So I went to drop off my bmw today and i spoke to Marco. He was very compassionate and honest. I havent had customer service like this in a very long time. He got me back on the road in less then a hour. This place is really convenient because its located right next to the 126 & 101. If u guys want a great mechanic shop i suggest you come here first! read more

Bad customer service I went to ask for a price on installing a air intake when I got their they where rude second they try to charge me 150 dollars for installing it hahaha check your self just don't go here period read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I so wish Yelp would let you do 0 start reviews because this is how bad of an experience it was. The manager, yes, the manager refused to do an oil change because he " did not have anyone available to do it." Additionally, he stated that, "it is not worth it for them to do oil changes with a coupon since that does not generate money for them." I'm still in shock and awe about the answer I got. I just cannot believe it. The manager name is Marco. I called Midas's customer service relations only to be transferred to the store manager, long and behold who is it? Marco again. I was not able to get any words back and he just repeatably said, "i'll call you back, i'll call you back. " Marco straight up hung up and did not give a damn about his customers. Please avoid this location at all cost. They will waste your time and it's just not worth it. read more

Ask for Marcos; he was a phenomenal help! He was able to get me out the door with my tires changed/mounted, my oil changed, and my car realigned within an hour for $300. Never have I been so satisfied with a purchase for my car! read more

How can they charge the price of the original when it's not the original parts? Probably got it from the eBay or replica sellers for way cheaper. When we talked to the sales person, he said he will give money back but the Owner answer the phone and said " I don't want to have this conversation " ‍‍ wtf? Who do we need to talk to then? Well we need to call the corporation read more

I've been a customer at the Ventura Midas since 2014. Marco got me in at a time I needed. He explained everything that needed to be done and why and was not pushy about getting it done. Service was nice and quick. I appreciate it! read more

These guys gave me some of the best customer service I've ever had. Straight forward and not pushy at all. A particular thanks to Steve and Mitch! read more

I went here for tires and new tpms system and i realized the light kept coming on after about a 20 minute drive and i kept taking it back and the man kept telling me it was my tire pressure but there's no leak or anything but since i was skeptical, i took the car to another mechanic where he told me the tpms system theyre applying is not properly synced with the computer which means it keeps losing connection and triggering the light which is why the light won't turn off until I bring it into their shop. it's annoying that he kept telling me i was crazy and it was the tires when deep down i knew it was the tpms and the manager kept trying to make me feel bad about it and anytime ive called to tell him the fault in his sensors, he ignores them. i've been trying to reach them for three days straight and they won't answer or return my cars. If i don't get back to in a week i will be taking the issues to BAR since i had paid 800 dollars in total at this location for things to be done RIGHT. read more

So after my original review this place screwed me and my husband over multiple times. I was going there for years for my oil change, that was fine. Then after my review they gave me a free oil change, cool. Well, then my husband had his car maintenances done, which was a lot. He spent over two grand on a 2000 Jeep, which if we had known the price before we obviously wouldn't have done it, because it isn't even worth that. But we didn't find out until we went to pick it up. It was done though, and we thought we would have a great working car again. Nope! Check engine light was still on and it drove the exact same. We brought back within a day or two, and they wanted to charge us AGAIN to check what was wrong!! We did not take it back. Well then my car was due for an oil change, just a basic one, brought it in with my coupon of $10 off. They had told me the previous time my shocks needed to be done, I had thought About doing them if they were brought up again. They didn't, said all of a sudden they were fine, but I needed new tires and brakes. Always something else when you go there. I said no, I just wanted my oil change. When I went to pick it up the guy tells me that will be $50. I was like "What?? It's normally $30-35?!" He tells me they put synthetic in, and that they don't offer regular anymore! Really! Would have been nice to know! Won't be going back. read more

These guys were super quick. I had a hard time believing they finished under an hour. Daniel mancilla was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back for any future car problems. The other guys were also polite and friendly. And they really know there stuff. I wouldnt recommend any other place. Thanks guys. read more

