I told my girlfriend to take her car to the local Midas in carmicheal in which she had a coupon for for a conventional oil change for 19.99. When she got there to drop off her car a technician walked out and greeted her and took her name said we have you for an appointment at 1 but "ooh that car takes alot of oil" her camry takes 5.5 quarts which she already knew from dealing with the roseville toyota dealership that she usually goes to. The technician said your car takes synthetic and "FORD" doesn't even carry that anymore? Ford? Really if your gonna mansplain and try to upsell a woman then at least know your facts. First off, alot of oil? is a half quart more rly alot of oil second, it's a camry not a Taurus third your sauce is weak and you should get legit technicians. read more

Went there this morning with no appointment based on I had a really bad metal to metal sound from my passenger side tire. Left my car for a few hours and got a call from George it was a pebble between my break pads and let me tell you I was glad thought I was gonna have to pay a lot to be fixed. So glad it was a easy fix and George was great! Glad I decided to use my neighborhood Midas! read more

They are reliable for oil changes, but every time I take my car there for tire-related issues I am disappointed. This time it was plugging a flat. The plug failed after a day with little use. read more

they fixed my repairs and followed up Arron was a great cust service representative

I just have to say that I have never had my car repaired here however, I sure do make it a point to drive past them just to read their signs. My goodness that make me happy and even more so they make my day. Thank you so much for putting a smile on our faces at such a yucky time. I will most definitely bring my car down to you to get my brakes done when I feel more comfortable going out in this mess. You guys rock!!!!!!! read more

My passenger window was stuck down. I called the dealer who quoted $200 for the diagnostic fee, alone. I then called Midas in Carmichael (where I've taken my car for repairs for some time). They said there would be no fee -- they'd take a look and let me know what it would cost. I dropped it off and they were able to fix it that day and didn't charge me anything. That's the kind of shop owner Kirk is. I highly recommend them. read more

George is awesome. His staff is great. They provide superb service. Really helpful. If anything just come by and read their street sign. Definitely entertaining when driving by. read more

SCAM ALERT !! I went in and paid for a " inspection " because my car kept pulling to the left. They gave me a list of things to replace YET after spending over $500 replacing what they said i needed so that my car would no longer pull to the left....... it still pulls to the left !!!!! So i asked they guy at the counter what the hell ? and he says " at this point , id be guessing ". a $500 guess is what i got . HUGE RIP OFF ! read more

Professional. Reasonable. Customer satisfaction. These guys are on point. I drove 300 miles just to get my vehicle serviced by them.jk. But I would..... Georgey porgey runs a great operation. He actually called other mechanics to compare prices and recommended some other places that are cheaper..(I stayed because he was being honest at least).. Very courteous and up front. I will be coming here in the future!! read more

Excellent service; good prices and very timely. Appreciate the honesty. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. Thank you! read more

neended electrical work done and they said they could do the work. they waited until 15 minutes before scheduled pick up time to call me and say they didn't do the work but still charged me for oil brakes when i said only do it if the electrical could be fixed. Owner George very rude read more

Went there for a tire repair and they wouldn't help me. I was second in line and said they were too busy to help me. They were rude and not at all helpful. Won't being going to Midas ever again!!! read more

I came in for an oil change and tire rotation, but they did not rotate my tires. Thankfully I had a yellow mark on one of my tires and noticed it had not been rotated. The manager Dan acknowledged the mistake but did not offer any compensation or free services other than offering to do the original job. I will never return here and do not trust them to do what they say they will. read more

I had a hitch installed on my 2016 Ford Flex. George and the mechanics were great! Quick, efficient service. Price was perfect, too. Definitely recommended! read more

This location is great. I have been coming here for over 10 years for oil changes and tire rotations. What I really appreciate about the location is the customer service. The staff is always very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. Today for example I was going to leave my Jeep, and walk home so they could have it for the afternoon. As I was leaving, George checked to see if there were any bays open. There was an open bay, so he asked if I was okay with them doing the work right then. I of course was happy to start immediately. My oil change and tire rotation were completed within 40 minutes. Thanks read more

