Got charged 120$ for a basic "inspection" they just pulled the code (which YOU can do for free at autozone) then they checked the wiring using the same scanner and then said I needed a brand new ocv valve totaling out to 500$ (you can buy it for 150$) and it's less than a 10 minute job. It's two bolts. So I took the car out obviously. Then fixed it myself and it wasn't even the issue with the car so I paid 120$ for a code reading and an incorrect diagnosis plus would've gotten scammed outta 500$ this place is an absolute joke. read more

Great service here. I Lost my windshield wiper this morning, it just broke off, and I did not want to go back to where I had put on previously. Called and spoke to Ron at Midas who said he had a lot of different ones, but if for some reason he didn't have one to fit my car he could get one quickly. Well, I went over about 15 minutes after I called and Ron came into the office and knew it was me, the wiper blade caller LOL. It took all of 5 minutes for them to take care of everything, everyone there was so nice, and they the charge for all this was a Happy Holiday-Merry Christmas. These people are a joke. First off you're met by the guy at the front desk. Mouth full of chewing tobacco, with his spit cup sitting right in front of you. This should've been my first warning. I brought my car to them for some work, and days after I got it back my car was putting, as it has never done before! I brought it back to them just to find out they used old hoses on my brand new radiator. And charged me for the new hose and LABOR! This is the best auto shop I've ever been to. Their prices are unbeatable, and they are deeply committed to customer satisfaction. As a woman who knows little about cars, I appreciated how they explained what was wrong with my brakes using a metaphor and even showed me the issue with my car. I previously visited this Midas location for a full oil change on my 2015 Toyota Corolla, which only costed me $35! Since then, I've referred my family there, my mom has also had a very positive experience. Still can't click this supposed "LINK " The owner left lol... FEELING, "GOT"! Started out as 5 s but ... Came in for an oil change, am going on a road trip this week. Thought I had enough money on me for my oil change but the manager told me I needed a air filter. The Air filter I needed was 15$ oil change $75 give or take 104$ for everything. The manager said to me that he didn't want to send me on a road with a bad filter, he wants me to be safe! So I counted up all the money I had + a 2$ scratch ticket (which they didn't take lol) and I had 96$. The other guy said "give her a discount" and they made it 96$ So I left happy! Until I got home and realized, aren't Air filters supposed to be included?? So just to double check, I called another Midas, and they told me that all air filters and other filters are included in oil changes!! I gave up all my money for something that's included? Midas was so wonderful after a long drive around and talking to several places trying to get my oil changed they were willing to help me out by letting me put in the oil I brought and changing my wiper blades I brought and still doing the all point inspection with my tires and making sure everything was greased up that needed it!! They also did the 10% discount for military which helped out so much!!!! I..came into the shop explained I need a brake inspection because I just got done with my car being messed up in a repair shop in tilicum. That mecanic put on bad parts charging me 800 and my breaks still don't work. I went in explained it all to miranda the woman who worked behind the counter at midas .I was told to come back and I would have a free break inspection. I went in yesterday ...the guy behind the counter told me to come back at 11 that's a slow time...I came back today and was told I had to pay 40 dollers for a basic break inspection .Even tho they told me something different a few days ago...AND THIER SIGN says free break inspection .will never go there again read more

I set up two appointments on line, each time, Midas saying they would respond within 30 minutes. I tried calling all day and got no answer, so I got my truck towed there because I had no brakes at all. I get there and there's a note on their window saying, "closed until further notice due to staffing issues." They could have at least left a message on their machine saying this!!! I have my truck half off the tow truck and now had to put it back on the tow truck and had NO PLACE TO TAKE IT!!!! Their customer service sucks!!!! read more

I give this place one star because they are friendly people. BUT friendliness doesn't help much when your vehicle is returned worse than when you brought it in. The work was so bad that after 9 days with it, they finally gave up and told me to take it to a dealership (and this is the short version of events) I drove in with a slight noise and I was left with a car that I had to towed to the dealership service center because it sounded so bad. Then the dealership charged twice as much because of all the parts Midas broke trying to fix the original problem and that was cheap because a friend owed a friend a favor so I got it repaired cheaper. I am sure they are fine with simple repairs like oil changes, tires, brakes etc but I would suggest looking elsewhere if you need a water pump and belt or anything else that requires a little more skill. According to the dealership mechanic, it wasn't my "problem car" that Midas claimed, it was Midas mechanics who didn't know what they were doing. He fixed it in one day, including the extra parts he had to replace. You know what they say, you get what you pay for. read more