I need to preface this by saying that I have been coming to this shop for over 5 years. I have literally spent thousands of dollars with them and always refer my friends to them. That will no longer be happening. Long story short they replaced two air filters on my car without my permission (never even mentioned them) and charged me $70 for each air filter. $140 might not seem like a lot of money but right now in this economy it absolutely is. I immediately called them to ask why they did this without my permission and they justified it by saying that they gave me a deal on the other work I had done. Not okay. Then I pulled up all my receipts from the past (to price check the air filters) and told them that by looking at the prices I've previously paid, the air filters should have only cost $29.99. I told them this and they said they didn't know why I was charged so much. He said he would look into it and get back to me. It's been over a week with no phone call. So sad and disappointed. Looks like I'm finding a new mechanic. read more

Midas - Auto Repair Near Me - Ventura, California

Watch out people, this establishment will mislead you into spending money on repairs that you don't need. My elderly father went in for a simple installation of a filter that was easily accessible and they charged him triple what other places would have. DON'T DO IT. I recommend Neighborhood Car Care, they are honest and reputable. read more

They are friendly and knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. However, I find them to be rather slow. It's good if you don't have any place to be that requires a car, but if you drive a lot or long distance they are too slow. read more

Five star service, good prices, and they even gave us a ride to and from the Ventura Street Fair with a smile. A+ all around.

The employees are very friendly and very knowledgeable. They got straight to work on my truck. They explained everything to me so I can understand it. They had me in and out of there quick. I will definitely come back! Very happy read more

Marcos went above and beyond for me today. I've had a really bad couple of days and I happened to get a flat tire right in front of their shop! I was already trying to keep it together and trying not to let my emotions get the best of me. I am a mother to a toddler and I work full time, and go to college full time. Right now at this moment I could not afford new tires. Without getting into detail Marcos and his team jumped into action and gave me 2 FREE new used tires!!! Took every part of me not to cry as I was so absolutely grateful! I definitely recommend this company. They care and are not money hungry and show compassion. They truly care about their customers. I will be coming back to get all 4 new tires soon. I won't go anywhere else. I wish I would've gotten the name of the young man at the front desk, he went right away to talk to Marcos and made this happen. Again, I 100% recommend this company. THANK YOU!!! read more

Took our car to put the serpentine belt on because it kept coming off, they said they fixed it. Came off a couple days later & took it back, they put it back on. Ended up having to do this 3 more times because it kept coming off & every time was a different reason why. The last time I took it back once I got home my car started smoking like crazy & ended up dying in my carport. Called midas & was told they did not do anything & was told I was just trying to get service for free. I ended up towing my car to pepboys & was told the belt wasn't on put on right, that they rigged it, & it was WAY too tight. Ended up having to call the beaura of automotives because midas said they would not fix it, saying it wasn't their fault. Was told by the beaura that midas said they would fix it if it was their fault, showed them paperwork from pepboys & we took it back to midas. Was told it was COMPLETELY FIXED & CAME OFF A FEW DAYS LATER AGAIN!! read more

Went to get my car oil changed today and asked for them to check my A/C. I was helped by the owner Marcos he owns the one in Ventura. I felt I was mislead by him, I feel like he takes advantage of women. He wanted to charge me almost $400.00 to fix my A/C. He charged me $60.00 for a diagnostic check and when I asked him for the read out he said there is no such thing. (Guys you'll know if this is true) I said what am I supposed to show another mechanic to prove there was a diagnostic done he said my receipt was good. I feel Marcos charged me for a diagnostic he never performed and wanted to charge me an extremely high amount to fix my A/C. He said that I needed to change out my hi and low censor and get new Freon. You decide if what he said was fair, with no proof. Take my advice stay away from this place. I paid because I feel people like this aren't worth the stress, but I will be checking on reviews from now on. P.s nowhere on the receipt does it say anything was diagnosed it just says customer said A/C was not working well. I guess I was the sucker so that you don't have to be. July 1st 2020 read more

I have been a loyal customer of Midas for 10 years now. I always receive fast honest care for both of my cars. Kelly & Marco take care of my cars needs and always make sure I'm comfortable while waiting. I strongly suggest an appt because they fill up fast but Ive never had a problem making appts. I would never take my cars to another place. You will not be disappointed here. Fair honest pricing and great customer service!!!!! Thanks Midas for great service!!!!!! read more

