Would rate 0 stars if possible my serpentine belt snapped last night. my car got towed to midas after close. i called this morning and asked for a price. i was told when they looked at it they would call with a price. after 5 hours i called them and they told me the work was already done and i was ready for pickup and i owed them $182... for a $15 part and a 20 minute job. I understand markup everyone needs to make money, but $81 for a serp belt??? I price matched the same belt for $16 thats straight up robery. Now i understand your huge "we do not install customer supplied parts" sign... when i went for pickup i asked why the work was done without my ok, and without calling me beforehand. the guy at the counter, without making eye contact said, "i don't know... must have been a miscommunication"... no apology or anything... i get the keys back, and the check engine light is still on. i go back inside to tell them and im told "yeah of course its still on. we didnt plug it in. wait, this didnt happen when the belt broke. did it?" after i looked at him for a minute, trying to fathom the question... he pulls the car back in, finally get the light off. then the "change oil soon" light was still on after they had just done it and i specifically asked them to turn it off. after 3 employees, and 5 attempts, it finally got it off. y'all scammed me good this time, but this will be the last time i go there. i will never recommend anyone to use you. The brakes installed in my car were done incorrectly - they forgot a bolt. I paid for a service that ended up leaving me scared to drive my car because grinding noises were happening as I trying to stop. I called and told them I would have it repaired else where, and received no apologies and had to even go back and forth about them even paying for the repair. Didn't offer a refund for the faulty job that was dangerous, I understand mistakes happen but it shows what type of business a place is if they treat customers like this. read more

Their service has depreciate over the number of years. I took both my cars in for an oil change. The mechanics were suppose to do an inspection on my car which was included in the oil change price. However, the mechanic who did the oil change never inspected my car, it took him 10 minutes to do oil change and he came out later saying everything was fine with my vehicle. I got even more worried, because this car hasn't had a maintenance in 13 years, except for battery, brakes, and tire change. Fast forward a couple of months later, I went to a different place (Integrity auto) to do an inspection along with oil change. He went over a 10 document page over my car and listed all the fees. There was so many problems with my car such as brake fluids, valve casket, spark plugs, rear tires, battery, struts, and list kept going on and on. Since my car is over 120k miles, he said it's important that I replace some of the parts to make it run 100k more miles. In retrospect, if I kept driving around without an ounce of care in the world for my vehicle, i would of been a vegetable stuck on the side of the road. It's imperative for any mechanic to do a REAL INSPECTION on every vehicle, instead of brushing it to the side, and just getting a paycheck. read more

I went in because my muffler heat shield was rattling and I was looking to get it welded back in place or at least an estimate for a new one. After the manager opened the store, he asked me to watch the store for a few minutes as he ran across the street to get some medication. Technician did not show up until 30 minutes after opening and appearance of both employees was totally unprofessional, wife beater and crocs. Fast forward 4 hours, my truck finally gets on the rack and my suspicions were confirmed. Instead of fixing the problem while on the rack, it was recommended I make an appointment for next week. I came here for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Everything was fine until I went to another shop to get that service done again months later. This shop informed me that wherever I had received my last tire rotation (Midas) had not replaced one of the lug nuts right when rotating the tires, causing the next tire rotation to strip the lug nut when the tire was removed. For a place that is supposedly experts in tires, Midas could not even do a simple tire rotation without causing me to replace a lug nut on my wheel. This mistake is setting me back about $80. The people who work at Midas are not competent in a simple routine tire rotation. read more

They were much more helpful than the customer service people at Interstate Battery who told me something totally different than what was clearly written in their online warranty statement. read more

I will not take my vehicle there! My coworker had his car towed there after hours and called the next morning to get a price on replacing the serpentine belt and was told they'd call him back. Several hours later he calls back and Midas is like you're all fixed and ready to go! He didn't authorize them to fix it and to top it off they charged him $82.00 for a 7.99 belt and then didn't reset his check engine light or his change oil light! But really 82.00 for a belt I priced them at several parts stores and the average price is 8-15 $with a one year warranty! They ripped him! I have to give 1 star to leave a review. We have a Dodge Grand Caravan had a exhaust problem. Took it in to Midas on Ogeechee. They diagnosed it as a bad muffler and replaced the muffler. After Midas worked on it sounded horrible so I took it back. They said the noise was normal. I have since had the van properly repaired at Savannah Tire. The new noise was coming from a pipe that was left in the exhaust system by Midas. I went back to Midas to show proof of the repair and my receipts and they basically said that they don't care. Exclusive Taxi will never use any Midas again. They were rude gave poor customer service and poor repair service! read more

