extraordinary for both the temporary repair and the new door installation. I highly recommend this wonderful company. read more

Middlesex Door Systems - Our New Garage Door - Garage Door Services Near Me - Burlington, Massachusetts

Our manual garage door had a broken spring and a bent track. Scheduling was easy, and the technician Joe arrived on time, worked quickly, and didn't try to upsell me. He actually pointed out that we had a spare spring in the garage from the previous owners, which I hadn't noticed, so he used that and didn't charge us for the part. The price for the service was reasonable, too. read more

We were adding a two car garage to our home in Woburn. Middlesex is right around the corner in Burlington so I thought it would be good to deal with them. I was right! Damien Bogle was a pleasure to deal with, he is dedicated to customer service. He even came to the house and found that our contractor had framed both openings incorrectly. Luckily the corrections were made easily at that time. The doors and openers are great. The pricing was fair and the installation went very smoothly. I have no complaints as everything went just like it should have. read more

I was in need of two new garage doors for my home as they were 25 years old. I searched for local contractors in my area with a great reputation. During my search I identified Middlesex Door Systems of Burlington, MA. I set-up an appointment with Neil Cronin, their sales consultant, and was very impressed with his knowledge, and professionalism, which included a very detailed proposal. I proceeded with the work, and replaced both doors, which made a huge improvement to my home. The installer arrived on time, and did a fantastic job...he even swept the garage floor, when he was done. If you are in need of new garage doors for your home, please look no further. I called to get my keypad code changed, a new remote or two, and some maintenance. Was told a scheduler would call back. They did, and I was given a two hour window for the technician. The technician did not show during the specified time frame, actually arrived 1/2 hour late, with no call from the company letting me know technician was running late. By the time the technician had arrived, I had already left for my own appointments. Not sure if the technician didn't let the company know he was running late or what happened. If you're going to give a client an arrival window, stick to it or communicate. read more

Neil came to assess our 4-paneled garage door, which we dented. He was very professional and courteous. We got our garage door installed in about 3.5 weeks later. I don't know anything about this company. I've never had them to the house. However, my home has a garage with no other way to get in except through the garage door. There's a keyhole and a cable attached to the inside. The cable runs to the manual release but there's so much slack in the cable that it's clear that turning the key won't do anything to make the cable trigger the manual release. I'd like to ignore this but I didn't want to have to deal with it in case of a power failure or even worse a motor failure. Would I have to have the door dismantled to get in? Since I couldn't find any relevant reviews on Yelp, I searched on Google to find Middlesex Overhead Doors. I called and described the problem. Just told me that the way it works is that after turning the key, I was to pullout the cylinder with the cable attached and pull it myself! Duh! NO service call to "check out the problem"! "We like to be helpful." was the response of the person who answered my call and bailed me out of my predicament. Thank you! Thank you! Don't know about installations, but in terms of helping people out...5 stars! read more

Had 2 Chamberlain belt drive garage door openers installed by them. I called one day to get a price for installation and after shopping around 2 other places theirs was the best so I decided to go with it. I called back the next day, and was told rather rudely that they do not install any garage door openers but the ones they carry, of which there are 2 options, and which despite being a worse package of the same openers I had already (less accessories and remotes included) would be $75 more. After trying for 15 minutes to get me to pay more for the same opener, their rep finally agreed to schedule installation of the opener systems at $180 each, with a year warranty on labor. Installation went smoothly, my wife dealt with it but their installer was in and out in under 2 hours with both garage door openers and associated paraphernalia installed. Fast forward to less than 3 months later, and the belt slips off of the front pulley on one garage door rail. The belt went up on top of the pulley and got chewed up when the door tried to close, and in the process also broke the rim of the pulley so that would need to be replaced as well. The only way that belt would be physically able to slide off of the pulley is if it was not installed correctly in the first place. So I called them to have it come out and fixed, and the same rude rep I spoke to flatly refused to cover it. There's no way I can recommend a company that would not even consider honoring their labor warranty. read more

Called Middlesex and another company for a quote for a single garage door. Sales Rep. Neil was very helpful and was glad to answer any questions I had. He promptly emailed my estimate along with a pictures of my garage and how 3 different door designs would look. I had the other company come by so I could compare estimates. Wasn't necessary. The second salesman was in my driveway for about 5 minutes and really wasn't interested in answering my questions. So I decided to do business with Middlesex. Door was installed on Thursday. Installer ran into an unexpected problem and immediately called the office and rectified the problem. Middlesex sent another worker to help so the installation could be completed in one day. I would recommend Middlesex Door Systems. Gloria P. read more

They are very professional, Neil did an excellent job explaining everything I asked, and helping with selections. The waiting time is a little long but understandable given the COVID situation. New garage door installed. Price and experience with everyone involved - excellent. Didn't know who to look at for this service and happened to be in their neighborhood, so I stopped in. Glad I did. We replaced two doors with 2 full custom (Charles River Series)  wooden "carriage" garage doors, along with all necessary hardware,  track, new springs, and belt drive motors. Result is smooth, quiet, battery backup doors. True experts in doors, starting from home visits by Neil Cronin; state-of-the-art offerings and extremely technical explanations about the various materials; installation was flawless by Mike and was completed within a few hours. There was one glitch during build phase, but they recovered quickly and communicated with full involvement. read more

I was extremely impressed with everyone I worked with at Middlesex Doors. I shopped around for a good month or two because I was specifically looking for black garage doors, which is extremely hard to come by. Thankfully I found these guys and I want to give Neil specifically a shout out. He was so thorough and knowledgeable. He walked me though the entire process and really made sure I understood all the steps. He gave me time to think about it and after coming back with a great price compared to the several other estimates I was given by other companies (that weren't nearly as thorough) it was pretty much a no brainer. The installation went great, we had a bit of a hiccup because my home is older but our installer stayed late and made sure everything looked amazing and I could not be more pleased! We got an on-line quote, which was much less expensive than Home Depot and then followed up with an in-person visit by Neil. The two men who came to do the install were courteous, professional and prompt. They also replaced some garage trim without any extra charge. read more

I recently had a problem with one of my garage doors. The motor died and I could not open the door. I suppose after 25 years I cannot complain. In any case, I went to Yelp and found Middlesex Overhead Doors. There weren't a lot of reviews, but the ones there were all very good. I wanted this fixed quickly as it was an inconvenience. I spoke with Shirley in the office and she gave me a complete rundown of my options. There was no hard sell and she was very knowledgeable about the products. I was also very happy with the price. It was less than I had expected. We agreed on what I was going to get and then I asked her when could the work be done. I was certain with the snow we have been having, it would take awhile. Much to my pleasant surprise, she was able to get the work done the next day. Scott was the person who did the installation. He was right on time and even called me after he left his previous job to let me know he was on his way. He told me it would take a couple of hours (I decided to do both doors since I thought it was only a matter of time before the other motor would go) and that is what it took. Scott was thorough and neat. I had a couple of questions which he answered and he showed me how to program and use the keypad. I was very happy with both the sales process and installation. I would highly recommend Middlesex Overhead Doors. read more
