Extremely frustrated from this horrible experience. I had my cataract surgery almost a year ago and I've had nothing but issues with my one eye. First they sent me to a retina specialist, which that particular issue cleared by increasing the amount of steroid drops. Next I saw a cornea specialist who found an issue that occurred because of the cataract surgery. He performed another procedure and I'm still unable to see clearly out of this eye and driving at night is almost impossible. I've been back to multiple appointments and nothing is helping. Now they are ignoring my calls to determine what is to happen next. In the interim, I tried to seek a second opinion and that doctor would not do anything and suggested that I go back to the original surgeon - stated my cornea is abnormally shaped. I've also went back to my insurance provider who also called and requested them to call me back - still no call. I've tried the last doctor as well as the office manager. In my opinion, I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I ended up at this facility due to a routine eye exam at another location who recommended this facility for cataract surgery. So I believed that they would only recommend a "good" place - not so much. Now mind you, I had no other issues with my vision - I'd had lasik years ago that was still working but was experiencing issues with bright lights when driving - which was attributed to cataracts. One more thing ... the troubled eye has problems staying open - so now I'm also fighting keeping it open while trying to work. Just horrible!! read more

Very bad experience at this practice Had cataract surgery with very bad outcome Never saw my surgeon again after surgery and asked to set up appointment with her with multiple requests . Was told they would contact her but she never saw me again since the surgeries. Just saw her optometrists and they gave many different excuses .Left with bad scarring on my left eye ( confirmed by another Dr) and I will need additional surgery Ended up losing my job as I am a Realtor and my team let me go as I could not drive long distances.Had to put my life on hold as my vision causing anxiety and feeling physically unstable when walking. Unable to drive distances as very low vision on my left side because of left eye . Was told That was not a problem and one of the optometrists said you are lucky to have one good eye . Did they forget that I came in with two good eyes ? Please research who you go to and be safe . read more

I started with Dr. Doyle about 25 years ago. The location has changed a few times and the practice has grown, but the doctors are always friendly and take good care of your eyes. My visit today was with Dr. Kelling, she's been checking me out in recent years. The office was very clean. The reception staff greets you warmly and everything seems well organized. The equipment used is up to date and they keep up with the latest technology. The techs and the doctors are great here, but be prepared to wait. read more

Back again today and have been waiting 40 minutes past my moms scheduled appointment time. If it weren't for my mom I would blaze the whole office. You mean to tell me that in 4-9 months that I have been bringing her here you haven't made changes so that the same stuff isn't reoccurring. That's terrible. Sometimes you need to make changes in office so that your patients are satisfied. It may mean not double and triple booking so you actually see your patients on time. You may lose a million dollars a year but your patients may be more satisfied and I think that is more important than you making more millions than you already are. Just my honest opinion. read more

Ive gone back and forth on posting this review for a few weeks now but the treatment I received was horrific. The doctor I saw was kind yet felt very rushed. Once I was given my prescription, I knew something wasn't right. My right eye has always been the worse eye yet on this prescription the left eye had the stronger prescription. (it was L-+1.50, R-+1.00). I have an astigmatism as well that he did not note. After I expressed my concern, I was told to just get the glasses and see how they feel. So I ordered glasses and when I got them, I could not see. I called into the office at 9am to try and have it resolved. No one returned my call until 5 (right before close) where the women questioned my intelligence and told me I was incorrect as the doctor said my left eye was worse. I said ok, can I come in for a recheck? she said yes but all our office people left for the day so ill have to call back tomorrow. In tears, I hung up and said no thank you. After all this, I decided to go to a different eye doctor who gave me the correct, stronger prescription of (L-+1.75, R- +2.50 with an astigmatism). I also filed with my insurance as they did nothing to assist me and do not deserve the payment. Maybe this place is good for surgery but if you're looking for a good eye exam, do not go here. I know my vision and at this age, I know which eye is my worse eye. I am truly in awe of how rude and careless the staff is. All I wanted was to be able to see and somehow they managed to send me home sobbing, confused and belittled. do not recommend. read more

My husband went there for an examination and the doctor was really nice and professional but the office is not. We have tried to reach the person that went over the glasses with him. We have tried to reach the office. We have had no calls returned and because of that we have to go elsewhere to get his glasses. It's a sad shame because the doctor is really good. They lose business because the people in the optometry department or the office don't seem to care or they would either answer the phone or call back. Since they don't do either we are going elsewhere. read more

I love Mid-Ohio Eye. I have gone here for years. If you book at the start of the day, there is generally not much of a wait. But, as with any professional office, you should leave yourself extra time. All doctors never know what they might encounter - especially with new patient visits. Dr. Koelling and her staff are professional and courteous. Her colleague saw my father for cataract surgery on both eyes. He's a tough customer and she managed to gain his trust and satisfaction. I made an appointment for a LASIK consultation and instead they gave me an eye exam for $104.10 and referred me to another office for LASIK, TLC Laser Eye Centers. I did not need the eye exam since I already had one two months before. They said, "oops, our mistake" but still charged me the $104.10. They advertise that they provide LASIK when, in fact, they do not perform LASIK operations. One of their doctors performs the procedure but it is at another office, another company: TLC. read more

I've been coming here for years and always had a great experience. Although the last few times I've been in there's always miss communication between the front desk and myself. I ordered colored contacts last week and was told they were in today. When I picked them up they were wrong and were never ordered, I'm very annoyed! read more

I have been here twice for an annual eye check. The staff and doctors are nice and do a good job. Just be prepared to wait for a long time in the waiting area and to be seen. No matter what time my appointment is on any given day, I have had to wait 40-60 minutes to be taken back for the initial exam and then even more to see the actual doctor. Like I said, they are great to work with as far as personal treatment and such, but have no consideration for your time. They are apparently more important and must double schedule or not schedule long enough appointments to accommodate the actual time it takes to see each person. read more

My initial experience resulted from going outside on a very windy Saturday AM when something blew into & embedded in my eye. I called my Ophthamologist, Dr. G in Ashland & the VM message said if this is an emergency to go to the local ER. I called Ohio Eye & was seen by Dr. Selser. He removed the debris without asking for payment & I wasn't even a patient, trusting me to pay later. My doctor is Dr. Marquardt who has excellent bedside manners is personable. Couldn't be happier! Just be prepared to wait a long long time. It's ridiculous. Always behind. You should not have to wait 2 hours for 15mn doctor time!