This place is horrible. Originally went to have my AC serviced because the driver side quit working and passenger side would only blow hot air. After having my car all day constantly calling for updates because it had been hours they finally stated they flushed the system, added freon, and stated that I would need a Blend door actuator. They ordered the part and stated to bring the car in early the next morning which I did. This was a $500 job and I've taken my car back 3 times since because the passenger side is still blowing hot air. The first two times the manager Mike informed that my temperature settings were off and that they fixed it. I still don't understand how they "fixed it" if I continuously inform them that the temperatures are not the same between the driver and passenger side. Finally Troy, the mechanic that initially serviced my car and replaced the blend door actuator, informed me that he was unaware that the passenger side had a problem. I asked how could that be when I've brought the car back twice after him servicing my car with the same problem pertaining to the passenger side. He then stated that he was unaware that I had brought the car back that many times. Troy informed me to bring my car back the following Monday and he would replace the passenger side blend door actuator if needed. Monday I dropped my car off and they had my car most of the day. When I went to pick the car up the manager Mike told me that I did not need another blend door actuator and that my freon was low and my temperature settings were off. I reminded him about my freon being replaced on the initial visit and that they adjusted my temperature settings twice already. Before leaving I ran my car in the parking lot and it was still working incorrectly. Another mechanic came out stating that he worked on my car that day and he received no information about a blend door actuator. I asked where was Troy and why wasn't he the mechanic to service my car as agreed upon. The mechanic told me that Troy was not in for the day and to my surprise went on to state that there has been multiple complaints about Troy and that he is known for not really fixing the issue and overcharging the customers with work that does not need to be done. He said management does not do anything because Troy has been working there the longest. He also informed me that the owner was in the office and that I should speak with him instead of the manager. After hearing these allegations from one of their employees I went back inside and asked for a refund and for the owner because after 4 times my car still had the same issues and the shop did not seem to know what the actual problem was. The manager Mike became very rude and condescending with me about retrieving the owner and began to lie to the owner about my complaints about the car. He went as far as saying that I denied getting a blend door actuator when the paper work clearly shows that I came in the next day for the service once the part came in. The owner, Dex, refused a refund and said I made up lies about what his mechanic just told. However I had a witness on speaker phone the whole time I spoke with the mechanic. I also began recording the conversation to catch them in their lies. The manager went outside to speak to the mechanic to make sure he did not speak to me again however I was able to get his information without the manager knowing. The owner began telling me to leave once I started covering my tracks and stated that he was not worried about me taking this to court. As far as a resolution I asked why I wasn't informed that morning that Troy was not there to service my car since he appeared to be the only one that knows about my car. The owner admitted fault in that and stated to bring my car back and if it needed another blend door he would replace it at no charge. This shop contradicts themselves so much because that was agreed on for this 4th visit. Also the manager stated 10 minutes prior that I did not need a blend door actuator. This location is very unprofessional and incompetent and I do not want them to service my car anymore. I've had to bring it a total of 4 times for the same problem with no resolution or explanation about what the real problem is. Stay away from Midas or have a lawyer ready if you decide to use them. They deserve a rating of ZERO. read more

I am appalled at the lack of service I just received at my local Midas. Or shall I say the service I did not receive at all. Earlier today I set up a 2pm appointment for an oil change. I arrived a few minutes before 2 and was greeted with " we will get to you when we can". A few moments later a man walked in and told the elderly man behind the counter that he had a brake problem. The service writer then took his keys and got all of his information immediately. I continued to sit with my keys for another 30 mins (while the other patron's car was being serviced) before I was called to the desk. I was then informed that it would be another 30 mins to an hour before my car could be taken back. An appointment slot was ignored to take a larger job. And rudely so. This is a terrible business ethic . I hope this is not a standard practice for Midas. I also wonder if it was because I am female. Regardless of the reason, I am disappointed as my car also needs other work and this location is only a few miles from my home-the convenience supporting the neighborhood seemed like a good plan. We were traveling from FL to VT today. We realized there was a problem with the AC in our Acura MDX. We stopped at one repair shop. They had open bays and mechanics sitting in the bay's, but the manager said he could not help us until late in the day. I went online and found this Midas shop. My wife called and was told to come right in. We had to detour 30 min back to get to the shop. We pulled in and the lot was full, I had to park behind other cars. I went inside not feeling confident that we would have repairs done anytime soon. I explained what had happened and Scott Nesbit the manager immediately pulled out car into a bay and had a mechanic trouble shoot it. 15 minutes later they pulled the car out of the service bay. I thought they had found a major unrepairable problem with the AC. Scott ca,e in said it was all set. The AC had frozen due to low freon. They added a pound of Freon and presto the AC was working perfectly. Scott told me that it would drip water for a while on the passenger floor but assured me it was working fine. We were there maybe 25 minutes total. The bill $52.00!! I was expecting a bill starting in the hundreds. These people are helpful, honest, understanding to the point that they had no problem with our 14 year old cat in their waiting room. Thank you Scott Peter read more
