Incredible shop! Truly, I don't think I will find the appropriate words to describe this boutique /…read morefloral shop but I'll give it my best try. On one side is a boutique where the owner has curated a collection of clothes and gifts, many with a quaint cottage vibe. There are dish towels adorned with flowers, succulents, holiday scenes. Cozy throw blankets to add texture and color to a room and keep you warm on a chilly night. An entire area dedicated to Pre de Provence lotions, lip balm, soap, body butter with coordinating mugs designed with wildflowers and bees giving off a warm spring vibe. There is also a collection from Thymes with all things lavender - bubble bath, hand lotion, soap body ash, hand creme, home fragrance and more. For foodies there is a large variety of teas and coffees. Portland proprietors are well represented with Moonstruck Chocolates, Jacobsen's Salt, Pepperhead Jellies and more, including cookbooks from OR chefs. Pots and pans hang from above. There are cutting boards and serving pieces, bowls, utensils and platters. In the back area there is a collection of beautiful papers which you could use in craft projects or to wrap a present that would be as gorgeous as the gift inside. The detail and patterns on the papers are reminiscent of antique wallpaper. Just stunning. While the clothing section is small, every items is chosen with thought. Lovely crocheted sweaters and dusters; denim in the new wide leg style; summer dresses, skirts, and tops in subtle colors and unique patterns. Denim jackets embroidered with daisies, so cute! Scarves, cross body bags, and handbags too. Plus jewelry from local artisans means you can create the perfect outfit or purchase a special gift. On the upper level is an entire florist shop. The flowers they have are so unique. The ruffled edge tulips and the papery poppies in bright orange and yellow are gorgeous on their own or part of a bouquet. Ranunculus, roses, peonies, snap peas - all the old fashioned flowers of your dreams! Plus lots of succulents and houseplants, greeting cards and garden decor. I could live here! So much to see and take in. Whenever I am heading to Hood River and decide to drive the Washington side, I stop in this store even though I need absolutely nothing. But always find something I must have! It's a great place to bring friends who are visiting or to buy a hostess gift or any occasion present. i can't wait to visit every season as their items rotate so you can buy seasonal decode for your home. At Christmas time the store is at its best, dressed up in holiday glory and brimming with gifts!

KAREN ALERT! After reading the previously shared reviews, I could have absolutely shared the same…read moresentiments about this place, until today. This place WAS my FAVORITE place, which is why, I was SO EXCITED to make the drive from Portland to Stevenson, so that I could shop here, and, Out on a Limb. Once entering Bloomsbury, I was SO EXCITED to see reading glasses! I tried on a few pairs, however, I ultimately decided to pass. I shopped some more, and, finally left without making a purchase. I continued on to my OTHER favorite place, Out on a Limb, where Karen appeared, OUT OF NOWHERE! She had literally chased me down, and, once she found me!, she pointed to my glasses, and demanded, that, I pay for them! She accused me of stealing glasses from the other store! She demanded, TWICE, that I pay for the glasses that WERE MINE! A~hole doesn't even know the merchandise she sells, because, if she did, she would have known right away that, I was, in fact, NOT wearing the glasses that were in their inventory. Once she realized her mistake, instead of apologizing, she said, that, because she did not see me put the glasses back, she assumed that I walked out the door with them. This exchange occurred in front of either the business owner of Bloomsbury, or, a co~worker, and I was stunned, that, she did nothing. Accusing people of something that they didn't do is one of the 10,000 things that annoy the shit out of me, and, the lack of accountability for this bullshit accusation has changed my mind about both of these places. The keystone cop antics of this Karen were too much for me~she looked ridiculous with her beet red face as she tried to gaslight me into believing that I owed her money for glasses that were mine. What a dick. FUN FACT: all of the items in these stores can be found elsewhere. I even chose to drive out there so that I could support these businesses, however, it would have been easier to go on Amazon. And yes, you can purchase things with mushrooms on them on Amazon. I don't like Amazon, however, shopping with Amazon cuts out all interactions with imbeciles, so good~bye, Bloomsbury, and, hello AMAZON. I would suggest that Bloomsbury call a staff meeting stat so that you can discuss how to treat customers, because, today's performance was a shit show.
