I found that helpful. They also sell a variety of fruit-related products, honey, jams, souvenirs, etc. I found items more affordable here compared to other farms we visited on the fruit loop tour. The checkout lines can be long, but at least they move fast. They had 5 Checkout stations during my visit. They also had $10 apple cider tasting and a food truck selling bbq pulled pork and other meats. They also have a kids play area + a u-pick location. We didn't do the u-pick and got all our fruits at the fruit stands. We got a lot of fruit here and I'd recommend this place if you want to taste all sorts of interesting apple varieties.

Kinda dusty down there. They had a variety of fruit and associated products - jams, ice cream, condiments, smoothies, coffee, empanadas, pickles, cheese, popcorn....etc. so many varieties to choose from. We hauled a little of everything. You also have tasting stations for everything before you buy. I loved the apple cider, pickled jams, the bean and pork empanadas, and the fresh pears and apples. They also have a mini dog park, benches to sit and eat, and a nice view of Mount Adams and hood river area. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are portable toilets outside incase you gotta go. Will definitely come back next time I'm around the area.

This place has tons of them, basically all of their products, all on a table right in front of the store. Before even taking a step inside, I had basically filled myself with jams, butters, and pickles! We ended up only buying an empanada on this trip, although I was sorely tempted at filling my entire pantry with their jams and jellies, not to mention their pies... If only we had a cooler with us... Huckleberry Empanada ($6.50) - Their huckleberry jam is the best of the ones I've tried. Other places in Oregon, on the Fruit Loop and off, have a dried fruit kind of taste or lean musty in flavor. This one has full bodied huckleberry flavor that's quite fresh. It may be due to them using a different variety of huckleberry? Anyways, it's filled inside an expertly baked outer crust that holds the filling in well and adds some buttery crisp, pie crust like texture. I really enjoyed my visit to Packer Orchards & Bakery. Out of the 7 or 8 stops we made on the Fruit Loop, this, along with their farm location, ended up being my favorite by far.

Haha. cherrie and berrie picking and eating are one of summers delights! Montavons Berries is further up north in the Fruit Loop, #19, and in the same area as Grateful Vineyards and Mt. View Orchards. Plan a stop at all three and it's a worthy destination. Pick fruit at Montavons and Mt. view Orchards then have a pizza and hard cider, beer or wine on a picnic table at Grateful Vineyards. Mt. hood stands proud as the backdrop at all three places. The first crop to arrive are the cherries and they have several varieties. Bing are the most common and I love them so I always buy several pounds. Have to also get the golden and sweet Ranier cherries, too. And if they have the Sandra Rose, you must try! They have a darker glossier skin, red black in color, and are the sweetest of them all! As the season continues they have several types of blueberries and Willamette raspberries. Both delicious and easy to pick. The fields are layed out on flat land with plenty of space between rows. It is very sunny so wear a sun hat or cap and definitely put on that sunscreen. you will thank me. This is one of the smaller family run farms which is always my preference. Everyone is so nice and helpful. As soon as June comes around, I visit their website daily to see when the first of the cherries are ready to pick! And I pick and eat my fill! Til next year...

I was lucky to find parking behind the main building. There is extra parking back there. Lots of items on display and on sale... they also have goats, chickens, pumpkins, u-pick and a nice hangout garden area with nice views of the area. I liked their cider varieties. I tried the sparkling Apple cider and it was refreshing. Also the bourbon pickled pickles were delicious. Got some fruit loop candles too. I thought some of the prices were high compared to neighboring farms. The ciders and candles are examples. Also felt the employees were a lil overwhelmed and not as friendly or engaging as the other farms I visited on my fruit loop tour. They also have ample parking behind and on the sides of the main building. They didn't have plenty of food options and the wait for what they had was an hour! We opted for a flight of apple cider which was great! My fav were the white peach, honey lavender and P.O.G. We had plenty of fruit from the other orchards and opted not to do the u-pick here. Their prices seemed reasonable. They also had bathrooms - not the portable ones like other orchards in the loop. We didn't get to tour the Gorge White House but got some nice pics. It's a beautiful building and adds character to the orchard. Loved the benches, well manicured lawn, and just the chill vibe. The sunset colors, the mountains, blooming flowers, trees, etc, made this place stand out. Wish we had more time here. Maybe next time!

I love that they support the local supply chain and make it convenient for locals and visitors to purchase all of these items at one place. They even have a fresh juice bar, kombucha on tap, coffee and tea, and some lunch items like vegan soup and pizza. Don't miss the fresh loves of bread and baguettes from White Salmon Bakery in the counter. Wish they carried some of their pastries! Located right off exit 65 on I-84 (highway 35), it's an easy stop for those living in Hood River, Mosier or White Salmon. Plus visitors who are out exploring trails, the fruit loop and vineyards. Treebird is in the same parking lot as Tum-A-Lum Lumber and they have seats outside if you want to get lunch and eat there.

Blackberries, peaches, blueberries, apples, corn, various greens, melons, green beans, strawberries to name a few. Plus all your produce staples like onions, potatoes, various salad greens, broccoli, spinach, shallots, lemons, limes, green onions, sweet peppers, hot peppers and more. Many of their their products are jarred for sale. They have several types of jams from local farms. Get the red-sour cherry and the marionberry! Oh, and the fig jam, so good with prosciutto on pizza or a crostini. They have lots of Dickey's pickled veggies, too: beans, garlic, asparagus, carrots, giardena. And so many salsas with various fruit. Don't forget to pick up a jar of local. honey - they have all sizes and the prices can't be beat. Very nice selection of local wines, too! Some of their other customers told me to buy a frozen fruit pie, raving about how they taste homemade. I was tempted, but I wasn't heading straight home so I'll make a special trip for that when I'm entertaining or invited to dinner. They were out of fresh eggs, but I'm glad to know they carry them for when my egg dealer is out. Yes, that's what I call her! LOL. Once you start cooking with fresh eggs, there is no going back.
