In fact, I arrived for my third visit a little more than an hour early--due to another appointment elsewhere that went much more quickly than I expected--and expected to wait. Well, Dr. Scherl saw me early! I also want to mention the terrific layout of the office--modern, well-lit, clean...and the Food Network on the big-screen television in the waiting room. *smile) You cannot go wrong!!!!!

On more than one occasion, the doctor told us they had no more time to answer our questions because other patients were waiting. The overall experience was frustrating and upsetting, especially given my mother's age and vulnerability. My last dermatologist wanted me to go on Accutane, which I was against due to its severe side effects. My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Son, so I made an appointment as a last ditch effort before going on Accutane. Luckily for me, Dr. Son has helped tremendously with my cystic acne. For the first time in six years, my skin is clearing up, and I never had to go on Accutane. Dr. Son has been extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. Also, his practice makes you feel like you're in a spa - so clean and pleasant looking. Doesn't feel like a doctor's office at all.

Did some research and decided to go with Dr. Feinberg because of his long-standing history as a pioneer in the field and the countless results of his previous patients. I was also very impressed with the facilities and his staff when I visited for a consultation. That was nearly 6 years ago and the difference was dramatic. So much so that I forgot how bad it was until coming back for a touch up to fill in the natural loss of hair that occurs as we age. Once again the entire experience has been completely professional and comfortable. 9am appointment, I arrived at 9:05 (hit some traffic) and was taken to the procedure room within minutes. Procedure started a few min later. Dr Feinberg is a very personable/friendly individual and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Staff was great again and the private waiting room (where you go in between stages of the procedure) is a nice touch. At 55 I have a completely full head of hair that gets complements from the ladies and makes my mostly balding friends jealous! The results look completely natural and because I started before it getting too severe no one even knows I've had anything done. I highly recommend if you are on the fence to setup a consultation and see what's possible. I'm so glad I did (especially after seeing the pics from my 1st treatment). It's undoubtedly made a difference in my mental attitude which in turn makes me look and feel years younger than I am. PS - Think the ridiculously negative review from Nick R sounds like some misfit who most likely didn't follow the instructions and properly care for his transplant. I'd say take it with a grain of salt but even that's too much. If I had to bet, he wasn't even a patient, just some troll doing what they do. Thx Dr. Feinberg and staff!

Then they continued to discuss the details of the patient's health until a woman in the crowded waiting room finally yelled out "doctor-patient confidentiality!" At this point they looked dismissively at the woman and moved away. This is something that they don't tell you in all of those Columbia Presbyterian testimonial ads that they run on PBS. In fact, I have a script that they can use if they would like to record a new testimonial ad to run on PBS: Ed Koch: When I was treated at New York Columbia-Presbyterian I got the best care possible. I'm sure that had nothing to do with the fact that was wealthy, the former mayor of New York, or famous. They sure as hell never discussed my medical issues in front of a room full of strangers. If you are a nobody, a Catholic, have a lot of children, or just like to see people treated respectfully when they are sick, you can always go down to St. Vincent's and get treated there. Oh, wait. They're closed. Guess you're screwed. (Then fade to black and show the hospital logo).

In the past we only needed to go once a year, and we continued to see her even though she is out of our insurance network. I was willing to pay completely out of pocket because we liked her and thought she was genuinely concerned for my daughter's health.
