I thought this was a nice place. I enjoyed my NP specifically. She was very knowledgeable. The visit itself with the NP was great. BUT, I had to wait for easily 30 minutes at 9 oclock in the morning. Nobody else was there, why am I waiting??? Also, I have tried calling the Rutherford office multiple times and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone. The phone operator will say that its connecting me to someone that can help. I am put on hold for 15 minutes and then the line disconnects. Absolutely absurd. They would have a higher rating if not for this. read more

This (revised) review of Schweiger Derm Group, Rutherford office Billing Department is an update from my initial review. Approximately six (6) weeks after my appointment, I received a statement from the practice requesting a Co-Pay. I knew that my Co-Pay was made at the reception window upon entering the office. After checking my banking statement, I confirmed that my Co-Pay was, in fact, processed the very same day of my office visit. I then called Billing and assisted them with finding my payment. Billing claimed that, due to staff shortages, they were being hampered which caused them to overlook documenting my payment. I let Billing know that once my credit card was scanned, payment was immediately made to the practice and, deducted from my VISA account. Staffing issues have zero impact on the ability of Billing for locating a patient's Co-Pay. Enuf said about the administrative and billing side of this practice.......... read more

This is a business first, that pressures you into multiple unnecessary visits so they can make more money. This is not a doctor you can trust. I would have left zero stars, but am forced to leave at least one. Was hoping to see a doctor, but instead ASSIGNED a medical assistant who proceeded to butcher my face. I am left with a permanent scar that was totally unnecessary. She should have referred me to a surgeon to remove a cyst, but instead popped it, took forever to heal, and I now have a red circle on my face. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

Every time we go, (which has been about 5 times), they make us wait for at least an hour. Also, trying to get the actual Rutherford office on the phone is nearly impossible, you get an operator who will "send a message" to the provider. The NP and doctors are good though once you actually get in but making people wait for an hour to be seen is unacceptable. I am looking into other dermatologists in the neighborhood due to this. read more

Dr. Beckett is the best, hands down. She diagnosed me years ago after I had visited 4 other doctors and no one could give me a solution. She is incredibly attentive and caring. I recently had to go back for something new and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok. She's just the type of doctor you trust and console in. The office itself is great too. Everything is always clean and their new transfer to Schweiger was painless for me. Yes, it can be difficult to get an appointment or even get someone on the phone. It's worth the headache because you know these doctors are trustworthy. Parking is easy and accessible. I highly recommend this office for any dermatology needs! read more

I went to Schweiger Dermatology yesterday, only waited about 5 minutes to been seen by Adriana Girard, who was patient and made me feel relaxed. She had to take a biopsy, and explained everything and what to expect down the line. The receptionist was very kind and the waiting area very clean as was the examine room. I highly recommend the Rutherford Office, very kind and caring people. Adriana told me she would personally call me with the results with the biopsy. read more

The doctor and assistants were incredibly kind and made me feel very comfortable. Getting in and situated as a first-time patient was quick and easy, appointment was on time. They listened to all my issues re: eczema and prescribed me two medications, and then handled a separate procedure on the spot even though I didn't make the appointment for it. And they wait to tell me until I get to the office that she doesn't take my insurance. Now I've waisted 4 days. 4 appointments. horrible customer service. after making me wait a half hour after my scheduled appointment time, with no communication as to why things were running late, they got upset with my line of questioning and accused me of yelling and lying about my appointment time. I wanted to understand how long before my appointment got canceled and how much I would be charged if I was late, they explained I would be charged and not seen if i was 15 min late, yet they don't lead by example, ridiculous!!!! when I showed the text proof of my appointment time, I was accused of entering someone's personal space and had the cops called on me, complete he said/she said because no one was there with us, when the cops showed up my provider explained it was a misunderstanding and she wanted to continue with my appointment, to which I agreed because this has never happened before. fast forward about a week or 2 and they send me a letter terminating our medical relationship. honestly, couldn't be happier with my new dermatologist in Clifton read more

Schweiger Medical Group is the worst medical group I've ever had to deal with. They consistently make errors with in their communication with patients. In all my time I've never encountered so many problems with scheduling appointments or trying to speak directly with a doctor. Dr. Beckett is a wonderful doctor, but the Schweitzer Medical Group staff is totally incompetent. For this reason all future contact with them was canceled with hopes of finding another dermatologist with a staff capable of handling my medical needs. read more

The worst company overall that I've had to deal with. The office manager was very rude and not understanding what my concern was. She was belittling and didn't care about the matter at hand that I had a problem with. I was in the office 4 times to fix this problem and was seen by 3 different doctors. Since they didn't do what they were supposed to I tried calling different offices to get to corporate. All I got was the run around. Transferring me to different depts that did not help. Never got a call back like they promised. They also charged me alot if money for a service that didn't work. They also got very bad reviews on the Better Business Bureau. I dont know how the other offices are but Rutherford NJ is definitely one to stay away from. Also check their fees and have it in writing g before you give them any of your hard earned money. The entire experience was amazing. When I called to make my appointment as a new patient they were able to get me in THE VERY NEXT DAY. I have never been able to make an appointment so soon at ANY other medical care provider. Then I got to my appointment and after filling out some quick forms on a tablet, I was promptly called into an exam room. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Had a skin tag in my armpit removed, and it was quick and painless. Amazing practice, super attentive, sweet, and friendly doctor, great front desk staff and nurses. LOVED IT THERE! read more

