They get 2 stars based on my early experiences with them over the past few years, I no longer recommend them. Back then Dave was running the front desk and things were very reliable. Their standard pitch lately is now to have you leave your vehicle for what entails a 30-60 minute inspection and tell you that if they find something that needs repair then the vehicle is already in the bay and they can take care of it. The issue here is that I am just requesting an inspection - and if additional work is needed then I reserve the right to obtain other quotes. I don't consider it necessary to leave my vehicle for an entire day while they work around other jobs they have going and waiting for what typically amounts to work that I want a second opinion on. Just advise not to 'leave' your vehicle, if they can't do a basic check in an hour then they're wasting your time and setting up expectations of major work that needs doing. read more

This place came highly recommended. I had my truck in for repairs and when diagnosed they determined I needed a complete catalytic converter system rebuild. They ordered the part, shipped from Alabama, it cost me over $ 6,000. 300 miles later I had the same result and when I took it to a dealer they discovered 3 sensors had not been reconnected as well as a burned out DEF pump and a throttle body issue. $3,000 more and it is finally fixed. I don't think your techs had the right experience to deal with this. I will contact Midas Corporate. read more

DONT GO HERE! in the past year my wife has taken her CX5 here several times. last oil change they tried to sell her a new oil pan..which she didnt need. for 800 bucks. went elsewhere,they exposed the lie. she gave them 900 hundred bucks for rear brakes.found out recently the didnt replace,or fix anything,just took her money. she had a headlight replaced,they charged her for 2. the list goes on. dont trust these people! we wont anymore. read more

So......Husband just got back from Midas on Pacific and Sleater Kinney. Fun story. Took our little Honda civic in to have a parasitic draw diagnosed. They end up having the car for a week. Come to find out that, according to them, it is the fuse box and needs to be taken to the dealer. Fast forward to today. We go to pick up the car, as he is driving home the windows won't roll up . He drives back and they say it's a fuse. They can't find the fuse! 10 minutes later they find one and he is on his way home. He checks the passenger side window and it's not working!! Go back to the shop for another 10 minute wait to find another fuse. While this is all going on, almost ALL of the employees are VAPING IN THE SHOP!!! Have been using Lacey Midas for basic maintenance for 17+ years. Thought they were trustworthy. 2015 Mazda CX5 allegedly needed rear brakes, seemed likely asit had 150000+ miles. Paid $897 for pads/rotors/calipers plus labor on 2/2/24. Seemed to be okay, although I hadn't been having any issues prior to work, just trying to be proactive. Today brake light came on, called my son who said to get fluid & he'd check t after work. Husband got home & filled fluid reservoir. Light went off drove it around bock seemed okay. Son checked later & found entire inside L rear wheel covered in Brae fluid video of fluid leak. Discovered "replaced" calipers are original Mazda calipers not reconditioned parts, R rear rotor appears to be original. I am furious & completely disgusted to have put my trust in this shop & feel like I have been totally screwed. I should not have to drag my husband or son with me when having basic repairs/maintenance on my car! Will be having ought conversation tomorrow regarding exorbitant charges for work not done!! THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS!! On Thanksgiving Night my mother's car was stolen from this Midas. My sister and i dropped off the car, as instructed by the manager Dave, that night to be repaired the following morning. We locked up the car and keys were placed in the drop box, again, as instructed by Dave. The next day we called the shop to find out when our mothers car would be ready. Dave answered the phone and informed us that he didn't have the car and no keys were in the box when he arrived. We immediately called the police, filed a report and asked Dave to be in touch with us to help address the matter. Well, long story short, the police found our mothers car the next night. It had be stolen by someone that used it to shoot up drugs (needles were still in the car), and as it appeared, to basically live in. Stolen credit card were also found. The thief broke a side window and dented the car. We paid $600 to get the car out of tow, and in addition to the water pump repair it needed in the first place, it will now need a new side window and a car detail to deal with the disgusting mess left in it. But the bigger travesty is that, to this day WE HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM MIDAS AT ALL. No call to say we are sorry this happened. No call to take any responsibility. In fact when we called to find out the process for making a claim with their insurance company, Dave let us know that he was NOT RESPONSIBLE in any way because "the car was not in my possession"!!!! Yes, that is exactly his quote. We are frankly shocked at this point. This business is clearly not honest, trust worthy or accountable. We plan to take legal steps, but what a shame. An offer to minimally pay the tow, detail and repair costs would have been acceptable. But clearly this business does care about its customers. read more

