How do you make months of stress disappear in 60 minutes?…read more Go to Touch Method Massage and Body Works and have Thaddeus do his magic! I had been long overdue for a massage (Pre Covid for sure) and had been looking for months for a place with great reviews. I actually found TMM via a Groupon, but I looked at Yelp and Google reviews before I purchased. I did like that I was able to schedule the appointment as soon as I purchased the Groupon, but I guess the offer was so popular that the Groupon scheduler couldn't keep up with the demand. Thankfully, Thaddeus personally called to inform me of the error and the appointment availability. Since I kind of had an ideal time for the appointment, I changed to a different Saturday. I received confirmation of my appointment as well as reminders as the appointment date came closer. Despite receiving a very detailed email about the location, procedures, and protocols in place at TMM, I still ended up arriving 2 minutes after my appointment time because I passed up the address (it does sneak up on you). From TC Jester, you can't really see anything that looks like a building until you pass it up (I am also directionally challenged, so arriving 2 minutes late is pretty good for me)! Honestly, I have always had female therapist (not by preference, just happened that way). I have no objection to a male therapist--it's just new people that I have to adjust to. I respected that Thaddeus discussed with me my preferences for the massage and things I didn't desire. He even emphasized that if anything didn't feel comfortable to inform him. I really appreciated that since it had been so long since I had a massage. I felt no qualms about the massage and rightly so because I felt all tension and stress leave my body after this session. From the warm temperature of table (which Thaddeus checked with me to make sure it was good before he started the session), to the warm oil that meticulously and intentionally eased all the muscles and stress with each stroke of the massage, I was in heaven. I asked for the Swedish versus the deep tissue, so my entire body received the benefits of all that was before mentioned. The music was very calming but not too soft and tranquil that you fall asleep. The icing on the cake--walking out your session with Thaddeus waiting up front to meet you holding a champagne flute of H20 to remind you that water is essential after your massage session. I'm sure I had the biggest smile on my face because gosh--this was a phenomenal massage--one of THE BEST I've ever had. I asked about future bookings and everything is found on the website at https://www.massagebook.com/Houston~Massage~touch#services. Not only will you find monthly packages and packs to suit your frequency and schedule, thanks for showing some love to the essential workers (like first responders and teachers, whoop, whoop) and giving them a discount (call for more details on that pricing)! Although it was a 40 minute drive to get here, it was well worth it! Instead of giving your money to the Massage Envys and Heights that don't know your name, why not support small businesses like TMM and receive a quality massage? One visit, and you will be back-just don't take my appointment time!

I will be hiring this company again, and him, in particular, in the future.

Kevin H. I've been here twice now. I am from out of town and…read morewas looking for a massage for my stabbing back pain. I called Houston Healing Massage and was able to get an appointment with Maria that same afternoon. The room was clean and neat. Maria did an outstanding job of working much of her time on my problem back, but also on other problem areas. I had not warned her about these other problem areas like my neck, hip and shoulders, but she found them on her own and addressed them. My first visit was very good and my stabbing back no longer stabbing. I thought I'd go back for a second visit before I left town, and Maria said she had a slot open, so I went and now I'm hoping the loss of pain will hold off until I get back home, where I can see my regular massage therapist. I read some other reviews and there were complaints of the door being locked. I noticed that the ladies (Therapists) did not have a receptionist the times I visited and they lock the door because there is no one there to handle walk-ins. I am assuming the locking of the shop is for safety reasons when there is no receptionist on duty. I will return here the next time I'm in Houston. The place is clean, the prices more than reasonable ($75/hour, and Maria worked on me for 63 minutes, not the usual 45 at my place at home), and the people friendly and most important capable.

This is more Thai style massage so prepare for some feet. My masseuse was attentive and focused on my requests rather than going through the motions. There's more parking around the corner / behind the Hu's cooking.

I needed the stretching & techniques of a traditional Thai massage. I'm happy to say, that's what I got. :) The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The place has a calm zen vibe, the massage rooms are nicely appointed and clean. I actually exhaled heavily when I walked into the room saying "Oh yes!!!", I knew from what I saw, it was going to be a great massage. There are Ashiatsu bars on the ceiling, dim lights, a very comfy looking bed, a robe, etc. My masseuse communicated with me about pressure or if I had a question or comment. Nothing was out of my comfort level. Others mentioned how cold it is there; it was a little chilly at first, but I totally didn't notice any chill after we got started. Another comment was hearing talking through the walls; I didn't experience that either. I went around 4:00 on a week day. I definitely will return. It was a good, much needed massage. Most importantly, I was pain free & relaxed when I left my 90 minute session.

Ok, so my tip makes this sound horrible, sorry!! I understand we're in Houston, it's getting hot…read moreand humid, just try and keep those things out. Otherwise, the massage was incredible! By incredible I mean excruciating...but that's because I went for some serious and chronice hip and back problems I've had for years and only go in for massages when they get too terrible. Fernando seems uber skilled and really well educated in many types of massage. He used a combo of almost Thai like stretches, trigger point (painful), super deep tissue and sports massage. I had to ask him to back off a little bit at times because it hurt too much but honestly I know I need much more. He then found little pebble feeling knots in my neck that I didn't know were there. I know I'm stressed but geez. He was also really thourough, hitting every muscle group a couple of times, and really working into the tough spots. It's also the first time I've had my abdomen massaged. A little weird but I guess my abs are sore from pilates this weekend? After the massage I got a choice of cold or room temp water. Oh and during the massage I'd had my choice of oil or lotion, that was cool. He also explained to me the names of the muscles and problems I was having with them, as well as informing me that he actually went quite easy towards the second half of the massage because otherwise the pain can be traumatic for the person getting body work done. I totally agree I need to work out these injuries slowly! Even though I usually only get massages when there's a deal, I think Fernando would be worth going back to deal or no deal considering he was able to figure out my issues and what I needed as well as the continuing therapy I would need.
