Wow, this is an amazing facility now... state of the art, and with 4-5 new lifts including a new monster RV-capable drive-on heavy duty 4-post lift! THIS is what a great independent Sprinter shop should be! It goes without saying that Zoran and his team are very knowledgable, having decades of experience, and are especially skilled with Mercedes/Dodge Sprinter vans, and they care deeply about great customer service. He uses only genuine OEM parts from MB and my complete "Service A" appointment with all parts, filters, fluids and labor came at a price that was so much lower than the dealership quoted. All was done while I waited in their nice new lounge and was invited to watch any part of the service which interested me which was cool. I will say this, I have a couple of Mercedes/Dodge T1 Sprinters. I also have been a mechanic myself throughout my life, so I know something about what I am talking about. Saying that, I know there is a special knowledge base that is required for early 2002-2006 T1 Sprinter. So, I have been around the Bay Area for many years trying to find a mechanic 1. Who knows Sprinters and not just thinking he does because he works on other vehicles; 2. Who actually has a history with these vehicles; and 3. Is honest and will keep you in the loop about what is going on. I have found many (dozens) of shops that say they specialize in Sprinters over nearly 10 years. Only a couple knew anything at all. They could check codes, but after replacing part after part, couldn't solve the problem, sticking me with a huge bill. My worst experience was with Lino of West Coast Sprinter in Salinas - a personable smooth talker, but a total crook. He had my 2005 Sprinter for over 2 years and 2 engine replacements, and then denied responsibility. Twice he gave me vans that overheated with bad head cracks. He bought these engines from a supplier in Dallas Tx. The engines were bad, but Lino passed them on to me with a warrantee that was worth sh*t. Steer clear of West Cost Sprinter who I'm suing for fraud. After this experience, I took the van took the Van to Zoran at San Jose Sprinter/Mid Auto. He had heard horror stories as well about West Coast Sprinter. He found the cracks in the head, checked for any overheating damage and rebuilt the engine for a price that was half of what I paid West Coast Sprinter, and did it in less than a month. I wish I had known about Zoran in 2021 when I entrusted my van to the crook in Salinas. This guy Zoran knows his stuff. He is from a part of the world where mechanics know Mercedes and Sprinters, like American shade-tree mechanics know Detroit iron. He was fair and transparent with me. Gave me a estimate and then a real-time rundown of progress and any additional costs. I always felt that I was in good hands, and thoroughly trust Zoran. From a friend recommend me to MID Auto And I met Zoran I drop my Spinter van for a noise check, every time step on the gas, he recognized immediately when he heard the noise, it was fixed in next few days. I also asked him to check out engine light was on and need a Smog Test due, he starts trouble shooting and analyze what cause the problem, he did solve the problem, it just took a little too long to get the car back from the shop, it was 3 months and 13 days, I wish process could be speed up and I felt so frustrating in period of waiting to result, but I am glad the van is passed Smog. As we were frantically trying to figure out what to do, we JUST happened to drive by another westy that was parked outside this shop. We immediately turned in and I'm so glad I did. Zoran's Awesome. Ive been there two times and walked away happy each time. First visit was for transmission problems on my 2004 dodge sprinter 2500. Had it fixed in one day at a good price. Just stopped by again today to fix my A/C. Gave him a call and told him my issues and he told me to swing by. I hadn't arranged plans to be picked up and asked if he could start working on it right away and he had no problem with it. We were shocked and Zoran calmed us down by telling us what to do in that situation. He also helped with a lot of info throughout the whole process. He also showed us the detailed report of the car and explained to us the damage which told us that he was very experienced with cars, he also mentioned that he would not put in unnecessary checks or repairs which could increase the cost. The owner of this auto service is liar, I took my Benz to Mid Auto Service and I was told, that the Disc and Pad needs to be replaced. After leaving my car for couple of days, I got worried for not receiving any call. So after calling them couple of time Zoran, they owner told me that I can pick up the car the next day. As soon as I went the next day Zoran told me to pay without even looking at the car. I agreed! I give him the card, he looked at me and said "I don't accept cards, Cash Only" OKAY you are business and in the begging I was not told that. I requested ride and went to bank to get $400 cash. I paid him $400 in cash and he did not even give me a receipt, he told me that his receipt machine is not working. Now this is wrong, You said Cash i was okay with it now he refused to give me receipt. I left the auto shop with my car. The next day my car started the same issue before I took to Zoran. I went back to him with my dad, he told me he did not give me service. He is a liar. I called my brother and he recommend me to other auto shop. I was told that the Disc and Pad was only cleaned and the process does not take couple days. I was told it mostly take about couple hours or 24 hours max and I was charged a lot. This auto shop needs to be closed and reported to IRS I will report this place and never want any people who earn their money in a honest way to go here. read more

Few weeks ago, I couldn't start my Audi S4, the starter is gotten short and then something just burned out in the hood. Since I just did a maintenance at dealership in May so it's really confused me why my vehicle had problems such quickly. After a deep inspection at dealership again, they said I have to pay more than 13k to bring it back to normal... Therefore, I decided to tow my vehicle out from the dealership to other auto shops seeking more consultations. My car was making noise and needed to be fixed. It was Sunday April 2, and most auto repair shops close on Sundays or they open just do oil change. After searching for a while, I called MID Auto Service around 1 pm. Zoran, the owner said he was closing his shop, but would wait for me to arrive because he needed to hear the loud sound. While listening to the sound, he told me the car was not drivable before diagnose. He suggested he would drive me home, but leave the car there since it was dangerous on the road, and would work on it around 8 or 9 pm that night after his family commitment. Right after that I saw him opening up my car to diagnose the problem. Then I found out he had cancelled his family commitment, and stayed to work on my car. I was shocked with his decision and offer. He patiently showed me everything during his diagnose, why he did what, and so on, very proven ways to diagnose the car problem and the loud noise, while educating me about the car issue. He also didn't mind me taking pictures of the bad parts that caused the problems. He gave me a rough quote of about $350 for both parts and labor for a 3-hour job. The total repair charge for parts and labor was not even enough based on his labor rate. His price was low; but the job was good and thorough. Then extra parts of the car were replaced with no extra labor cost, because he said he had it opened already. In the end he actually spent extra time to make sure my car ran well. That was his whole afternoon gone, more than 3 hours. Unlike many auto mechanics, he is not pushy to sell extra service and products to make more money. I myself had experienced recently two incidents when an auto dealer and an auto repair shop tried to rip me off, totaled to over $3000. My family checked on the parts suggested to be replaced because they were leaking, and said they could not be leaking because the outside of the parts was dry. Zoran is very knowledgeable. He actually let two homeless men sleep in his extra cars, because he said, "I have so many." What a kind-hearted man! I found out in brief conversations with him that "honesty" and "help" are some of his important virtues in life. I also got to know he is such a family man with strong family values. I really appreciate his sacrifice on a Sunday and cancelling his family commitment to help a stranger like me, and also his thoroughness in working on my car. Then I had also avoided the hassle of a weekday repair that would leave me with no car to drive to work. Auto mechanic is the doctor of cars. In my opinion in a way a "mechanic" is more important than a doctor. We can go to the "hospital" for health emergencies if we don't have a doctor, but we would not know where to go for car emergencies if we don't have a trusted auto mechanic. I believe "Integrity" is the basis for building good business. But going out of the way to help is not easily found anywhere. Zoran is my #1 mechanic/auto body I go to for my e46 BMW. After about 2 years of ownership, the paint was peeling because the previous owner had done a cheap paint job. Last week I took it to Zoran and got the hood, bumper, and passenger side panel redone. The hood and bumper were a lot of work, but Zoran covered the job and did it for a great price. He even included the passenger door with no charge because it was chipping. He's also the best for getting your oil changed for a reasonable price as well, and he also uses authentic BMW oil.