Went to get my car checked out and dealt with the white haired, elf sized, Joe Pesci lookin old dude in the beanie. He is a horrible representative of the Midas company. He doesn't listen and talked down to me like I am too stupid to understand the problem I am explaining to him, which was painful to explain to somebody who wasn't listening and wanted to talk over my words. Condescending, disrespectful and the dude literally walked out of the consultation without saying a word and left me standing their without any direction. I came in to get car repaired and it seemed like this guy intentionaly wanted to run me outta there and showed ZERO interest in providing proper customer service or repairing my car. Went in to have my headlights adjusted they said i needed new ones and to grt them from auto zone .. also i had a new lock cylinder for the ignition and asked if ghey could install it they said no prob never telling me they wouldnt warrenty their work ...the result now my car wont start due to their work and wont help me at all... said i signed paper that says no warrenty which they gave me to sign when i picked vehicle up AFTER work was done not before or i would not of had them do it...besides they hsd me go get parts at autozone for headlights. So now i have no car was stranded for over 4 hours at night waiting for tow truck and they refuse to help me.. a 62 year old woman .. dont ever go there they just want your money any way they can get it ...wont tell you about their policy till its to late.. and do work they are not qualified to do.they should be ashamed for taking advantage of a woman read more

This Midas is a total rip-off. My husband took our car for a standard check-up. He was told that, in addition to oil change, etc., the power steering system and hydraulic brake system had to be flushed. OK, that was done. It cost about $250. Then, my husband was told that the valve cover gasket as well as the valve cover needed to be changed. He was told, initially, that it would cost $400. Then, for some reason, he was told, no, it will be more than that. It will cost about $900. This didn't seem right, to be quoted $400 and then up to $900, and it was way more than we were willing to pay, at any rate. We checked with another automotive shop with an excellent rating. First of all, the mechanic told us, it is VERY RARE that the valve cover has to be replaced. VERY RARE. The valve cover gasket could be replaced, of course, for $149.46, about 63 mins. time for replacement. When we took the car there, the mechanic told us there was absolutely nothing wrong with the valve cover. We told him what Midas had told us, and when we told him that Midas wanted $900 to do this work, his jaw dropped. He shook his head and said, "I don't know what to say. All you need is a new valve cover gasket, and we'll go ahead and do that now. So they did, we paid $149.46. Dave's Midas is apparently as dishonest as a summer day is long. DO NOT go there. read more

I've been taking my cars, and both of my daughters cars here for over 12 years. Where to start... I appreciate that they are straightforward and honest with me and my daughters, they've worked with us to make sure our cars get the repairs they need and ONLY the repairs they need, and when times have been tough as far as the $ goes, they also worked with us to find used parts when he could, or let us know what needed to be done now vs what could wait until next payday. Dave recently showed that same integrity and empathy when I brought a 'new to me' car in that wasn't running, and he instead of charging me for a bunch of stuff it didn't need, he replaced the battery and when it started up he called me to let me know and he also recommended getting it caught up on the maintenance as well. I'm glad to have a shop I can trust with my cars! read more

