Packer is a wonderful family-owned farm where you can get delicious jams, preserves, salsas, pickled veggies, pickles, baked goods, fresh produce, ice cream, etc. Located in the country side of beautiful Hood River town between Columbia River and Mt. Hood, Packer farms and bakery shop is a great stop on the way to Mt. Hood National Forest area or to Hood River from Mt. Hood N F. I was like a kid in a candy shop looking at the different food items and salivating. There were so many delicious food items that I would have liked to buy. I sampled many jams/ preserves and salsas. From sweet to tart to spicy, there was a good spread. They were so good. I had a Huckleberry milkshake made with Huckleberry preserve and a Marionberry Cinnamon Roll. Yes, it's a touristy place but it is also a locally owned business located in a beautiful area that warrants a stop for a foodie adventure.

Cute little bakery that is infamous for their apple cider donuts, i did expect them to be made fresh admittedly but they were tasty and affordable! The lady was very helpful too and easily answered any questions we had.

Amazing tasting table! Beautiful presentation and delicious jams, honey and pickles. Got cinnamon rolls and fresh empanadas. Will be very happy to eat our goodies at home!

So much fun. So much to see. There is a wooden swing by the peach trees. You can do a upick. But you need to bring a steps too with you. I couldn't reach the peaches. One flat of peaches are $15. Upick are the same price. The back bakery area had so much baked goods. They even sell ice cream too. Jams, marinades and sauces. Various kinds. From strawberry to peach to cherry flavored items. They had a sample tables in the front for you to try out each of their marinades and jams. Pickled beets to mango salsa. So much fun that you can spend half the day up there just to pondered what you want to bring back home.

This is another one of those places you can get in trouble in. There is seriously so much it's hard to decide. There's plenty of parking and it's quite sprawling. There is so much to see and do here, definitely great for kids. We really want to bring our young niece here to check it out sometime. There are lots of activities but I noticed other things to make your visit even better. They do sell feed if you want to check out the farm animals but they also have bags of bright colored rocks you could totally bury in their excavation area. That's not something you see every day. They put out an enormous amount of items to sample. It could take you a while if you enjoy lots of different flavors in general. It's nice to be able to do that though so we knew which items we wanted to buy. You can also buy a selection of treats and beverages while you're here. Then there's the bakery with flavorful empanadas and giant soft cookies. Good luck NOT spending money here. This is an absolute must stop if you're out this way at all.

One of the best if not the best u-pick cherry farms on the fruit loop of Hood River! The orchard of cherry trees were filled with sweet ripe cherries. Only $6 per basket (approx 2lbs). Along with cherries the bakery offered scrumptious baked goods, jams, ice cream and cute mugs, aprons and other gifts. A wonderful experience up near the hills above Hood River. A must stop especially in summer!

Still one of our favorite stops on the fruit loop at Hood River. We love grabbing some fresh baked goods, a seasonal shake and fruit or veggies.

Cute little stand! Inside was very cute and they had a little kitchen where you can see them make their bakery items which I loved! They were very kind and helped us with our questions. I got the jalapeño and cream cheese croissant! Perfect amount of both in it!

Love this stop along the Hood River Fruit Loop! There is plenty of parking and they have quite a few picnic tables with umbrellas to sit and enjoy your purchased goodies. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have an awesome variety of goodies. They have the usual farm stand finds...fresh fruit and veggies, homemade James and jarred honey, etc. But they also have a variety of pre-packaged refrigerated items like garlic cheese curds and pickled veggies. They also have canned salsa, sauerkraut, BBQ sauce, stuffed olives, pie filling, pickles and relish. They offer a variety of baked goods as well...cinnamon rolls, cookies, breads, empanadas, pies to name a few. Everything is reasonably priced as well. There's ice-cream available at the counter in the middle of the store too! So many options I was in heaven here! Overall and awesome experience! We'll definitely be back!

Such a fun spot on the Hood River Fruit Loop. Beautiful views on the orchard and mountain. Lots of baked goods, jams, pickles. They serve ice cream and sell various fruits and berries.

The pies are amazing at Packer Orchards. They had them packaged in the bakery area and they were still warm to the touch. Once I realized that they were fresh made I had to grab a Marionberry. The crust was flaky and buttery tasting. It was delicious with the lightly sweetened fruit. I also purchased a couple of cowboy cookies and Marionberry jam as gifts. The staff was very friendly and the store was stocked full of seasonal gift items.

Ordered four jars of huckleberry pie filling. Loosely packed, three were intact and one broken. Contacted the company, but no response.

Delightful little farm store. We bought some jams for breakfast and cookies for the road. Highly recommend for the sweet tooth.

What a delightful stop along the fruit loop in Hood River. Just down from Packers Orchards (see my…read morereview) and on the way to Odell is this gem is just off to the left if your heading toward Odell - can't miss the big red barn. We stopped in and immediately were greeted by a friendly teenager who offered us slices from their freshly picked peaches. Sublime. There were a lot of peaches and cherries to choose as well as soap, homemade crafts, used books (all sales are donated to the local animal shelter - bonus!), honey sticks, honey in the bear, clothes and lots of other treasures. One of the owners, Lisa, was there and we engaged in a lively conversation. It was a great time. And I gladly spent at Cody Orchards because I believe supporting local businesses is what makes Oregon great. Sure, you can go to Fred Meyer and buy a peach but you have no idea if it came from Mexico, California or Ecuador. Buy directly from a local orchard or farm and you KNOW it's locally grown. No brainer. Visit them this summer and enjoy knowing your dollars feed local economy while you feed your body healthy and sustainable fruit. You'll be glad you did.

It's awesome to go during the pear festival in September and get to taste some of their fresh ciders and do a "pie walk." I also really enjoy their cherries - the atticus are my favorite.
