The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because every time I bring my car in I usually have to wait minimum 1-2 hours. Even for an oil change. They try and accommodate walk ins which slows everything up. Here today getting my breaks done and going on 4 hours of waiting. I did not have an appointment and I do appreciate being fit in but wish they would tell me up front "hey you're probably gonna sit here 4 hours". Otherwise they aren't too expensive ($220 with coupon for lifetime warranty breaks and rotators resurfaced and hardware replaced). They seem very honest and I've never had an issue with the quality of their work here. There's a mechanic that's always got a cigarette in his mouth (doesn't seem safe), but he's worked on my car before and seems pretty good. Anyway, I keep coming back for a reason I guess. read more

In the past, I have taken my vehicle into Midas exclusively for muffler work. They've done a bang up job, have honored all warranty problems without complaint and behaved in a forthright and honest manner. Having said all that, I decided to take my vehicle in to have it looked at for a noise that was occurring. I was concerned it might be a brake issue. Well...It took most of the day for them to LOOK at the problem, and then I was told I needed the whole shebang, brake pads, rotors, the works. Now, we had had the brake pads replaced less than 6 months previously and the rotors were fine THEN, so unless there was a faulty pad, the rotors shouldn't have been at issue. I was quoted around $800.00 for the repair. I discussed it with my spouse, and decided to decline the repair. They suggested I open a line of credit with them, and urged me to get it done anyway "for my safety". IN PASSING, they mentioned that "SOMETHING was loose SOMEWHERE in the suspension" and I might want to get it checked out. When my husband couldn't get the tires back off to CHECK the rotors due to the Midas mechanic using an impact wrench on my vehicle and overtightening the lugs to the point that a star wrench and cheater bar wouldn't break them loose, I had to take it somewhere else to AT LEAST get those damned lug nuts loosened so that if I ever have a flat ON MY OWN I could actually do the work without being towed. I had them look at the vehicle. It was my tie rods and there wasn't a damned thing wrong with my brakes. THEY DIDN'T need replacing at all. My faith in this Midas has been shaken as to their forthrightness and honesty. I doubt I will continue to use them in future, except for the warranty work on the vehicles that we have had them do muffler work on already. read more

Went in for a walk-in oil change 9/24/15 and my vehicle was started within a 10 minute window. I was offered a coke or water, the customer waiting area was clean & inviting and the 3 guys I came in contact with were polite and got the job done quick. A courtesy check on my car was done and by the end of the oil change I believe the store manager, gave me the 411 and recommended a repair in the near future. In all honesty, I'll come back here again just because the customer service was that good the first time, and the repair won't break the bank. read more

They go out of their way to make sure your vehicle is fully inspected, which I never experienced this in other shops, they also try to accommodate with prices and that's super!!! Wow Im very impressed. Finally a shop that has customer service. JJ and his team are top notched. They will beat anyone's repair price and offer fast quality service. Based on their reputation I drove out to them which is 30 min away. I was quoted exactly the cost of my repair and they beat the price of the other shops. I am beyond grateful for the superb work ethic and customer service that this Midas in Redlands provides! They are always fair about prices and I always feel welcome. I'm not very knowledgeable about cars, but I always feel safe bringing my Civic here for any problems whatsoever. Rick, the manager, recently helped me out BIG TIME! I am talking about saving me over possibly $2,000.00 by informing me of a recall on an engine for my Honda so I was able to take it to the dealer for a free repair. He could have easily never mentioned it and I would have been out 2k. This is why I will never go anywhere else. I have done business with Midas Muffler shops for 30+ years. When I ran a large scale commercial landscape maintenance business out of Anaheim I used the (now closed) store in Anaheim to do brakes and service on my fleet. I later used the remaining store on La Palma in Anaheim for my personal vehicle and James, the manager there, was fantastic. I have now been to the Redlands store 4 times, twice under the current management of Daniel Diaz. What has always impressed me with Midas stores is how the managers run the shops like it is their own business, treating customers like a small business SHOULD treat loyal customers. Daniel is one of these managers. Daniel runs this store like he owns it and HIS customer service is what makes it a great store. After talking with Daniel again today about my decades long relationship with the company he comp'ed me my oil change. He also did a no charge check out of electrical issues for a woman struggling financially and living out of her van. I don't want to suggest to anyone that Daniel is a push-over and they can get free services, but Daniel is a good man running a local store for what has been for me a great company over 3 decades. I am a customer of Midas for life, and managers like Daniel Diaz are why I am so loyal to Midas for my auto service needs. I live in Lake Arrowhead and there are a LOT of places I can go to closer to home for servicing my car. I go to Midas in Redlands because of the great service there. I am sitting at Midas right now waiting for my new brakes. Excellent service and affordable. I had an appointment for noon but asked if they could get me in any earlier. I told him I could bring it another day but that I lived up in Lake Arrowhead and came here because of the yelp reviews and I had a yoga class next door. He was concerned about me driving back up the mountain when I suspected my brakes were in need of service and he was able to squeeze me in while I went to my class. When I got back he gave me the situation with my brakes. Not only did they let me use a cupon he insisted I "brought in with me" (notreally) but he also offered me lunch because the crew were having lunch brought in to them. On top of it, he talked to me about my cabin filter - which I knew was horrible. I told him Jiffy Lube wanted to replace it for $40 (with their "discount") and as JL was offering me that I found it for less than half that on Amazon. The Midas manager said he had one here for $20 that he would like to put in because mine was so bad. He ENCOURAGED me to check Amazon to see if it was a comparable price. It was only $7 cheaper on Amazon so I told him to go ahead and replace it. Worth it. I will always drive down the mountain to come here. read more

Don't use Midas in Redlands California they are crooks and said they fixed a problem on my Husbands truck and gave him a certain amount and when we picked it up it was a different amount. They couldn't explain what they did and what the break down of the invoice was. The wires they changed out were exposed wires. Complete idiots there! They are only getting one star because I have to click one or else they wouldn't get any!! read more

They immediately suspected something wasn't right and had us bring our car to them. They checked out the issue and sure enough, there was no issue. Everything was fine with our car. My first initial experience was great, I easing and out within the hour even though they were super busy. The manager Alan took good care of me and even though I spent a lot of money I felt ok because the experience was great. The second time I came back was to finish work that was started in the first visit and the guy that was here (Joe) was horrible! I got in at 8am (I came from riverside because the last experience was so great) and the guy joe had no clue what was going on. I came in to finish the work and the part was already ordered so it was suppose to be a very simple project but joe made everything complicated. He didn't know why I was here, didn't have the parts. When they did the test to find out the issue he told me I needed to fix exactly what Alan told me. From there he's cursing and complaining about how he was having a rough day and told me that me bringing my car in made them get behind, really?!!. I couldn't leave because I had no car so I sat there from 8-4 waiting and the first and only time I asked if he had time frame he very rudely told me no and that I could leave when ever I wanted, which i couldn't due to not having a car. This was sickly stupid and I lost my whole day dealing with this guy. Can't believe how frustrating this guy was! read more