So I took my Honda Accord to this shop for some maintenance it's an older car and was starting to have the braking issues. A previous shop quoted me almost double. They got me in same day and fixed it in a couple hours for a VERY affordable price. A couple days later it started making a very loud clicking noise. Called up Eric at the shop and he got me in again same day fixed it in a couple hours and sent me home FREE OF CHARGE the car drives like new! They are definitely my new go to for any auto work I need and I highly recommend them to take your car. No overcharges for miscelenuos expenses, felt like my family's shop. We left our truck there to be serviced and while in their care our tailgate was stolen right off the truck and Midas refused to compensate or offer anything for the inconvenience. I took my 2009 Cadillac to Lacey Midas, towed there because it wouldn't start. They replaced the fuel pump and relay for $935. When I went to pick it up, it wouldn't start. They played with the relay and it started and they sent me on my way. The following day, 40 miles from home it died while driving with the same problem as before. I had it towed to the Midas in Tacoma, 5 miles away. Found a ride home. The relay was burned and replaced by the Tacoma Midas for $192. No indication that the fuel pump needed to be replaced but the relay which they said they replaced ($42 for the part) was replaced in Tacoma. They didn't really care about the trouble, took no responsibility for the car breaking down with the same symptoms within 24 hours of their working on it with the same problem. They didn't offer any refund or monetary compensation for their failure to fix the problem. I will not take my vehicles to Lacey Midas again - Really didn't care. read more

So I make an appointment to have a nail removed from my tire. I get there and some guy named Dave forgot to put us down so 3 hrs later we finally get our vehicle back. Couple days later I realized they never removed the damn nail out of the tire! so I call the place back up, make another appointment only to find out, of course, it's in a place it cannot be repaired. Information that would have been nice to know to begin with. They charge me $80 because I did by the warranty but considering they screwed me over and they were pretty much assholes about it I probably should not have been charged anything especially since I had my wife, 3 yr old and 6 month old hanging around waiting for 3 hours for no reason in the rain with no communication. These guys are amazing!!! They do everything: regular servicing, repair, advice! A couple of years shook I needed a trailer hitch for my minivan, and after being lied to by an actual trailer-hitch company, Dave at Midas said, "we can get you that hitch AND install it for you, cheaper than what you were quoted by the other outfit." And they did! We have since used them for every auto-related need, including last week when our 17 year-old daughter drove home from school---all the way!-on a flat tire. Completely trashed it. Can't buy just one tire, you have to buy them in pairs... BUT, the tires on her (purchased used) car were very cheap summer tires (who knew?), necessitating the purchase of FOUR new tires (expensive lesson for daughter and parents!!! ). Anyway, Midas helped us get four new all-season tires for a very reasonable price. Want to take your vehicle to a place you can trust? Lacey Midas. I will never go anywhere else! read more

This is one of the last honest mechanic shops in town. They don't try to rip you off with changing the air filters like Jiffy Lube does, and will offer you the best deals that they have running. I came in for an oil change, and even though they didn't have to, they offered me their $19.99 oil change special, when I was expecting to pay $35. They are fast and always helpful. My check engine light came on, and I took it in. They looked at my car and explained that my thermostat in my car sensed a quick change in temperature (probably when I was attempting to defog my windows when stuck in traffic). They could have tried to rip me off by telling me something was broken and charged me an arm and a leg to fix it, but they didn't. Highly recommended! read more

I made an appointment the day before for my service van to have an oil change, including fuel filter and tire rotation, done the next day at 3 pm. I dropped my van off in the morning around 9ish am and returned at 4 pm to find my service van just then being pulled into a bay and put on a rack. The service advisor attempted an excuse of it being a diesel so it takes longer, but couldn't explain why it was just being racked an HOUR after it was scheduled to be in. I do not recommend this shop to anybody and will make sure none of my coworkers take their service vans to this location. Service and promptness are clearly lacking and I am speaking from over a decade in the industry. Avoid this shop if your time matters to you!!!! And after picking up my service van and being charged for a tire rotation, they never did that. Took a look at the fuel filter which still had factory clamps and factory markings indicating that was never done. This all leads me to believe the oil was never changed as well. Not a reputable company at all, would never consider them for my personal vehicles. read more

Had them check the breaks, alignment, spark plugs etc and they did a wonderful job at a reasonable price. I have now hard them put mufflers on my old 1956 Dodge truck and it sounds soooo nice now!!
