I had issues with my battery so checked local places on where I could get it replaced on a Sunday. I see Goodyear is open Sundays for "your convenience". I call to check and the recording says they are open Sundays 9-5. I make an online appointment and receive a confirmation. I drive over and they are closed. There are no hours posted on the door to see if maybe the hours have changed. There is not sign saying they were closed because of some other reason. If they can't even get their hours correct on their website, answering machine or Yelp, what's that say about their attention to detail? read more

I recently had to register my car to NJ and had to change my plates that had been bolted on for almost ten years. Unfortunately, the bolts were so rusted that they broke in half inside the holes when I tried to remove them! I was straight up panicking because it's mid-day Saturday and I have a big work trip on Monday, so I was really stressed that I wouldn't be able to get my license plate on in time for that. I called up Goodyear and spoke with Steve, who told me to bring my car in and they would try their best to drill the bolts out. Didn't make any promises, just assured me that they would see what they could do for me, because it could end up being a tricky job if they were really stuck, which I appreciated him being honest about. When I got there, I was greeted immediately and they started working on it right away. They kept me updated every step of the way and were super friendly. It was a tough job and they were really stuck in there, but eventually they were able to drill the rusted bolts out and they went ahead and put the backplate on for me with brand new bolts! I was so relieved and blown away by how they literally jumped into action to help me--the service level at this place is incredibly impressive, I have never had this experience at any other auto shop before. Then on top of that, there was no charge to get the bolts out. They took a situation that was very stressful for me and made it right in less than two hours. I just want to thank Steve and the rest of the team for what they did for me. I will definitely be going back for all future services--they've got a lifelong customer in me now! read more

I just moved in the area, I am glad that I have found a very reliable and honest mechanic.

Waiting area is kind of sparse (but functional) - when I walked in I was like whoa, but there are a couple of chairs and a flatscreen (remote provided). Based on previous reviews I was a little concerned about the wait time and having an adequate area to use my laptop and phone, but there is a laptop bar by the window with plenty of USB and power supplies and there is complimentary coffee and water. The floor manager was friendly to the point, and made sure that the price we discussed on the phone for four tires, was what was reflected on the store estimate. Customer service was a little lack luster, felt like it was kind of being forced. Overall the price was competitive and they were running a special on free installation for tires - so I thought it was fair. There was a little pressure to up-sell on a couple of additional items, I've been under a car before so I wasn't having it - but I could definitely see other customers getting pressured. Wait time is longer than usual, two hours - so bring work, a book, a ride or get comfortable. In all, I really didn't see this location as being any better or worse than a lot of other service centers - I needed tires, an alignment and thats all I needed. read more

I was really just going to get tires and maybe an oil change. I was met by Steve and he was a great help. When I dropped off the car, he immediately called to make sure my tires would be delivered the next morning. I told him I wanted a full synthetic oil change as well and he hooked me up. He didn't try selling me on everything under the Sun so I told him some other things I wanted them to check. To myvsurprise some of the things were not an issue but they were coming up on the time to replace. The price was right and they did everything pretty quick. I just drove it home and it felt like when I drove it off the lot. I highly recommend them and would deal with Steve in the future as he is an honest Joe. read more

This is the second time I've brought my car to be serviced. Two months ago I had my tires changed. They were very communicative and they gave me a competitive price AND they were able to get the tires delivered same day so I could just get it done. This past weekend I brought my car in after my local gas station had recommended getting my rotors and brake pads changed. They called to say I didn't need new brake pads and the shuddering I was experiencing could be fixed by resurfacing the rotors. My car is running like new and it was all done in two hours while I ran errands locally. They are awesome. Would highly recommend. read more

Had an extremely stressful day earlier this week, and for the first time in my life I got a flat tire. I was calling around different repair stores to get my tire fixed or replaced and had zero luck getting help. I called Goodyear and an extremely kind man named Peter offered to take a look at my tire and see how he could help... only a short time later that day my tire was fixed and my day became ten times better.. Charged over $100 for a diagnostics of my car's Air Conditioning. That's fine, except they didn't conduct a diagnostics worthy of $100+ dollars. Was told that the compressor won't engage and that they tried turning it by hand it appeared to be ceased (not the case)...First of all, a proper diagnostics would have narrowed it down to the source or sources by charging the system to a level where the compressor would engage. Then using a multimeter, work through the switches and the relay, as well as checking the continuity of the AC Coil. This BS mechanical work is the reason why many people like myself are doing their own repairs. I should really get my money back! read more

Haven't had any issues in the year or so I've been going for regular maintenance. I do think that they can be a little over the top with selling, at times. It seems like they're calling/coming over to talk to me about something 2-3 times each visit. But overall, about what I expect from a service center. The only real complaint is that I feel like they're a little slow sometimes. It takes them an hour or more to do just an oil change on my car. I went to God Year in Flemington for a few oil changes and didn't have a problem until they started rotating my tires. I started noticing my steering wheel vibrate at higher speeds. I had to bring my car back twice for them to 'fix' it, free of charge... HOWEVER, even after they fixed it twice I still felt vibrations at times and thought it as my imagination. Well, I'm a PA resident and getting my car inspected, as I write this I was just told that whoever put my tires on, did it backwards!! My inspector recommended I take it back to get it fixed and I said, No way. I no longer trust Good Year to take care of my car if after having to take my car back twice they still couldn't get it right! read more

I had a traction control light go on in my suv and took to Petty's for troubleshooting. They cane back saying I needed a new front hub costing $650. After doing some of my own research, I asked if it could be just the wire connecting the hub to the traction control system. They said no, it was one unit. Again, my own research told me otherwise. So I told them not to do anything, I found the wire online for $30 and had it put in and guess what, it was all that was needed. I saved over $600! Clearly either the mechanics are incompitant or the management/owner are completely dishonest and just want to rip customers off. read more

Went here for a new tire and had nothing else wrong with my car left with grinding and all sorts of noise coming from my breaks/ tires. I went back again to complain the next day and he had the nerve to tell me I needed new breaks when I had just gotten all 4 done with in the last two months. And not to mention that everything was fine before I came here. You know the horror stories you hear about going to places like this and how they tell you that you need all this work done or they break more to get your money. Well it just happened to me. Outstanding service. I got a new set of tires and a wheel alignment. I made my appointment online (with an estimate) and the in-store estimate was more because of a computer discrepancy, so they matched the online price without any arguments. Then they noticed my tires had some bubbles from pothole damage and advised me to get the road hazard coverage since they're low-profile tires. I was already convinced, but then the manager said he was going to just give me the road hazard coverage for no extra cost because he didn't want me to risk driving around with bubbles in my tires and he felt that if I had the coverage I'd be more likely to get them fixed than if I didn't have the coverage. There's no explanation for this other than that this guy is simply a good person and he really cares about his customers. All that AND they were short-staffed due to the holiday and I never would have noticed. I'm definitely gonna be a regular customer here. read more

My wife took her car here to get JUST an oil change. They were told NOT to touch anything else. They decided to remove wheels from the car for whatever reason. After they reinstalled the hub caps wrong, 2 have now fallen off the car. The ONLY reason her car was taken here was because had a Goodyear rebate card from a set of tires that were just installed less then a month ago. Which they told her they need to be rotated.