Went in today to get a tire fixed (nail in tire, slow leak) I was greeted immediately by two staff members behind the counter. They went to the car right away and verified the issue. They did not charge me anything for doing it and were very friendly and clear about what they did. The waiting room/register area was extremely clean and well kept as well as what I could see inside the garage. I know it's a car garage but it makes me feel good knowing it's a clean, well organized shop. At the end of the day, it's got a great staff who are organized, assertive, and friendly. I will definitely come back in the future from customer service alone! Thanks again guys! read more

I came in here to get an oil change done, Marcos and his crew took a deeper look and found some troubling wear on the tires and serpentine belt. I know just enough to be dangerous, but I know what's good and bad and these guys did right. They took the time to show me what's going on and recommended service. They didn't push service that wasn't needed, and when all was said and done I was out of there with most of the day still ahead of me to get other things done. Top notch! read more

Reading some of the negative reviews and I'm shocked! My brakes and rotors were worn completely down. I went to a few other places but was never satisfied with customer service, I called and Marcos got me in same day fixed my brakes rotors and did an oil change. This was the only shop that took me out to my car and showed me what it looked like and educated me. That's the customer service I appreciate! He worked with me financially, and they also offer financing which is a great help if you need it! I would definitely recommend them and come back for any car service! Went in today to get their maintenance package: lube, Oil, Filter, and tire rotation. Also comes with the standard "courtesy" check that you get from every oil change place. I must say, for 17.95, this was an exceptional bargain and I highly recommend this place. I usually change my own oil but I just couldn't ignore the big yellow 17.95 sign that they put on on the street. I mean, I spend around 17 bucks just on buying my own oil/filter and changing it myself so I figured I'd give this place a try. Can't say enough good things about the courtesy there and the great/timely service. They told me it'd take an hour, and that's exactly how long it took. If you go early in the day, you can probably get it done in less than 30 minutes, I happened to go when there were several cars in front of mine. Servicemen here seem pretty trustworthy and treat customers with respect (instead of trying to upsell every service like other places). From what I've been told, this place has gone through a change in ownership/management because the prior owners/managers seemed to really piss off a lot of customers. Not a hint of that exists here now and the new guys really seem to be trying to change the image of this place. If you need an oil change, this place rocks. I haven't done any of their other services yet so I don't know about those. read more

So HAPPY we had the opportunity to Meet Marco! what an wonderful, friendly, and very knowledgeable guy he is! The shop was very clean and welcoming. What a blessing! We are from Santa Clarita and we have now found our new place where we will take the beautiful drive to Ventura & have our vehicles looked at and repaired by true professionals! I would rate this shop a ZERO! Worst experience ever! Brought my car to this shop for a certain "issue". Got charged $2,295.89. Paid it and took car home but same "issue" was not fixed so i sent it back to shop again, told them same "issue" was not fixed. Got charged $860, paid it and took car , while driving home, I noticed that the same"issue" was still not fixed. I called the manager (he said his name is Mark) to discuss the situation, Instead he laughed at me while I was talking and told me I don't know anything about what's going on, and I have to take the car back so they can take a look and said "maybe the parts we put is not working well". He was vey unprofessional and impolite. This shop is not honest and their workers are incompetent! Brought my car to another shop here in Ventura and fixed the "issue" for only $199.00, and fast!! We will NEVER go back to Ventura MIDAS!!! read more

I went to this guy to have my cat converter fixed, Which he did not do. Instead he replaced my tail pipes. I had just had my regular mechanic do my brakes but he took it upon himself to replace my whole brake system-which are now leaking n nearly caused me to wreck. When I got my truck back my seat was broken. Not to mention my cat converter is still out. All to the tune of 4500 bucks. Later on my friend also went to this guy who was completely predictory on my 68 year old friend n charged her 3500 for minimal work including 50. Dollars for a ten dollar gas cap that did not need to be replaced. I have reported him to the better business bureau. So caution do not go to this shark who preys on the elderly n held my truck and forced me to pay it before releasing my truck. Beware read more