I was at the post office across the street and one of the idiot lights started flashing. I knew I was overdue for an oil change. They were super nice and didn't try to upsell anything, nor did they to scare me into repairs I didn't need. It is nice to find a place you can trust close to home. Update November 16, 2012 I visited again yesterday for the next oil change. They told me my tires were cracked. After 7 years and about 62,000 miles, that seems reasonable. I'll have to have the tires added the day before Thanksgiving. Not the cheapest set of visits but I guess better than a scary blowout on a long drive to Southern California. read more

I hate doing anything with my vehicle. These guys made it so easy! I just came in for an oil change, but their price, efficiency, and attitude make them my first call when I need something else. Many thanks for the great service! read more

I have been taking my cars here for years and previous to that always enjoyed their funny messages on the marquee. Friendly and super helpful. Honest!!! These guys and gal are the most honest and trustworthy shop I've been to. I've never felt pressured or uncomfortable here. I will be a loyal customer for life! Thanks for being you! read more

A couple months back I needed to get my brakes done on my Honda and I decided to take my car to this location, that was a mistake. When I pulled up and they asked what I needed, the older man that works there was rude and not personable, told me he has no time and MAYBE can fit me in later in the week. I totally understand being busy, but his tone and how he addressed me was very cold. Makes sense now though because their board that they write messages on for the passing drivers to see is supporting Trump. Businesses... don't get political please‍ read more

As a senior female it is difficult to find help sometimes. I needed the air in my tires checked for an upcoming trip. I didn't know how hard it would be to find, air! Saw the friendly Midas sign and pulled in and asked if they could help. Robert was busy working on his job but stopped to check my tires. Appreciate him and Midas. Thank You. read more

1 year ago i gave them a bad review, Came in the Morning, Gave them the Benefit of the doubt. Still horrible. Just needed an oil change and tire rotation. 30 minute Job, and They let 3 Cars ahead of me. Bunch of Monkeys Running around. 3 workers, 6 Bays. Pathetic read more

We chose this place for it's good reviews and it's proximity to the house. I took my car here on a Friday and received very professional and kind service. My issue was that it shouldn't have taken over 4 hours for an oil change and replacement of two brake pads. I just wish that they had been straight up with me when I arrived and told me that my wait would be lengthy. I would have figured out another plan. After 1 hour, they gave me a far off estimate on the time. They also don't have wireless internet in the waiting room. read more

Had a screw in my tire fixed here last week. I didn't think it would have been fixed with a cheap plug instead of the correct way of patching a tire. A week later it was flat again on my brand new car. The technician denied liability and said it wasn't his plug that was leaking on a "brand new car" and that I should have it fixed at the dealer. Well I just paid midas last week.... I asked "will you refund me because you can't fix the problem?" Their answer was no it's not leaking from the patch. Les Schwab fixed the tire and confirmed the leak from the plug... What are you going to do Midas? You lost me as a customer for life over something so small. Can't believe you won't stand by your work on such a routine textbook service! read more

Our family takes all of our cars (5) to this shop for all of our cars needs. Brakes, oil changes, tires etc. We have never been disappointed. George is the best. read more

I went here to get my oil changed and also paid extra to get my fluid levels checked. They get two stars for having reasonable prices and getting it done quickly. THE PROBLEM was they did not check my levels (which were very low) and they broke off the top of the oil tank cap and LOST it. I will not go back. read more

I had a warranty on my battery that I bought from Midas (at a different location). Took my car to two mechanics earlier in the the day who both told me I had a bad batter. Took my car in and explained situation to Midas staff, even had my receipt from when I bought the battery. The guy at the counter gave me a slimy feeling, similar to when you know you're being taken advantage of. He wanted to charged me to test my battery. I declined knowing full well that I've been told by other Midas locations that if I bought my battery from midas and base on the warranty they wouldn't charge me to test the battery and would replace if it was bad. The guy blatantly wanted to make a profit anyway he could and thought he was going to pull a fast one on me. I ended up going to the Midas off Arden, who had superior customer service and were honest. The Midas off Arden not only tested my battery for free, but pointed out other things they noticed about my car and gave me quote with no pressure to buy. WORD OF ADVICE, GO TO THE MIDAS OFF ARDEN. AVOID THIS MIDAS ON FAIR OAKS unless to want to be gouged and told embellishments to scam you out of cash for unnecessary work Anyways, if you take your car to O'Reily's or Auto Zone they also test for free. read more

