We had a very disappointing experience with AB Garage Door and would not recommend them. They installed two new garage doors and motors, but the project was extremely poorly managed from the start. The installers did not show up on the first scheduled day and gave us no notice until we had to call Alan ourselves. They finally came several days later, and the install stretched over two days, staying much later than expected both nights (past 8pm) The workmanship was also very poor. They only put one bolt on the bracket that holds the motor arm on the door, and over time that caused the door to warp until the bracket tore off. They came back and "fixed" it by adding more screws, but shortly after that the door bent so badly it shattered a window. Now Alan is not responding to us and is not honoring the warranty in our contract. Overall, this was a frustrating and expensive experience, and I would not trust this company with garage door work. read more

STOP! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Our garage door was stuck and we called this company. The gentleman came out that afternoon and stated that we needed a spring system etc.. He fixed the door and we paid $1534.00. That was fine. The front of the garage door had tape around it that was discolored and falling off. He said he could fix it the next day. He came back the next day. He put three pieces of vinyl around the door which took 20 minutes at the most. I was at work but my partner was home. He charged my partner $560.00 for three pieces of vinyl. I was SHOCKED! I called him and asked him for an itemized receipt (as he never gave us a receipt at all) I have been calling him for three weeks and he won't return my call. I'm in my 70's and that was half of my social security check. I guess screwing the elderly is easier than I thought. I know why he refuses to give me an itemized bill. How can you do that for 3 pieces of vinyl? Just a warning folks. I would look elsewhere!! read more

My garage door, which was about 15 years old, stopped working yesterday. Wouldn't close with the clicker or the key pad. I got an immediate reply from AB Garage Door. I was told a service person was in my area and could be here in 20 minutes. Ben showed up about 15 minutes later. He looked everything over and gave me my options. We talked prices and I decided to get a stronger opener with a 5 year warranty. He had everything he needed to replace it and give me the new clicker. He also oiled the track and told me what to buy and do that periodically. Ben was great. Friendly, informative and easy to work with. I knew it was a simple inspection of some unusual noises and hopefully a simple fix. He inspected the system and made 1 suggestion that seemed overkill at the moment. He assured me it wasn't dangerous, which is what I cared most about. He heled me change my keypad pin number and he was done with no charge.