These guys are the most honest mechanics I have been to, they don't try and make crap up to make a sale or a fix. I've been in 5 times with a different issue and it's always been fixed promptly and correctly. They don't over charge. They explain things to me in a way I understand and they don't make me feel dumb when I bring my car in. I definitely recommend Midas. my car had broken and we went to get it fixed they charged me 1,500 and then shortly after the car began to have issues, we went to get it fixed because they gave us a warranty at arrival they said that the issue the car now had was indeed what was fixed before and if we brought the documents they gave us then they'd fix it NO FEE ! they said that without the paper it was 900$ to fix and we brought the info back and the same man! who had now changed up what he said and said the car had other issues and those weren't the issues they had fixed and that the fee was now 1,200! THEY DIDNT WANT TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE ! WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COVID PANDEMIC WHY WOULD YOU ASK FOR SO MUCH MONEY TO FIX A ISSUE YOU GAVE US A "WARRANTY " for ?! IS IT BECAUSE WE ARE WOMEN AND THEY BELIEVE WE WILL GIVE THEM MONEY JUST BECAUSE ? HELL NO ! Took the car in for an AC diagnostic after diagnosing it for 3 days. They have refused to acknowledge they could have diagnosed my car incorrectly. Have not called me back after almost two weeks of complaints. Shoddy work putting front bumper back on, where screws were forgotten and part of bumper is outside where it should be. They also forgot to plug in a wire, which gave me a false bad battery light. Claimed they could not have done anything to cause that problem, but they would look into it for a diagnostic fee. Claimed compressor was getting power, which I had checked and it was not, and that there was a problem with the compressor, which I had also checked and there was not. Recommended complete replacement of AC system at $1300. ** Update: Was eventually called back and the issue with the AC was resolved. read more

Really upset at this point as I am sitting on the freeway because Midas staff did a lousy job on my car. The clamp on the hose was so tight it ripped a hole in the hose, that they just fixed yesterday, for the second time. updated review: I went to get an oil change and last time they tried pushing a lot of things on me that I didn't need fixed or I just got fixed last time when I visited them. They suggested another battery clean even though I did it in April and replacing all my tires since they looked really worn out. ( I replaced them at the beginning of this year) when I mentioned it to them they said it's not in their database even though I have the receipt to prove it. Then with another car I went to get an oil change they did the same thing, tried to get me to pay 300$ to replace a perfectly working battery for my 2008 Honda Accord. The 1st time I got my oil changed here, the manager was polite but the waiting room was filthy and the bathroom was gross. I decided that since it was only $19.99 and on my way home from work, that it was ok. The 2nd time I tried to get my oil changed here, I was told (by the new manager) that I would have to come back because he didn't have the oil filter in stock. I told him that the check engine light was on and asked them to check the oil. The mechanic said that I was 1/2 quart low on oil and that my car was missing on 2 cylinders. When I asked the manager if he could top off the oil, he said NO- I needed to come back tomorrow for an oil change and a $300 tune-up. Instead, I bought a groupon and went to Mike at Honest1. He said the only thing wrong with my car was that it was 2 QUARTS low on oil!!! I got my oil changed and my brakes lines flushed and filled for $30 with my coupon and now my car is running like a top! Do yourself a favor and go down the road to Honest1 Auto Care. The entire place is super clean, they have a play area for kids, WIFI, and computers you can use! Best of all, they are affordable, timely and HONEST! read more

Good honest crew working here. I was experiencing brake squeal on my Toyota and I was going to replace the brakes on my car. As I'm not a professional, I decided last minute to have them inspected so I knew exactly what needed replacing and what could be skipped. I gave them the run down on my symptoms, they completed a full pad, drum, and rotor inspection and concluded that my brakes were mechanically sound and my brake squeal was most likely due to the 30 degree change in weather we just had. Good to know Midas is still a great ethical company. I had a similar experience with them when I was a kid in high school. read more

My husband and I were driving home from the hospital with our newborn baby when we had a blowout on Pacific ave, we pulled into the complex where Midas is located, my husband went in and asked of they could help us out we did not have much money as we just had a baby and payday happened to be the next day. Long story short they welcomed me and baby into the waiting area while they took our car and changed the tire, they allowed us to come back the next day on good faith to pay for the tire and had us back on our way home within 20 minutes. This is not something you can expect nowadays and it was a huge blessing for my family, especially since it was around 20 degrees out and we had a new baby in the car! the staff was so nice and helpful and we are very grateful, we also filled out an application for tire credit and will be going back next week to purchase tires thank you so much to all the staff at spanaway Midas read more