This place has the best auto service. I would rather drive across town to come here then go to other auto shops. Unlike every other garage, I don't feel like I'm being ripped off here. It feels like they're honestly trying to help here and they aren't trying to sell you unnecessary parts or repairs. It's amazing! read more

We have brought our car here for service several times in the last few years. We brought in in on Thursday for brakes, an oil change, etc. The car actually ended up needed some extra help and they told us they would have it ready by Monday. We were a bit disappointed because we needed the car to visit relatives on Christmas day. The employee (Keith) ended up calling us a few hours later and said they busted out all the work with 3 of them working on our car to get the job done. I feel they went beyond what we expected of them and also did an excellent job on our car. Plus they usually have pretty funny stuff on their sign. I highly recommend taking your car here. It was a golden experience ;) read more

George and his crew are awesome! I've ditched the Audi dealership after spending way too much money and time there in exchange for poor service. The people at Midas are quick, friendly, and don't rip you off. I plan to bring my car here for everything that I can have fixed here. I've taken my car twice now and have been totally happy with the results and the service. I would recommend this Midas to anyone. You really should "Trust the Midas Touch!" read more

Went to this shop with a bad Alternator inspected by two respected specialty auto repair places. Even though I purchased the part from anther Midas, this shop refused to replace the part under warranty. A different Midas shop gladly replaced the part. This shop does not live up to the Midas guarantee. read more

I got brakes done here last week. I really felt they cheated me because I'm a female, but that's my opinion. The place reeked of cigarettes which shouldn't have been a surprise because there were 2 old farts in there shooting the sh*t the whole time I was there. They don't have the midas touch in my opinion. I recommend you search really hard for a fair deal before messing with these folks! I was happy with the work, but very unsatisfied with how much they charged me. They also took all damn day to put on 2 front brakes. WOW! They didn't even call me when they were finished. I happened to call them and suddenly my car was ready. read more

Originally took my Jeep to Sears for a screw I had ran over, they told me nobody would patch it for it was near the side. I came to Midas and they told me it would be no problem and they would patch it right away. Over heard other customers saying their prices are much better then other places and they are very trustworthy. I will definitely be back. read more

Come to meet the brain behind the funny sign sayings (George, the owner) and stay for the good service. I've had two times when I asked for a major repair that I thought I needed - and then had them suggest a smaller, much less expensive repair. Knowledgeable, friendly, and professional... What more could you ask for in a mechanic? read more

I Finally got a yelp account and now I can write my review. I brought them my car mu mom gave. It was a 1998 Saturn SL2. I went there for the oil change. I also asked the guy to check all the fluids and rotate the tires because that came free with the oil change. All I have to say is if you have a waiting room and and it has windows all around it make sure your employees do what they say will. I will never come back here. I got the oil and that was about it. I never got the tire rotation and never got my fluids checked. So yeah. Never got that which made me mad so I payed for the oil change and left. I would never recommend this place ever. read more

George and Keith at Midas have taken care of our cars for about 15 years. The cars are always fixed correctly and we have never felt pressured or dissatisfied with their service. In an auto repair shop honestly is the most important asset and they have that in abundance. read more

After being taken advantage of by my dealership, time and time again, I decided to stop in here. It worked for me that it is a locally owned small business. The customer service was over the top and the price was dramatically less than what I had been paying at the dealership and even at the shops that claim they specialize in my make of vehicle. I have now used this Midas 4-5 times for regular maintenance as well as little things like new wipers or headlight replacement. They are always very efficient and always go above and beyond to work with my schedule and my budget. I can not say enough good things about this business! read more
