He came back with a quote and it was A LOT cheaper and letting me know that I didn't need to get the other items listed on the original quote from the other company. Zach and his team came in and finished up in 3 hours! Zach showed me the picture before and after. Explained what they did and why. VERY professional, personable and courteous. Didn't get the creeps or feel that they were doing things half a$$ed. These are the types of guys I would trust with my mom - meaning they wouldn't scam her or do anything shady. DEFINITELY go with with team vs the other big company. This is a family run business so the wait is a bit longer (smaller crew) but viewing the quality of work and the honesty makes up for it. I'm seeing the other reviews about pricing ... Go to the larger company (that's well known in this area) and see how much the difference is..... It was HUGE for me. If I could give them more than 5 stars then I would!!!

BEWARE! (The only reason that I am giving SMOKESTACK a 1 is…read morethat I am not allowed to give a zero.) Over a year ago they quoted my wife a price to clean out the little pipe/flue that goes from our fake fireplace to the outside: $135 The guy that came to fix it did precious little of value. He took the fireplace logs apart and could not get them back together AND our fireplace didn't work anymore. He said that Zach would come out to put them back together and he charged my wife $250(ish). When my wife asked why so much he said that the difference was for Zach to come back and put the logs together (THAT HE HAD TAKEN APART!) (They really played my wife!) When Zach came over, he seemed in a big hurry, like he had better things to do. He tried to put the logs back together. (Part of it fell off the next day.) He tried to fix the fact that it wouldn't even start after his worker broke it when Zach was done it worked for 3 and a half minutes, just long enough for Zach to get out of our driveway. I called him a day or two later and he acted like it wasn't his concern anymore. I haven't heard from them since. I've never given a negative review before, but I would feel rotten staying silent. while this company rips people off like they do.

Twice, they just talked me through fixing the problem myself at zero charge. Both times they were spot on. They also walked me through getting warranty work that a contractor was trying to get of doing, again, they were spot on. They knew every trick they were trying to pull to get out of doing it. Free advice saved me a bundle of money again. The only time they actually came out to service my furnace, the technician spent an hour troubleshooting and found that the blower fan wasn't installed properly. He fixed the issue and only charged me for the service call. You don't find honest businesses like these guys very often. They could've attempted upcharging me for things I didn't need, but never even tried. Just good honest people that know their business well. I'll continue using them in the future for sure.

I will definitely keep Cabinet Express in mind for future Cabinet needs and I can highly recommend them.

We called them again to powerwash our house, but when I came home to see their work I noticed they did not even use a cleaning solution just water.  Yes they rinsed our house with plain water. The next day I called the owner Matt and he gave us his apologies and refunded our money. After getting such poor service I ask Matt to take down our prior review by making more than 6 phone calls and at least 10 email messages over several months always getting an excuse on how he cannot remove the review. It is one thing to do a crappy job but when my wifes reviews are trusted by neighbors that also get sub-par results it makes me furious. So Matt... remove our review from your website and I will take down this review. Do the right thing. Thank You and God Bless.

I hired other companies before, spent money, and ended up with damaged plumbing and work I hated. And as a woman dealing with contractors, it felt like half the people I talked to just wanted to make a quick dollar instead of actually helping. Then I found Demetrious and his team at Construction Consulting LLC. They listened--really listened. They tailored my kitchen and bathroom to exactly what I wanted, not just what was easiest for them. They explained everything, respected my budget, and fixed issues caused by previous contractors. For the first time, I actually felt heard, understood, and taken seriously. I finally feel confident in my home again. So grateful for this team. We couldn't be happier with the basement remodel Steve and his team did for us. From day one, Steve…read morewas professional, easy to work with, and genuinely thoughtful about the whole process. He helped us work through a pretty complicated insurance situation with a lot of patience and clarity, which made a stressful process feel manageable. Once that was settled, he worked closely with us to design a space that truly fits how we live. It's now one of our favorite rooms in the house. What really stood out was how communicative and detail-oriented Steve was throughout the project. He didn't just show up and "do the job." He cared about the outcome and the craftsmanship behind every decision, big and small. He was responsive, hardworking, and didn't leave loose ends or unfinished details. The biggest differentiator, though, is that Steve actually enjoys custom work. Creative storage, layout challenges, statement features. He brings both design sense and practical building know-how, which is harder to find than you'd think. If you want more than a standard, cookie-cutter remodel and actually want something tailored to your space, Steve is the person to call. For the price, you get quality work and high integrity. We'd recommend Steve and his team without hesitation for projects big or small. Highly recommend if you're in the Lansing, South Lyon, Metro Detroit, or Ann Arbor areas.
