This place is legitimately a life saver! I was on an emergency hunt for a new car and wanted to get a pre purchase inspection before purchasing a used vehicle. Being that it was Sunday on Veterans Day weekend, not a lot of mechanics were open- but this location was. I called to check if they offer PPIs and Shawn answered and confirmed that they do. Even better, it was free (whereas all other competitors were charging $140 to $200). After an expensive weekend of car issues, just saving this money was another huge relief. I was able to drive the car up without an appointment, and Shawn and his coworker were so friendly and thorough. They went above and beyond and found everything wrong with the used car (there's always something) and even compiled a formal list of issues for me. Without their help, I wouldn't be able to make the informed purchase that I did and even negotiate for covered repairs on the vehicle I wanted to purchase. I'm so thankful for the amazing and knowledgeable mechanics here! read more

A huge shout-out to Ish, Steven and Jason for their help over the weekend! We called on Saturday to check to see if they do pre-purchase vehicle inspections and they do! We ended up bringing 3 different cars to them. It was an exhausting two days at the dealership! Their team was integral in helping us make the best and safest decision for our family. We will absolutely be back to service our vehicles there because I know that the customer service is there! read more

I desperately needed an oil change. So I pulled into grease monkey. The staff was knowledgeable and fun. They changed my oil then suggested my cabin filter may need changing. OMG!!!! So grooosssss. But they had one ready to go for a fair price. My ac runs like a dream now. I got my oil changed AND my filter all for a decent amount. I will definitely be returning. An excuse for grabbing ice cream next door for the wait isn't a bad thing either. read more

Reliable fast service. No wait. Asked to do a coolant system flush and fill - they didn't have my type of coolant fluid.

For the past 10+ years, I've had my car's oil changed at this oil change service station but last week for me marked a decline in their quality of service. I had my car's oil chaged and after drove straight home. I smelled burning oil coming from my vents and from the front of my car. I popped the hood to check what was going on and found oil spilled below the oil filter that trickled down the lower engine block. It was obvious the the service technician failed to clean up the oil spill after replacing the oil filter. I had the engine cool down for a while before hosing down the oil spill from the lower engine block and protective shield below that. read more

Shawn is awesome. They provide great fast , knowledgeable service at a really great price! Totally will bring my vehicles here for anything I can in the future. Thanks guys read more

I've taken my swagger wagon here twice now to get an oil change and each and every time the customer service I received has been superb. The gentleman at the front desk has always been so kind and helpful and always answered any questions I had. The technician that was working on my car was nice enough to come in and tell me that everything looked great but that it was time for my air filter to be replaced and the cost associated with it. I can honestly say that i didn't feel like another number that they had to get in and out within a certain time frame. The prices are pretty average, what you expect at other oil change establishments. They offer military discount which is another great perk. All in all, i would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking to get service on your car. The wait is not very long. I was there at around 9am on a Saturday morning and I was in and out in less than an hour. Can't beat that, especially on a Saturday morning. read more

Grease Monkey - Nice. A timer showing how long it should take for your car to be done along with some pricing o other services they offer - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Spanaway, Washington

See all

I went in and had my oil changed, as soon as I pulled out of the bay it had a loud knocking noise from under the hood. We pulled my car back into the bay and they said they didn't do it and there was no way they could have. The refused to write on paper that when we pulled into the shop it was silent and now it's not. So disappointed and frustrated. They never offered to reimburse for the oil change either. Sitting in the parking lot of Grease monkey waiting for a tow truck because it's not ok to drive. Update: they bent a flange in my motor, refused to reimburse me for my oil change and broke the part. Worse service I have ever had. read more

We have lived here for 6 years and my husband and I always bring our vehicles here to Grease Monkey. They are quick, efficient, and extremely nice. It is hard to find a place for a female to take a vehicle without beIng conned into unnecessary maintenance. They are honest and also have a veterans discount! read more

