This winery is a must stop for wine tasting. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their were 5 in our group and they gave each of us individual attention. We sat out at their picnic table alongside their beautiful vineyards. Everything was well maintained and welcoming. We each had different flights of wines. The also provided snack to go along with them. Periodically they came out to check to see if we had questions or needed anything or to pick up empty glasses or to bring more popcorn. They even came out to take a group picture of us. They have a nice wine and gift selection in their building. It made for a very nice, relaxing time. They were quite busy while we were there but still offered more customer service than most places I've been to unless you sit inside up to the bar area. Those tables beyond us filled pretty quickly.

Middleburgh white, Sweet Lucy, and Blueberry wines are my favorites so far. Such a beautiful view, peaceful, and welcoming staff. Great gifts in the tasting room and a wide variety of wines to choose from. The best part? A warm welcome from Lucy the black lab!

It's a small batch farm winery and OMG they have the wines dialed in! Whites, reds, fruity, cooking, dry, sweet... so much variety and the grapes are actually grown here too - not just bought somewhere else and processed. It amazes me how many options and varieties they continue to offer! There's a whole better experience have a tasting when the maker is the one serving and can tell you EVERYTHING about it. One of my most favorite things about the wines here is that I never get a headache. These wines are not overloaded with sulfites like the bulk wines at distributors and stores. Their prices continue to stay in the 10's to teens range even though it apparently makes it harder to keep things running at a time everyone is tightening their wallets with everything else costing more. When it comes to owner-operated wineries, Hummingbird Hills Winery is a whole new level in quality and enjoyment when expertise meets love and passion in wine making, which is why my wife and I keep making the trip here to re-taste and restock. They've even added an off-grid getaway cabin on their property nestled up on a hilltop in an old apple orchard that they list as The Nests at Hummingbird Hills. It's so quiet there and with so little light pollution the stars during the night are amazing!

Quality: While I didn't fall in love with any particular wine at Hummingbird Hills Winery, the experience gave me a greater appreciation for the creativity and challenges involved in the process. They had a few standard white and red wines, but the menu is filled with lots of fruit wines and specialty wines. Bink's Blackberry Burst was a highlight of the fruit wines, really capturing the blackberry flavor. The speciality wines are even more unique, Goofy Garlic Ginger, Hummingbird Coco Red, and Lion's Tooth Blend, which is a Dandelion Wine. Each one with a cool story and history. Quantity: Wine Tasting came with seven selections, and we ended up trying a few more. Value: $10 for a Wine Tasting. Ambiance: Hummingbird Hills Winery is located in upstate New York, not too far from Albany. They have a large property where they grow their own grapes, and flowers. The tasting room is in a large building. It has bars on both sides with plenty of stools for guests to utilize. Reusable boards and markers allow guests to make their selections so the process moves smoothly. The rest of the tasting room is full of local food items and crafts. Crowd: Several other couples and one family enjoying tastings. Service: Incredible, two passionate and creative individuals running this winery. Parking: The snow forced them to move parking away from their main buildings and near a garage.

The Saratoga Winery - Dessert "nachos"! Delish.

This spot is…read morevery cute and pretty spacious with an outdoor space in addition to a bar and restaurant - if you're looking for a spot for food and with activities (corn hole, connect 4, etc.), this place is a good option! The table was a bit sticky when sitting down, but otherwise it felt pretty clean. The food was decent - I found the appetizers much better than the entrees. Fries and peppers were very solid to share. The dish I got was extremely bland and had no flavor, I had to drench it in hot sauce to get even any sort of taste; if I were eating this place solely based on the food, it'd be a 3, however the additional activities and the drinks raised this to a 4. The drinks were solid, we ended up buying a bottle of their sweet white wine afterwards since we liked it so much. Service was good, food came out pretty quickly. Waters were a bit sparse, but other than that, we felt well taken care of. After eating, we spent an hour or so at one of their outdoor covered spots to play games. I'm unsure if they require a reservation or anything, but we were the only ones out there and no one came out to talk to us so I assume if it's free, you're able to go out. Overall, we enjoyed our time - I probably wouldn't come back, but I think it was a nice spot for brunch when visiting Saratoga for a one-time meal.

I made reservations online a few days ahead and it does get very crowded on weekdays with bridal/baby/birthday parties. We were seated immediately upon arrival. At first the host sat us outdoors on a high top table but it was way too sunny and hot. I asked to be sat indoors and the staff was able to accommodate with available indoor high top seatings. I especially love the Esperance location for its gorgeous views and the option to sit outside by a bonfire. The stunning views are matched by the fun, Nordic-inspired interiors. The decor, seating, and bar all add to the atmosphere, and even the bartenders fit right in! Service is great--they're so sweet and knowledgeable about the meads as well. As for the mead, it's absolutely delicious. I recommend trying a flight to sample the different flavors before picking your favorite for a full glass. I loved them all, but my top pick has to be Loki's Lure--a rich blend of coffee and cacao. Other favorites are the Heritage and Black Currant. The one thing I do wish the meadery offered is snacks. It would be nice to have something to munch on while enjoying the drinks. Beware of the mead though--it's so tasty and goes down so easily, you might find yourself tipsy before you know it!
