I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but if it saves someone from making the same mistake I did, I…read morefeel obligated to do so. I would STRONGLY recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere. Any shop that offers a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review should, in my opinion, be approached with caution. My experience with this shop was far from positive. A truck that had 250,000 miles on it and was showing signs that should have raised some serious questions about a failing head gasket. Instead, I was led through a series of costly repairs that basically treated the symptoms instead of finding the actual problem. Those repairs ultimately failed within a few weeks. They also installed what I believe were cheap aftermarket parts, including the wrong front struts. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking responsibility and replacing them, they wanted to charge me to install a lift on the rear of the truck to compensate for the front end sitting higher than the rear. WTF? Another big concern was the price and quality of the parts. When I asked about the brand of the parts they were installing, which seemed they were hesitant to reveal, I was surprised to find what appeared to be nearly a 100% markup compared with retail prices. Their invoices also don't identify the brand or manufacturer of the parts, so you really don't know what you're paying for. In my experience, the parts were marked up an unreasonable amount, especially considering the quality. Looking back, I feel like the focus was more on getting me to authorize additional repairs rather than properly figuring out what was actually wrong with the truck, knowing Id probably just cut my losses if I had been told the truth about the head gasket from the beginning. I originally brought my truck here because I was trying to avoid dealership prices. Unfortunately, when I finally took it to the dealership, that's when I learned what was actually wrong with the truck, which was in fact the head gasket and the wrong struts installed. The dealership also asked me if I had ever used a quick sealant in my engine because of the sludge they found in the radiator overflow, the radiator that auto clinique just replaced. I don't have proof, but definitely raised even more concerns about the shop practices. I was so hopeful that I had found an honest shop, but sadly, I'd have to say they are far from it. And Ray, I'm not interested in you telling me how you offer a year warranty on your parts and repairs. Thank you

I recently visited Firestone for an oil change and inspection, paying over $100 for the service…read more While I understand upselling is part of the process, the staff were so focused on selling me additional services that they did not properly complete the job I actually came in for. They performed the oil change, but failed to properly install the oil filter cap. Because of this mistake, all the oil leaked out while I was driving. I had told them clearly that I was traveling out of state and needed everything done correctly, yet their lack of attention still caused a major issue. Luckily, I caught the problem in time before the engine was damaged, but the situation still cost me two full days stuck in a state I didn't even plan to stay in, waiting for the weekend to pass so I could get the car looked at on Monday. I had to pay for a tow truck, take the car to a mechanic, and get everything fixed -- all because the oil filter cap was not installed properly. This kind of negligence is completely unacceptable. Firestone needs to take responsibility for this and reach out to me immediately. What I went through was stressful, expensive, and entirely avoidable.
