I wanted to write this review because I have to let people know how rude they are up there. Don't get me wrong, I have loved their food for years. Let me explain what happened today. About a week ago, my husband and I ordered from there and got our food....no issues. So today, my son ordered a sandwich and one of the managers came to the door with the police! They said the card originally went through but then payment was declined. I was completely confused because the card I used was fine. But if there was an issue, I would have gladly taken care of it, if they had bothered to call us and let us know....but to send the police over a lousy $23.00???? Really??? I was livid. So I called and spoke to the manager and told him that I didn't appreciate having the police at my door over $23.00 and it was totally unnecessary. I then explained that I didn't have a card with the last 4 digits they had on file for payment. So he proceeded to argue with me....he was very arrogant and rude. No apologies or anything. So it turns out that one our old cards did have the four digits they had on file, but if I had chosen it by accident, it should not have authorized, so all they had to do was contact us for a different payment. I was going to call and apologize for sounding not so nice (I did get a bit feisty after his rudeness) but then I decided I wouldn't because he was so rude. Anyway, this is my story. My advice is that if you don't want the police at your door, make sure you use the right credit card. I am kind of sad because we really like the food, it is a shame they hire jerks to manage the place. read more

I wish I could recommend this place cause food isn't that bad, but whoever runs this place really does not care about their customers. Me and my mother ordered 30 dollars worth of food consisting of a 12 inch cheese steak and an 8 inch cheese steak. My sub came out fine, but my mothers sub was made using burger. She did not realize at first because she of the toppings covering the sub. When she started eating and realized it was a burger sub she called to ask for a replacement. You'd think this is a cut and dry situation, just offer a sub to replace the mistake. Instead they refused to offer a replacement for the sub and then proceeded to gaslight my mother by telling her that "that's not how we make our subs" (with the toppings covering the sub). Really? We may not be coming here every weekend and ordering a bunch all the time, but we definitely come here when we want a sub. Not anymore, and all they had to do was correct a mistake that they made. I hope they understand how things like this can upset people, and in the future try owning up to their mistakes instead of treating their customers miserably because they have a complaint. This is our go-to pizza and sub joint. They have a very good selection and the service is quick, the prices decent. The food is generally consistent in the 8.5/10 category. I'm not fawning over it, but like I said, we order here often, in an area with quite a few of these types of establishments, so I'm going to have to say it's better than the others. read more

While their selection is large and prices are reasonable, the service at Middle River Pizzeria leaves something to be desired. Once again, I was greeted with rude service from the 'good boys club' behind the counter, and our order was incorrect. Also, the disparities between their online and in-store menus continue to be a source of frustration when ordering. Despite the convenience of the location and deliciousness of the food, I will no longer be a regular customer. There are some things that I'm just not willing to overlook, and being spoken to with a rude and condescending tone is definitely one of them. read more

Not bad, but in my opinion, there is better pizza in the area. I got a pizza with ham, mushroom and onion. The pizza tasted a little like I used to remember Godfather's Pizza tasting. You can get the wings with our without sauce. I ordered them with. They weren't bad, but again, not the best I've had in the area. Definitely a more inviting atmosphere than other take-out pizza joints. read more

Terrible customer service. Horrible manager, you just lost a long time customer. It was Good Friday, and on the menu a shrimp cheesesteak was listed. We called and spoke with a young employee to confirm what was on the shrimp cheesesteak, he replied only shrimp and cheese. After opening our pickup order at home, the 'shrimp cheesesteak' consisted of baby shrimp chopped up with steak. We were referred to a manager or owner on the phone, asking about returning or looking for a refund. He responded rudely, saying it's in the name.... We responded we were assured by the employee only shrimp and cheese were on it. And asked him, what came on their chicken cheesesteak, knowing it only consists of chicken. He still stayed assertive and rude and because of that, he just lost a long time customer. Terrible management and customer service! read more

I'm not mad but they made a pretty decent cheesesteak- not a philly cheesesteak that I have come to know and love but a very good replacement here in Maryland! I ordered the fish platter- not impressed but it was tasty. Two square fish patties- fried- over a bed of lettuce with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Guess it wasn't what I imagined it to be. The food is consistently decent here. It probably is the best pizza in the area that delivers since "pizza johns" doesn't deliver (not papa johns). Subs are pretty good as well. Its probably more like 3.5 stars but I'll round up since I've never really had anything bad. read more

Worst turkey club and garden salad! Delivery menu says all club sandwiches come with bacon. To me, that means BACON. Not fake soy or turkey bacon, which is what I got. Also the lunch meat used could not have been of worse quality! It honestly looked like rubber. No tomatoes, no onions, just a few shreds of lettuce, a slice of "cheese", and bread. Ripped off! Forgot my fries with the combo. When I called To let them know that they forgot the fries they wanted to charge me to deliver them. I spent $30.30 for two 12" subs and a cup of gravy and gave the driver $5 tip. Never again... Buyer Beware! O' and the gravy taste like bleach is one of the ingredients. read more

Worst customer service EVER!! The food is ok but because their service is absolutely horrible it doesn't matter if the food is decent. My fiance and I have been ordering from Middle River Pizza at least 3 times a week for a year and half. A month and a half ago, I ordered my usual Philly Cheese Steak. Paid over the phone with my credit card. When it was delivered I opened it and it had shrimp in it. I called them to complained and they said well that's what you asked for so that's what you got. Mind you I was home recovering from brain surgery and not to mention I AM ALLERGIC TO SEAFOOD!!! I asked to speak to the manager and he was even more unprofessional, disrespectful and extremely unapologetic and said it was my fault that I ordered the wrong item. Needless to say they lost a very loyal customer over a $12 Philly Cheeseteak. I could not believe they treated me this way. I will not recommend this restaurant. read more

note, most of the reviews below are old!! do not order from this place!! i ordered a delivery order as a first time customer. i called the store back after waiting an hour. the manager said it should be there shortly and that i live like 25 minutes from them, which was bull because my house is only 8 minutes from them. my food arrived 15 minutes later. it looked gross and was cold to the touch. the bread sticks were cold and burnt. i called the manager and he did not care at all. he told me my food was not cold and kept going back and forth. i asked him is that usually how they handle their customers. he told me, "well we usually dont get any complaints, sooo!" i said, and do you usually take well over an hour to arrive to your customers. he said, "yup!" i was livid. i told him that would be my first and last time ordering from that establishment. he said ok and hung up. you have been warned. i strongly suggest never ordering from this place. on top of this, they are disgustingly overpriced. $18 bucks for a large cheese pizza and crappy breadsticks!! order from perrys pizza in middle river. i ordered from them a few days ago and the pizza was amazinggg cheesy and hot, and the food tool 28 min to arrive to me.i will post pics of both places above. read more