Shawn and his crew of mechanics were exceptionally wonderful in welcoming me home to Washington. After a long snow covered drive through 3 mountain passes I had acquired quite a few mechanical issues. They were very kind and thorough when servicing my truck; Shawn immediately called the parts shop so I would have a clear estimate for repairs and eased my anxiety immensely. Beyond grateful for this team's Camaraderie today. Will most certainly make them my new main shop! read more

I came into this grease monkey with a lot of questions and concerns, Ken was very patient and very kind while he was explaining everything in clear detail for me. He went above and beyond with fantastic customer service, and didn't try to swindle more money out of me like other places have. I would recommend this place any day, I will be going back. Thank you to the other mechanics as well for cleaning out my car and taking the time to help me understand things about my car I didn't know as well! read more

I've been here before for my VW TDI jetta so I thought an oil change for a VW TDI Touraeg wouldn't cost much more. I was Sticker Shocked! They charged me $44 for 4wd full service.. I only wanted my brakes looked at and I had a coupon from them for a free inspection. I didn't notice this odd additional charge until I reviewed my bill prior to writing the Grease Monkey office...I have not heard back from them as to why I was charged $44. My total bill was $143.44. For an oil change? I asked why? He claimed it took a lit of oil. Also he gave me 20% discount for military instead if 15%.. But I had to wait two hours! The mechanic drained the oil tank before checking if the right filter was in stock! I felt highjacked! It wasn't until the next day after my migraine faded before I read their home page- 100% Customer Satisfaction! Really? I don't think so read more

I was in and out on a Saturday afternoon. Staff was friendly and changed my oil in a timely manner. They give you recommendations but in no way are you pressured to follow through. I will definitely come back! They also have a guarantee that if any of your fluids in your vehicle get low before your next visit they will top it off free. That was nice to know! :) read more

very professional/respectful and timely service will be returning for future oil changes. called shawn on the phone and came in same day. my oil change took 12 minutes max. they checked all my fluids and tire pressure and air. they gave me a awesome sticker to let me know when to come back. Great place, in and out in under 20 minutes today for my 2013 Tundra. Prices, etc. were discussed before anything was done. Mechanic was really nice. I'll definitely be back. read more

These guys are great! I was in and out very quickly! They also do brakes and other maintenance items as well.

I went into this place to have my oil changed, and just like the few times before the lady there immediately goes into her up sell routine. It's always, you need to flush this and flush that, but unbeknownst to her, some of the fluids she claimed required service, had recently been done. The last straw was when she tried to sell me windshield wiper blades. When I responded "they were replaced yesterday" she replied "well they looked worn to me". I believe you could draw one of two conclusions here- she was either dishonest, or incompetent, neither are qualities I look for in a business who I have or would entrust with servicing my automobile. Feel free to draw your own conclusions, I for one will never return to this place. read more

I'm not too sure why others have gave this place such poor reviews, I have never had any problems with grease monkey and their staff. They are amazing, great prices, and very fast. Will continue to come back regularly! read more

Used to be my go to spot for oil changes, but when the tech told me I needed more than the recommended amount of oil for my vehicle, I knew he was full of shit. I missed the good ole days when folks didnt try to up-sale you. read more

I went in 3-4 months ago and was impressed by the fast service. I had never been to a Grease Money, but it was on my way home so I pulled in and was out of there in less than 20 minutes. However, my fiancee just changed my oil and said the wrong size oil filter was on there. I'm disappointed. The speedy service was great, but it's better to take an extra five minutes and do the job accurately. I will not be coming back. read more

Fast and friendly service! I'm not super knowledgeable about cars and they made sure to make me feel comfortable and not stupid. They let me know all the problems with my car with zero pressure to fix anything that day. Even noticed a bad cap and replaced it no charge. Full service oil change plus vacuumed out my car! I was in and out in less then 20min! I will be retuning for my next oil change and probably the rest of my car services! read more

Customer service used to be great. Not anymore and customer service was the only reason I used to go there since I could get an oil change cheaper just about anywhere. I will save my money going forward. read more

Highly recommended!! read more
