So I checked with a place a friend recommended. California Transmission, being experts, said no transmission problem, only a small valve gasket leak. This inspection at no cost while being friendly and even helpful enough to give me the name of another business that could take care of my problem since it was not their area of expertise. Keep their name handy!!

I took my 335i in for a misfire in cylinder 4 and found a frayed wire leading to the injector, brought it here and was told the injector was faulty and needed to replaced for $800+the cost of diag so around $1000 total. I decided to just do the repair myself since i really just needed the issue diagnosed but the misfire and drivetrain malfunction hasnt appeared since and when i check the injector it looks like the frayed wire was repaired by the shop. Im glad the issue was fixed but it feels as if they tried to write a better story for an upsell on the service even after the fault was solved. The multipoint inspection was good and worth the price though.

I found them to be very honest and fair pricing (not the cheapest, but quality work). What has prompted me to write this review today is the experience I had with Justin on the phone a couple of days ago. My husband and I recently purchased a 2022 Hyundai Sonata. While looking through the owner's manual we noticed that this car specifically recommends spark plug replacement at 40,000 miles. We just hit that and and not wanting to void our warranty we called to arrange a spark plug replacement. To note, I could have done this myself, but again I don't want to give Hyundai any reason to say the engine failed due to improper maintenance. When I called to inquire about pricing, Justin immediately told me I don't need to change them this early. He then proceeded to tell me that Hyundai just recommends this to get people to spend more money. He told me he used to work for them and it isn't the spark plugs that is the problem with their engines but rather a rod. Look, I appreciate someone trying to save me money, but I also believe that when a car is still under warranty manufacturer recommendations should be followed. I probably would not have written this review except I saw Mary K's review and have to agree that Justin seems to have some kind of bias against Hyundai. I know their GDI engines were not great, but this is a newer model and it has a turbo engine and I was just trying to do what was right for the car. I ended up making the appointment with another trusted mechanic.

WOW!!! Replaced Transmission in 1 day!!!…read more I called around to find a good deal for replacing/rebuilding my truck's transmission, so I had a pretty good idea of turnaround times and prices, plus I'm shadetree mechanic. Called Liberty, spoke with Eric, and since he had my transmission in stock, he asked me if I could bring it in that same day, and he said it could be done within hours! (Didn't really believe that). I couldn't make it then, so I arranged early drop off next day. Dropped off in the am, and in the afternoon I get a call to let me know about other findings (rear main seal, one tranny mount, shifter cable) and that the truck will be ready for pickup around 4PM. WHAT??? I've NEVER, in over my 50 years of life and dozens of cars, had a shop give me these kind of timelines, and no BS. So again, I had to arrange getting there in time to pick up my truck, and drive off into the sunset, with a smooth, nice smelling, running/shifting, all gears 4L60E. My life was hardly affected, no need for rentals, ubers, missing work, grief, etc... Eric was all business, matter of fact, courteous, and gave me an UNBEATABLE deal and warranty, by MILES... It's just peace of mind that you hardly ever get from auto-shops, and honestly, you don't even get at times when you pay top $$$. I work on my cars, I've done engine/transmissions swaps, and I know the work that goes into it. This was a no brainer, my total cost was less than just a rebuilt unit from other shops! I still can't believe how these guys make it look easy, no doubt they're masters of their trade. So if you have any needs with your transmission, look no further. Best PRICE Best SERVICE Best TURNAROUND TIME Best WARRANTY Can't really ask for more... OH! He even threw in a 10,000 mile service in for free! A $200 value!!! I love these guys, no doubt they're my go to shop from now on. THANX ERIC and CREW!!!

Phong, the manager, went above and beyond from the very first phone call. In person, Phong was just as engaging, warm, and professional as he was on the phone. The final price came out just slightly over the estimate because they caught another small issue, but Phong took the time to explain exactly what they did and walked through all of his recommendations. Most importantly, Phong noticed that all four of my tires had dangerous cracks on the sidewalls from running into curbs during tight turns, and warned me they could blow out at any moment. I truly believe his sharp eye and honest recommendation saved my life! I already have an appointment at Costco this Saturday to get them replaced. The camaraderie with other customers, the thorough breakdown of my receipt, and the incredibly reasonable pricing make them stand out.
