The screw had come loose and hit the ground, causing it to sag and there was potential for more damage. I had to emergency stop by Kim's auto body in Cupertino and the kind receptionist lady was able to help me secure a diagnosis in 15 minutes. Another lady was able to help me remove the panel as a temporary measure until I was able to get it replaced. I had already scheduled with Tesla the next day and needed it quick and was unable to do my replacement with Kim's. They didn't even charge me for the removal of the front panel on a last minute notice and I had offered to pay for their time. It was a quick panel removal and she said don't worry about it. There was damage done on my drivers side and door was jammed shut from the collision. I picked up my car today after it being in the shop for almost exactly a week, and I was so impressed by the quality of work. It didn't look bad, so I signed a waiver with my insurance company to not have it repaired, then my insurance company dropped me. The damage was worse than I thought. I took my car to Kim's Auto Body, and I was going to pay $3500 to fix it, but James said "Let me try to get your insurance agent to cover it" I laughed and said "they dropped me." Initially they has some trouble color matching the paint because of the PPF. So instead of doing whatever they wanted, they called me and we discussed about the different options to do. He does not try to upsell or milk anything from you or the insurance. I was burned by a previous shop who was an acquaintance of my close friend. They cut corners and were not very responsive. I had to put in a lot of work to contact insurance on their behalf. I had none of these issues at Kim's auto body. BTS said it best... it was "smooth like butter!" Once James had possession of my car, he did everything from A to Z without any assistance from myself. Jason reached out after I sent over a generic estimate I received from my insurance. They ended up doing a detail inspection and found more damage underneath the rear bumper. He ordered original parts from Lexus, collected the check we got from insurance and billed them the rest. After a couple of days we got our car back and the was fully detailed.
