My nephew made an appointment with Midas because he was hearing a funny noise coming from the engine compartment. His first thought was that the serpentine belt was going so he wanted to get it replaced immediately so it wouldn't break and cause major damage. The noise turned out to be the belt hitting something that was sticking out a little bit. Joe also found a clip missing from one of the windshield wiper blades. The clip was essential to hold the wiper in place. Midas had a new clip in stock so my nephew was able to get both problems with his car solved. Thank you so much Team Midas! read more

Tow truck messed up wheel alignment and balance went to Midas to get a print out of estimate so I can claim it and get it done at Midas! But guy was too lazy and mumbled about he cant print it. I dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation. I was contacted later and advised that a mouse had made a nest in the engine area and chewed the wires leading to the spark plugs. I was told I would need a tune up and Chris told me he would have the rodent nest cleaned out for me. When the vehicle was finished I was advised that my bill would include $60.00 extra to clean out the nest. I would have cleaned it out myself if I new I would be charged. My tire pressures were never checked because my low tire pressure light was on. Someone at the shop also left the front passenger window open and my front passenger seat was soaked from the rain along with my receipt. I am highly disappointed with the service provided!! read more

I had initially gone in for an oil change. I was greeted by Louis, and taken quickly. The appointment was originally made online that same morning. Midas was quite busy on this day but they kept their commitment and worked on my car at the time scheduled. I had also asked about an exhaust noise that I was hearing they explained what the problem was and showed me the fault in the exhaust system. While I did not elect to get the exhaust work done immediately, I will schedule a time and have the car brought back to have the resonator replaced. I expected very little and got much more. There was no price increase from the original estimate, and everything they did and said made good mechanical sense. read more

I used Midas back in August for an oil change and was happy overall with the service. I visited again to have my new vehicle serviced with an oil change this March and ended up walking out. Two different employees smelled of smoke or was vaping as they were going to get in my car. I stopped both of them; they did confirm they were not going to smoke/vape INSIDE, that did not discount the fact that the smelled of the smoke. (With 2 small children, a scent of smoke in my car is not acceptable) On top of that, the price doubled for what I paid in August and was told that they were at least $15 cheaper than the dealer for an oil change and they scoffed when I said I only paid $40 in August - their comment: "that's why that management is no longer there". Shoppers beware - just an awareness review. I ended up walking out before my oil change and immediately called my dealer. I learned that my first oil change was FREE and any subsequent was priced $30 cheaper than Midas. Don't be fooled! read more

I have utilized Midas of Flemington for virtually all mechanical repairs for our automobiles, and for many of my oil changes, over the past 20 years. Over time the management has occasionally changed, but the service has always been outstanding. The gentleman now in the manager's seat, JR, goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers, and the repair work done is always expertly accomplished, in our experiences. I have also found, repeatedly, that if they are able to save their customers some money, they make every effort to do so. For example, I have taken my car there because an alert light was on, and instead of creating some false scenario, it has almost every time been some simple, computer error, which they check out and confirm, by driving the car a few miles. Upon handing my car back to me, I am frequently pleasantly surprised to find that there is no charge, whatsoever. That decency, which i am provided, and their desire to assist me, in every instance, are clearly the reasons that when I have a real need for automobile repair, or new tires, or virtually anything to maintain my automobile, Midas is where i will go! read more

Brought my car in for an estimate for muffler and exhaust work and being a woman I just wanted to get a second opinion, clearly they did not like that. I go to pick up my car and it's still on the lift with no work being done to it. The guy inside was constantly taking phone calls and finally asks what I was here for. Tells the guys in the garage who were just sitting around talking and DOING NOTHING to bring the car down. They just continued talking. It took the guy inside another 10 mins to tell them to bring it down and they finally did. As I left I asked if there was anything I needed to fill out and the guy just shoos me out the door, no eye contact. What should have taken 5 mins took 30. They clearly do not know what good customer service is and how to show it. Extremely rude and disrespectful so it is safe to say I will never be returning or recommending them to anyone else read more

I just came from a very trustworthy tire shop in Ewing. I had popped a tire on a curb and needed to have it replaced. The gentleman looked at my tires and suggested that I needed a new set. I said that I had had four new tires put on two years ago at Midas. He showed me how worn the tread was on one tire, how there was dry rot on another...and suggested I had not been sold new tires. I brought my car to Midas in Flemington because there was a bolt in my tire. After looking at it, they told me they wished they had better news for me, but the tire was IRREPARABLE. They said I would need a new tire, totaling about $280 in parts and labor. I told them that I didn't want them to do anything to the car and brought it home. The next day I brought my car to another shop, where oddly enough, they were able to plug the tire as opposed to replace it. Strange how one shop says it's irreparable and the other plugs the tire without an issue. In short, "they sit on a throne of lies." I would give this place NO STARS if the review system allowed it. read more

