I want to be totally honest and transparent with this review. My eyebrows to begin with aren't sparse. I just hate doing any form of makeup. So waking up with my eyebrows "done" was my main goal. Ana, the owner did mention to me that I'm not the optimal candidate for this procedure, but I still went ahead with it anyway. She was friendly, followed COVID protocols and gave me clear instructions on how to take care of the brows. My biggest issue is that Ana did not follow the natural line of my eyebrows to create my shape. She pretty much shaved off the tail of both eyebrows and created the standard microblading shape. So now, from the pics, you can see how my hair grows and where the micro shading was done. It's a bit frustrating. It's only one eyebrow, but it does make me feel self conscious :( read more

Beware this unhinged individual. It's clear Anna suffers from psychological issues/mood disorder. It's very likely she will change your appointment time and refuse service depending on her current state of wellness. Several other Yelpers have left negative reviews for her conduct and they are spot on. Read on for the details. I had messaged Anna via FB 1.5 months before my appointment to discuss the details of the 6D service with 6 week touch-up (which I purchased through Groupon). She texted me 3 days before my appointment to confirm the date/time and to discuss medical related questions. The appointment was for 11am. The day of my appointment it was clear there were issues. At 9:40am she texted asking if we could move the appointment to 12:00. I replied at 9:41 "11 is better for me. Is there a problem?" She replied at 9:42 "There is no problem". I replied "Thank you, see you at 11". Anna then texted me at 10:36am that she wouldn't be there until 11:25am - even though she had previously said there wouldn't be a problem with 11. I didn't make any issue out of this and simply texted back "Ok I'll be there 11:30 instead" to give her time to settle in before I arrived. At 11:19 I texted her asking where I could park. I then called her at 11:26 since I hadn't gotten a response to the text. She didn't pick up when I called. At 11:30 she texted back with where I could park. The makeshift space she uses is in a strip mall and doesn't have any signage/business name on it. As soon as I walked in the business, before any words were spoken, Anna focused her eyes on me and let out a heavy dramatic sigh. After this exaggerated sighing, she said nothing, no greeting whatsoever. While still in the doorway I asked if she would like me to put my mask on (since businesses have the option now in NY) and she replied with a curt "Yep" and nothing more. At this point I'm wondering if it's possible this is a different person standing before me and not Anna - because I couldn't believe a business owner would possess such a rude demeanor. After putting my mask on I approached and asked "Hi, are you Anna?" to make sure. She said "Yep, what are you here to have done today?" and took out a clipboard. I was wearing my mask so I projected my voice to be heard and said "We had spoke about the service through FB messenger and texts. As a reminder, I chose the 6D service because you had explained to me it's both microblading and shading". After these TWO SENTENCES Anna cut me off and exploded with "I don't like the way you talk. Saying that you are reminding me is how a teacher talks to a student. You come here to make your eyebrows beautiful and you talk like this? I will not be giving service." Recall that I purchased the service through Groupon and had already paid for it in full. After her tirade, Anna begins playing on her phone/ignoring me, with me standing in front of her. I then said "I didn't like you being late, but I didn't reprimand you or cancel the appointment. Can we move on from this? I came all the way from Queens to Westbury." She again says "No I apologized for being late already. I won't be giving any service. I will cancel your appointment." and goes back to sulking in a chair and playing on her phone again. Since she wasn't returning my money on the spot and I had already paid $300, I told her I would need to contact the police to make a police report of the incident. While I was on the phone with the police they asked for the business name, which I honestly wasn't sure of because the space had no signage. When I asked Anna the business name she didn't answer and continued ignoring me and playing on her phone, like the unprofessional and immature adult she is. While waiting for the police to arrive I looked up to see if Anna was still playing on her phone. She saw and screamed at me "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?" At that point I was tired of being bullied and I replied with, "You couldn't tell me the business name but you can ask what I'm looking at? How unprofessional and petty." The police arrived, took both our statements, and gave me the case # for the incident. Anna confirmed to the police that she was denying me service that I already paid for. I will be using her statement to ensure I am fully refunded. Unfortunately I am out the mileage for a wasted trip from Queens to Westbury (and back) when gas is at an all time high. I can't speak to her talent/skill, but there's no way anyone should risk interacting with an individual this unstable and unprofessional. read more

As of 7/28- The business owner doesn't like constructive criticism and resorts to online bullying instead of improving Business practices. Please beware!! This occurred on INSTAGRAM including my name & location. Cheaper is not always better. I can only review based on my experience. I'm a repeat customer But today was a major disaster. Made an appointment for today 12pm and upon arrival (and waiting outside for 10 minute) was advised shop is closed via Facebook messenger. Been coming to same aesthetician for 3 years without issue. I would think as a repeat customer my contact info would be on file but apparently it's not. Disappointed but hoping there's some resolution in the near future. I'll edit my post then. Anna was an absolute sweetheart. She walked me through the entire process of getting my powder eyebrows done, took the time to answer my questions, and was very diligent with her work. I did the Microblading with Ana last year. I also referred people to her. Then comes my one year touch up, she increases the price from 100 to 170 and when I ask her why it's too high. She answers me in a rude and unprofessional tone saying her prices changed. However, when I initially signed the contract it wasn't the price she gave me. The. Telling me she gave me a discount when I clearly got a Groupon and I tipped her well. All of her reposses are rude and I will be posting screenshots of her rude answers as a proof. I cannot trust someone who doesn't care about her client to do my eyebrows and I will be asking people to go away from her. Ana is a magician! She truly does a perfect and amazing job! I love how patient she was and how she left the numbing cream on longer because she knew that I didn't have a high pain tolerance. It didn't hurt at all, and this is coming from someone who can't tolerate any pain! My brows look amazing!!! I don't have to put makeup on them anymore. I'm very happy! She is very professional and uses a blade that is disposable. She NEVER uses the same blade twice for different people. Each time I came in, she showed me a sterile clean and new blade in an a new packaging and tells me that she will throw it out once I'm done. I have finished my touch up and I feel amazing! Thank you Ana! For those who are hesitant on going to Ana, don't be. You won't regret going to her. Just make sure you call for an appointment ahead of time and ask questions of pre and post care. Shame on the person who wrote a review about a price increase of 20 dollars. It's called owning a business and sometimes having to raise your prices to make money. Her responses to you weren't rude at all- keep Groupon shopping if you prefer cheap prices over good service! Anna does an amazing job at what she does, is detailed in her work and listens to your wants and concerns.
