Midcom sent a technician to try to repair our tag printer. First thing he did was run our credit card. After several hours, he was still unable to fix the printer. He installed a platen roller that was not even necessary since the machine was irreparable. Now Midcom is insisting on charging us $323.95 for zero service plus a part we never needed and couldn't use. When we tried to reach a compromise - I felt I had to give them something just to get them to go away - they simply halted discussions and went ahead and charged my credit card with an amount that suited them. Will never use this company again. read more
Overly expensive for parts (100% markup) and technicians that milk the clock. Repeat service calls for the same issue is a common practice, since they subcontract technicians and there is no accountability. Other choices for printer repair, so choose wisely. read more
Our company wanted our plotter to have maintenance just clean and check. There was nothing wrong with the plotter. I understood when I called the service would be 175.00. I thought this was reasonable for trip charge extra and to clean. The bill we received was 437.50. I called and Midcom Data Technologies told me it was per hour 175.00 the extra was a trip charge. Beware PER HOUR when you sign their agreement. Cost me 437.50 to wipe down a plotter for over (2) hours read more
