I set an appointment prior to going to this location. But I decided to show up anyway just to see if they could fit me in prior to being my appointment being confirmed. They told me was going to take longer than it actually took and I was glad that they got me in immediately, even before the appointment. They do a comprehensive view of your car to tell you things that are wrong with it outside of the oil change which is what I went there for. So you can be ahead of the game and repair things before they break. My oil change didn't take very long. The unfortunate thing is right after my oil change the car started to overheat the next day, which is unexpected and unrelated. I was able to get an oil change and two lights repaired for about $100 this day. You can make an appointment online which makes it even more convenient. Wanted to take few moments to send Kirk the owner and Tim a shoutout for taking care of an issue that was brought to my attention with professionalism, kindness and making sure my car was taken care of. I had asked Kirk if everything else on the car was good from the routine check that was done on the car and gave me a thumbs up and showed on the checklist everything was good to go! I brought my car in for my routine oil change, I had an appointment and took care of my car in a timely manner for being short staffed which he expressed to me. I proceeded to leave and went to another place that I usually get my tire rotation from and as I was getting my car back from this place the gentleman explained to me that I had a exhaust leak because the smell in my car was extremely unhealthy and could possibly harm me. Waited til Saturday to contact, since I already spent $100 dollars on a Lyft getting home from work. "Jennife" or "yennifer" answers and said she'd have to hold the car until Tuesday to check it out. I said, since they f&&Jed it up." She claimed since I used the f word I "cursed her out" and wouldn't hear anything else I said. When I called back and explained that a single curse word isn't going to change their financial responsibilities to fix work they need to complete - especially when I had been a repeat customer! "Yennifer" or "Jennifer" kept talking over me. I don't even know if she heard that. I finally said, "fine. I'll get someone else to fix it correctly and get my money back from you through the courts." Tried to call back to get her name for the small claims suit, and she hung up on me. I have to give kudos to Carmichael Midas for the great work they do. They are always friendly, honest, and reliable. I have been going there for the last 30 years and the new owner Kirt and his team, especially Keith, are wonderful. Thanks to the crazy rough roads around here they have rebuilt three front suspensions and so many other repairs to my cars that I keep for a very long time compared to most people. They recently rebuilt the front end and cooling system to my 1962 Buick Skylark and keep it running in top shape. Those of us who love old cars love the fact that Midas can take care of all of them which is rare these days. Obviously I highly recommend Carmichael Midas! They either don't fix the problem or wait two weeks to actually figure out what's wrong with your car. Go elsewhere with your hard earned money, while you have the chance. So, I've been responding to an add campaign by Midas for a discounted oil change they've been pushing at me for two weeks now. Both times I hear crickets. No call back in spite of them saying they'll get back to you in an hour. What we have here is the same thing that's happening with Subway and a lot of other franchises that refuse to honor whatever corporate says. On the one hand, I can relate to a business that doesn't want to lose money to someone like me, who'll flush them down the toilet the next time a better deal comes up. About a month ago or so I ended up running over a pretty good size bolt so I called a few places before trying Midas and each place I called and went to was worse than the next. I was honestly dreading dealing with Midas because in the past my experiences at different Midas locations have not been great at all. I called ahead of time and let them know I had something stuck in my tire and the guy let me know it would likely need to be replaced and they could do it if the tire was in stock. I didn't ask too many questions since I called right before they were closing (literally 3 mins before) and he was still nice enough to answer so I made it quick and made my way over in the morning when they opened. I was greeted by a guy at the front, I think his name was Aaron?, and I let him know my issue. He was super friendly and asked to see my car so I showed him. He immediately called another guy over whose name I also forgot (so sorry!), he was an older gentleman with a long beard, and after looking at my tire for just a second he told me he'd take care of it right away. I was in and out in maybe 15 minutes! These guys were extremely fast and friendly. I was so nervous about going to Midas due to my experiences with previous locations, but this location was simply amazing. I cannot thank these guys enough, you don't even understand. Upon entering this Midas wearing a mask to protect myself & my mother in law who has stage 4 lung cancer from the COVID-19. I tell the elderly woman at the counter that I have a appointment she ask me if I confirmed I hadn't she gets rude. I told her I can just come back or reschedule. A manager comes out of his office & ask what's the problem she says no problem. Seeming upset that I was wearing a mask in his business He then says I'll beat him & beat him. The owner reached out to me and gave me the opportunity for them to make it right, even after the original warranty had ended. So it ended up that it all got worked out and my vehicle is fixed now. And I want to add that's a business and the mechanics do bend over backwards to get you taken care of and your car repaired when you're in a jam. I have read some pretty bad reviews here at Midas/Carmichael so after my vehicle had its catalytic converters stolen and I was informed it would take 3 months to get a new one installed my vehicle ended up at this business and those reviews concerned me! Well I was pleasantly surprised to find out the bad reviews here about Midas/Carmichael are total BS! The "older lady" a review criticized turns out to be a sweetheart! While I was at the shop this nice lady was putting together book bags full of school supplies to be given out the following Saturday to children in need! The guy at the desk, I believe his name is Kurt, did his best to comfort me after hearing how long the wait for the part is and he told me they would keep my vehicle securely stored until the work could be done and this was a big help to me! I am telling you this, the Midas in Carmichael is a friendly, capable business with a dedicated staff. This business is swamped with customers and seems to be a legit, standup place to bring your auto in for repairs! I have used this Midas for 9 years. My car is very low maintenance but this Midas always takes the best care of me as well as my car. Over the years they have inspected my old Volvo to make sure it was safe to sell to a teenager and they have done as little as just check the air in my tires when a message came on my dash. Every person there treats me like a VIP and I am so grateful for all of the work they have done for me. No matter how big or small the project, they complete the job efficiently and effectively! I can not say enough good things about this business! Their prices are more than fair and their workmanship is beyond amazing! As a single woman, I am so thankful to have found an honest business with employees that are trustworthy. I told my girlfriend to take her car to the local Midas in carmicheal in which she had a coupon for for a conventional oil change for 19.99. When she got there to drop off her car a technician walked out and greeted her and took her name said we have you for an appointment at 1 but "ooh that car takes alot of oil" her camry takes 5.5 quarts which she already knew from dealing with the roseville toyota dealership that she usually goes to. The technician said your car takes synthetic and "FORD" doesn't even carry that anymore? Ford? Really if your gonna mansplain and try to upsell a woman then at least know your facts. First off, alot of oil? is a half quart more rly alot of oil second, it's a camry not a Taurus third your sauce is weak and you should get legit technicians. read more
