Once I got them, the lenses would come out at the top and then about mid June, the right lense fully popped out. I took them back in on July 14th asking if they could fix them. I was told that the lenses were too small and they needed to be sent back. They insisted that they would be expedited and that I needed to wear my old glasses with my outdated prescription in the meantime. I asked for a printout of my prescription and the tech said "you're gonna order glasses online?!" And acted as though it personally offended her. She provided me with the printout once I explained that I would need a back up pair in the event one pair was to break again. After 3 weeks of waiting for my "expedited" glasses, I called to ask about them. They advised me that they were in but just hadn't gotten around to calling me yet. I asked if I could just get a refund instead, and was advised that it was past the cutoff for a refund since the original appointment was in May. Even though I've had the glasses for less than a month, and here it is August. I won't be purchasing glasses from this place EVER again, but wouldn't mind seeing the doctor if needed.

They refused to send me my prescription via email. I thought that was strange, but I left work early to get the prescription so I could get the company paid safety lenses. When I arrived in person, they proceeded to tell me that my eye exam expired yesterday. Really!? They asked if I wanted to schedule an exam, and I said no, because they were being too difficult in sharing my information. A doctor should never withhold your information for any reason, and they were just trying to generate more business from me. I had planned to make an appointment with them soon but they ruined that relationship. I suggest you find another eye doctor and office that isn't focused so much on appointments but that really cares about your health.

I've never made an appointment because I've never had to. It actually says on their website that you don't have to make one even if you are there for an eye exam. That sounds odd to me, but there are rarely people in the waiting area when I go here. They are likely competing with the larger eye centers that pop up. They are quick and try to get it right the first time. Their optician has been fitting glasses on me for the 15 years I've gone here and I've never had an issue. Even though I'm only wearing these at work, they try to suggest frames that are comfortable and suit the shape of the wearer's face.

When I left I asked for the pd and the lady seemed annoyed because of course they want you to buy glasses there. When she wrote the pd down she wrote it extremely small and the 6 looked like a 1. Once I get home I start to shop around for my glasses when I notice there was no number for my left eye cyl and I knew something was wrong because that's my bad eye. I call them and question them about it and they contacted the doctor and sure enough they gave me the wrong prescription. They said sorry and sent me the correct one. So unacceptable. What If I hadn't checked my old prescription and noticed something was wrong and ordered a bad set of glasses. I would not recommend and will not be going back again. Nor will my kids or husband and I will tell my family as well. I should of known better few years ago they messed up my brothers glasses and put the prescription on the opposite eye. They explained that the doctor is not seeing patients after a certain date so I asked if the dr was leaving the practice. If that was the case then I needed to schedule with another doctor there. They kept transferring me back and forth between offices and put me on hold for a total of 35 minutes between transfers. The staff needs to be trained not only on procedures but on telephone etiquette and customer service. Update: found another doctor with a different practice, staff appears to be well educated on customer service. I called back to Houston Eye Associates and on hold for 5 minutes just to request my medical records be transferred to other dr, and to no surprise they did not know the procedure. Fast-forward to today, I have been going to Dr. Nguyen for the past 3-4 years! He is super friendly, authentic, and easy to talk to. I feel comfortable discussing my vision and any concerns with him. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are super efficient. During my last visit, I was in and out within 30 minutes for my full annual eye exam. They run all of the proper tests and check my vision thoroughly to look for any changes from previous years. Scheduling is super easy by phone - they usually have appointments within a 1-2 week timeframe. I will be continuing to go to Dr. Nguyen and Clearpoint Vision for my annual eye exams!
