We had extensive work done between 2007 and 2010, paver patio with fire pit and siting wall along with steps to door wall. In the front we had paver walkway and steps to front door as well as retaining wall. We are definitely beyond our warranty but I can't even get them to look at the issues and give me a repair quote. The steps in the front and the back are unsafe, esp for a 61 yr old woman with severe arthritis. They have even driven right by our home while we were sitting on the porch and didn't stop. You have to wonder if they are so ashamed and embarrassed about their work that they can't even address the issues. I have left messages, told them we understand we need to pay for repairs but no response at all. So my only recourse is maybe they will read this and address the problems or just move on to some other unsuspecting homeowner. Nick and Michelle, we harbor no resentment but really, with the thousands of dollars we paid you, don't you think we would deserve better? My…read moregrandpa had awnings in the back of his house that were covered with years and years of moldy, yucky stuff (he's 96 and can't see if they are dirty or not). Anyway, we had a couple other window washers come out and give us quotes, and one of them attempted to clean our awnings, but after a bit over an hour gave up (but didn't charge us, which was nice). Jim Kinder came out, gave us a good quote, and worked his tail off cleaning these awnings. These awnings were much more difficult to clean than anyone had expected (including other cleaners who tried and failed), so it took him a little longer than he originally quoted... But he stuck to the originally quoted price. (my grandpa decided to pay him more anyway, since they did such a good job. Kinder was so set on sticking to his original quote that it almost seemed like he tried to talk us down from the amount we thought was fair!). All that, and they cleaned our windows too, which now that they are clean it is so much nicer to look out the back windows at the deer and other wildlife. Anyway, long story short, you cannot go wrong with Kinder; he does great work at a great price and holds to his word.

Since the installation, we have had a persistent standing water issue in our yard. I spoke directly with the building inspector regarding our deck project, and he confirmed that he reviewed the approved plans and thoroughly inspected every hole prior to installation. He verified there were no water pipes near the foundation and approved the work without issue. Davor, who was also involved, confirmed the same and noted that our sump pump drains properly away from this area. The inspector advised that the water problem is likely due to sprinkler placement and improper grading. Meadowbrook previously represented to me that the yard had been properly graded before the sod was laid, but based on both the inspector's findings and the conditions in my yard, it is clear that this was not the case. Despite repeated conversations, Meadowbrook has failed to take responsibility or provide a plan of action to correct the issue. This problem has been ongoing far too long and should have been resolved promptly. The amount of money that I spent is definitely not worth the value.

But Goodsell Concrete has done two jobs for me, both within the time promised. One was a stamped patio/parking pad that still receives high accolades from friends and neighbors. The second is a beautiful retaining wall that fixed a severe erosion problem that I was experiencing. Tony worked with my awkward location, making the projects so much less stressful. I also felt that the quotes for the projects done were within reason, and comparable to other quotes I had received when working with owners and not a paid sales staff. I was very pleased with their service and work, and would definitely contact them again should another project pop up.