Logan & Brody went above and beyond to get me up and running ASAP. My Durango wouldn't start in my driveway. I called Flemington Midas and said my car would be arriving by towtruck. Unfortunately it was a quirky electrical problem. When the car arrived it started. Still the mechanic (Brody) kept the car for the day and ran down the problem, a broken coil wire. While there, I also had the oil changed and tires rotated & balanced. Logan was amazing and shuttled me to and from my job while the vehicle was in the shop. Good if you're just going to get the free oil change that they give out to new residents in the area, otherwise I would stay away. Brought my car in a while ago for a leaking radiator, turns out they had to replace the whole thing. After getting a few quotes from local places, Midas had the cheapest price, so I went with them. Dropped my car off, took about a day, and I came back to pick it up later that night. As soon as I drove off the lot, my car stalls not 50 feet past the entrance to Midas on 202. I pop the hood and the intake hose for my engine is completely detached from the throttle body. I'm pretty pissed at this point, but I managed to squeeze the hose back on just enough to drive back to Midas. I complained to the manager at the front desk, who didn't apologize once throughout this whole mess. After explaining to him what happened he just called a mechanic to look at it. This kid who couldn't have been more than a year out of high school came out to look at it. Extremely unprofessional, even lit up a cigarette as he was looking in my engine bay. He tightened the hose clamp and gave a half-hearted "sorry bout that", and walked away. I had to go back inside and insist that someone inspect the rest of the car as I didn't trust that everything else was put back together correctly when something as obvious as a 2" diameter hose on the top of the engine wasn't noticed. They "inspected" it, and found nothing. Later when looking at it I noticed two brackets that were bent back that were supposed to hold in the radiator, but whoever was working on it must have been too lazy to figure out how to actually mount it correctly. Doesn't even deserve one star. Could not locate wheel lock key in trunk & claims it took all day to remove wheel locks from tire. Car was left at 8:00 for a 10:30 appointment & they called me around 12:30 about the key & then @ 4:00 with estimate. I located key in trunk & would not let them do the work on my car. My family has been going to this car shop for the last 10+ years, and were always happy with them. Whenever I take my car on cross-country road trips (so far 3x), I always made sure to get it checked out and maintained here whenever I could. Let me give a couple examples to support my claim: 1. When my first car was leaking transmission fluid, we brought it here. They explained that fixing it would actually cost more than the car's value. So we decided not to fix it, and just drive it out a little longer (while slowly searching for a new one). The mechanic took time to show me how to check and add transmission fluid myself. 2. On several occasions, for minor noises, check engine light, etc - they inspected and did 10 minute fixes completely for free. Makes it a great experience knowing it's a really friendly family business. Having lived in New York, New Jersey, California - they still remain the only mechanic shop that I completely trust. In others I've been to, I felt that going there as a woman - other shops try to cheat you or treat you as an idiot (even if you have a masters in engineering!). Not these guys. They were always respectful, honest, hard working. And most importantly they take the time time to explain the cause of the problem, and their suggested solution. Overall - superb service! read more

I have been here a few times in the past and there was always a different manager. Today went there again and was pleasantly surprised. The new manager Luis Rosa is very nice and explained all needed repairs and then repairs needed down the road. Not everything needed to be fixed at that moment. I had nails in two different tires and only had to replace one. They didn't try to force u to buy anything that was not necessary. I hope Luis stays here for a long time. I've had work done here before, with no issues. But this time around I had an experience similar to others. I went in for the $19.99 oil change. They took close to an hour to do their "courtesy check" and found $1100 worth of work that supposedly needed to be done. After I complained (no cursing, no yelling) that the oil change should have been done first, at the time of my appointment, I received a very hostile phone call from the manager telling me, "Don't come back here." So this little old lady has been banned from Midas for expressing an opinion. read more

Have been here a few times. Today the tech was honest and told me up front that it might be hard for them to reproduce the engine light problem during the road test, which it was. They had to do some research about how to fix the problem and provided a best-guess fix, but didn't charge me since they weren't sure whether the light would still come on or not. No Stars!!!!! Just awful!!! I brought my Volvo in for an oil change. First, they told me it would cost more than the advertised price as my car took more oil than allowed. What they did NOT tell me, was that they were using the wrong oil for my car, as my car needs synthetic oil. (Bate and switch advertising) I recently took it back to them complaining that since they performed the oil change, the engine sounds terrible and has been running poorly. They took a look at it and told me that "Oh, we used the wrong oil when we did your oil change". Then they said that they weren't sure why it was performing and sounding the way it was...maybe it was the alternator. Really?! With 70,000 miles on the car?! -- They took no responsibility for their mistake nor did they offer to rectify the situation. I didn't realize that I needed to tell them how to do their job correctly!!!!! I will be taking my care back to the dealer to determine what's going on. IF in fact it was Midas of Flemington's error, they can expect legal action for their incoompetence. read more

I made my appointment and was told it would take 2 1/2 hours to finish. I decided to wait and told the service desk that I would be waiting. After 3 1/2 hours, I notice that no one was working on my car. I asked the gentleman at the desk how much longer it would be and he said "said it's being worked on and wouldn't nit be much longer." I told him that no one was working on it. He became belligerent and said "I told you not to wait." I was annoyed and asked why he would pull someone off my car when he knew I was waiting? He said I should not have waited. I sbaid it is my fault that you stopped working on my car? He then reiterated that it was my fault for waiting. It has now been over 4 hours and counting for a job I was told would take 2 1/2. The worst party is that it's my fault!! read more
