My 2008 VW Passat is way overdue for a full service besides the regular oil change. There were serious known issues like oil housing leakage but I kept postponing it until this year I finally decided to fix them all. David did a very thorough inspection for the car and showed me in person where some of the issues are. When he heard that I have some backup oil in the trunk and sometimes would backfill the oil a little for emergency, he kindly checked my backup oil and shared the knowledge and suggestions for me to choose the right oil to my engine. After the inspection and oil change, he provided me a very detailed estimation for fixing all issues with breakdowns. Although the overall cost for the full fixes are high as expected, due to my car's condition, I'm confident with David's knowledge and his skills and decide to do the services with him. BTW, he actually offers 3-month no interest financing plan to help with the cash flow. When I dropped off the car for the full fixes, he once again explained to me what he's going to do and why those things need to be fixed and how long they will last. He's always patient and communicative, either in person, on phone or via email. 1. unclear quote: quote did not include everything. When I confirmed, he had orally said yes but afterward he said NO. 2. overpriced parts and labor: higher than other shops as a result. He offered kind of flat rate type of quote and said this quote include everything. But as a result there were several missing items and all job was not done, especially difficult job was deleted as a result and he conclude it miss-communication 3. I originally brought my 2006 Mazda 3 here due to an issue with the transmission. I had taken it to a couple other places and they were either unable to assist or their prices were astronomically high. I found Nasseri Auto Tech on Yelp and gave them a call. David was able to get my car in right away and did a significant amount of diagnostic work "off the clock", so to speak. It ended up that my transmission essentially needed to be all but rebuilt. This was costly, of course, but it was a reasonable price. Much less expensive than I had anticipated given the amount of work involved. A year or so later when my car was having issues passing it's smog test (for no legitimate reason might I add), David came to the rescue again! Once more, he told me to stop by right away and had the issue fixed, the car smogged and the information submitted to the DMV, all in about an hour. Goes without saying that Nasseri Auto Tech is now my go to mechanic for any issues with my car. I'm grateful I have someone I can trust with the maintenance of my vehicle!
