Went in for an oil change, because we had a coupon. When ask what type of oil I needed I told them conventional. When I returned, I presented the coupon for a conventional oil change and was told that I couldn't us it as they also topped off the fluids and that not part of the coupon...long story short I'm still waiting for the regional manager to return my phone call (i've called him (personal cell, i think) several times. read more

Brought my Montero to have a Check Engine light fixed. A faulty O2 sensor was detected. Techs replaced the O2 sensor and did a fuel system clean-up. Also removed a screw that punctured my front tire. Took my car home and then low and behold, Check Engine light came back on. Really frustrated... took it back the next day. Ken did everything they could to fix but was humble enough to admit defeat. They replaced the old part back and did not charge me a dime for the other services done previously. That's good business practice and good customer service in my books. read more

I had been having trouble with my car and I have a warranty! I was told that this Midas was the best especially when dealing with a warranty! I brought it in and with in a day they had everything fixed and I got a great deal in all four of my tires! I couldn't be happier with this place if I wanted to! Worst customer service they re liars they put discount coupons online to bring people when you go there they don't apply it the manager there said oh sorry but it's not our website I was like I used your website and I made the appointment through your website and I got the coupon which was 18.99$ oil change he told me that the owner doesn't allow that well if your owner don't allow the coupon then why you have it on your website ? Popped in today since the Prius was sounding like a grizzly bear that hadn't eat for months. Ken says "No problem. Could be a gasket or muffler issue, but we will throw it on the rack and check it out." We left the car and went shopping. Half an hour later a call from ken explaining the problem with a fair price. Terrible. I think they got new management because I used to really like the service, but the guy at the front desk just seems very untrustworthy. Turns out, he is. He wanted to charge $750 for a new radiator and thermostat. I took my car somewhere else and they charged $320 for the same service and threw in two new wheel bearings. I have been looking for a new place to take my vehicle and I have found it. I brought my car into Midas for an oil change and was very pleased with the service I received. They fully inspected my vehicle and I was brought into the shop by Ken and shown what his technician found wrong with my vehicle. They made me aware that it was overdue for my struts to be changed and I had no problem getting the work done with the reasonable price I was given, they also gave me a ride to work not many shops will do that. I could tell right away that Ken handles himself in a very professional manner by the way he speaks to customers and carries himself. I will definitely be back for sure. read more

Pretty terrible. My husband took his truck in to get an oil change, and also asked to have the head light changed out. Without even letting him know, they charged $55.00 just for the headlight alone. It apparently cost $35 just for the labor. When asked about the price, the guy wasn't helpful or courteous. It's a shame because he's been a loyal customer, but we will take our business elsewhere. Came outside this morning and noticed I had a flat tire, as well as three other bald/old tires. I live very close to this Midas location and I tried to limp my vehicle over, however about half way there my tire started to make some strange noises and I decided I needed to stop. I called Midas to see if they could maybe tow me over, since I was within a mile of the location, and their response was to instead send out one of their techs, Jason, with an air compressor to get me on my way to the shop and saving me a ton of money and wait time on an expensive tow for under a mile. Immediate service and so much lower in price than I was bracing myself to pay. Truly great caring service. read more

I have been taking my cars and trucks to Ken Falco and his staff at the Midas in Winter Park for over five years and every experience I've ever had has been fantastic! I would like to give a few examples of why I say this. The first time I randomly stopped in was over five years ago and I didn't know Ken or anyone who worked there and I didn't have an appointment. I walked in and there was a very nice gentleman behind the counter who greeted me kindly and asked how he could help me. I told him that I had been having some muffler problems and was just wondering if someone could take a look. They were very busy and all of the bays were full, but the gentleman said, sure, just let me get one of my guys to pull a car we just finished out of the bay and you can pull yours in. This happened immediately and I pulled my car in. The gentleman came out of the office, raised the car so he could see underneath and told me what the problem with my muffler was. He said he could repair it right then and there if I had a few minutes and I said sure. I watched him work on my muffler for about 10 to 15 minutes and what he was doing wasn't easy by any means. He lowered my car and told me I was ready to go. I asked him how much I owed and he said you don't owe me anything if you could just please tell your family and friends to come see me if they ever need any service to their automobiles. He handed me his card and as I looked at it I realized he was The Manager, Ken Falco. Needless to say I have recommended all of my family and friends to Ken and his Midas staff and they have all thanked me greatly after their experiences with Ken, which have all been fantastic. For example, Ken and his staff saved a family member of mine thousands of dollars for some AC work he did for them compared to what the dealership was going to charge my family member for the same job. Also, Ken stands by his work and if it's not right, he makes it right. I could go on and on with many stories of how Ken has helped me, my friends and my family over the years, but will end this review with just one more example. I was on my way to NSB with my two young daughters and my car was making some noise so I stopped by Midas on the way to see if Ken or his staff could look at it. Well, Ken did look at it, and he asked me if he could fix it on the spot to make sure the car was safe for my daughters to go to New Smyrna in. After he repaired everything, making sure we were all safe, he charged me next to nothing. The last thing I would like to mention is that every time I have been to The Winter Park Midas, they have always been quite busy, and I've never seen Ken or any of his staff treat their customers with anything but the utmost respect, courtesy and professionalism. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, take your vehicle for ANY kind of service at the Midas in Winter Park (Fairbanks location). The Manager: Ken Falcon is the rudest person I have ever met. Long story short: I had an appointment there today for a routine oil change at 2:00P. I arrived at 2:05 due to traffic&weather. He first says "Your appointment was at 2:00, so you just arrive whenever you feel like it for things?" I apologized and said it was due to weather&traffic. He then says "Then leave your home earlier." I was somewhat taken aback but decided to move on. He then looked up my info. He stated "I see you always get your oil changes here, where do you get other maintenance done?" Me: "I am just here for an oil change, no other maintenance." I then said I had a coupon and would he like to see it now or when I pay. He said now. He then says that he will not take the coupon that states it is for that location that I got from their website, as this is a franchise and he has the right to refuse it, very rudely. He then says "In looking at your info in the system it seems all you do is come here for cheap oil changes and nothing else." I was VERY uncomfortable with this. I said "Sir, you are making me feel very uncomfortable and I really do not want to be upsold. I am just here for an oil change. Please do not speak to me the way that you are." Ken (the manager) then yells at me, "I WILL SPEAK TO YOU HOWEVER I WANT - THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY!!" Three other customers have trickled in at this point. I was shocked. i told him that I would take my business elsewhere. A gentleman behind me then said to Ken "Please do not talk to her like that." Ken once again says to the gentleman "I will speak to whoever I want, however I want." Now that gentleman says to Ken that he is ALSO leaving and will get his car tuned somewhere else. Myself, that gentleman, and two others all left. As I walked I said to Ken, "You just lost 4 customers because of your poor customer service." He responded with "I don't care and I don't need their business." I told him I would be contacting Midas Corporate, his franchise owner, posting on Yelp, Social Media, and the Better Business Bureau about this awful experience. Ken leans in and yells, "IS THIS THE PART WHERE YOU CURSE AT ME, I DARE YOU TO DO IT SWEETHEART." I am horrified by this man and his disgusting behavior. I have have taken my car to that location for YEARS and I have spent a lot of money there. This man represents Midas, franchise or not. Please do NOT go there. I have already been in contact with their corporate office. I took my car to Valvoline in Casselberry and I had a wonderful experience. read more