As an update to this experience (or to add insult to injury), I received an invoice from cutisdx, a lab that Schweiger Derm uses but my insurance company does not reimburse. If you need lab work, be sure to be proactive and find out from your insurance company which labs they prefer prior to your appointment. Schweiger will not ask you about this, you must be proactive. I was looking for a dermatologist near where I work and came across Dr. Marieanne Giardina-Beckett on the U.S. News Top Doctors list. The supporting staff were very friendly and greeted me with a smile. Often times, I come across medical office staff from other doctors that can be nasty or unpleasant to deal with, but that couldn't be further the case here. Everyone I encountered was professional and courteous. The wait time to be seen once I arrived was about 15 minutes. I explained my symptoms to the doctor and she provided her feedback. At no point did I feel rushed. She has terrific bedside manner. Thankfully, my condition did not require a follow-up appointment, but I will be visiting her office again for any skin-related ailments in the future. read more

I was disappointed in the dermatologist that I saw last year so I decided to try Dr. Zurada. I went to see her for a rash that I thought might be poison ivy. She was very friendly and took her time listening to my concerns and explaining how we should proceed with treatment. About four days later, on a Wednesday, the rash got much worse, to the point where almost every part of my body was broken out into a rash or multiple raised blisters. The rash had turned from being just itchy to becoming painful. I called the office to try to schedule another appointment. Dr. Zurada's Clifton office did not take my insurance and she wasn't going to be in the Rutherford office until Friday. The wonderful nurse practitioner or admin said that she would talk to Dr. Zurada to see if they could call in a prescription of prednisone. She called me back shortly after and they were able to get me a prescription. When I went to pick up my prescription, the pharmacy had a computer issue and my prescription was not filled. By this point, I was in some of the worse pain I've ever felt (I have been told that this was poison sumac and not poison ivy). Again, the nurse practitioner or admin, I wish I remembered her name, was so wonderful in helping work with me and the pharmacist to get everything straightened out. I will definitely go to her, again, and recommend her to others. read more

Office is clean and modern looking. There is plenty of free private parking below and around the building. Dr. Beckett is professional and knowledgeable. She was pleasant and answered all of my questions. My only gripe is that I had a 10:25 AM appointment. However, I did not get to see her until exactly 11:40 AM. Maybe this was just a bad day. I will see next time and revise my rating accordingly. The first I went to this practice in 2014, I saw Dr. Zuruda. I felt she did give me a little more time and information. I had an apt with Dr. Guardina Beckett. The office is located in Rutherford NJ. The office is very clean and the check in and wait time was less then 5 mins. Once in the room I was seen by the Dr. almost immediately. Dr. Guardina Beckett is very knowledgeable, asked in detail about my condition, explained my options and answered all my questions. The receptionist is very rude but this is not the only issue! If you want to make an appointment for a cancer screen, you can see De. Beckett in 6 to 7 months. However if you need any cosmetic procedures done, they can schedule you immediately. I waited 6 months for my appointment and then on the same day, I was scheduled for an interview. Called to reschedule and I was told next available appointment is the end of October. I said how could this be and the receptionist said "That's how it is". Met Dr. Gal for mole removal and information. She has excellent bedside manner, and took the time to explain everything to me in full detail. She made me feel at ease and gave me options to remove or not remove them. Even though I had to schedule a late appointment, she did not rush me out the door or hurry up in her diagnosis just because it was the end of the day. I highly recommend Dr. Gal and Dr. Zurada at this practice. Do not doubt your decision to go here for Dermatology. My daughter first came here in March and the service was great - everyone from the front desk to Dr Zurada herself, was super nice and professional. Dr Zurada was very patient, asked good questions, listened to my daughter's concerns about her teenage acne and came up with a few options. We chose an option and it is working well for her. We had a video visit with her as a follow up on Friday, and she was just as friendly and patient as she was in the office. But also as important, is that my daughter and I feel comfortable with her and we are confident that Dr Zurada knows her stuff! We are seeing progress and it's great! The front office staff is welcoming and friendly, but Dr Beckett was abrupt and kind of rude. She came in and didn't even introduce herself. She just started talking about what I was there for. When she was done she shoved a paper in my face without saying one word and I had to ask, "what am I looking at?" Dr. Beckett and some of her staff (Dawn) are extremely rude. After being prescribed an oral medicine, I was told that no refills would be given unless I came into the office every 30 days. I'm not able to step away from work one day per month to see her (keeping in mind that there is always a wait of at least 30 mins to be seen). And she would not budge on this, and even allowed my prescription to lapse, which caused a set back. Dr. Beckett was also unprofessional on the phone when I tried explain why I could not come see her every month. This process makes no sense - and also thinking of the cost to patients to have to pay to see her every month (which is good for her to make a profit on our issues). I don't recommend seeing her and don't plan on coming back. read more

Beware! this office will set you up with providers that are out of your insurance network last minute and won't even inform you. The PA in this office is the most unprofessional unknowledgeable provider out there. She basically told me there was nothing I could do. My daughter had a video visit with Dr. Zurada for acne for which I was present. We had technical issues while signing in but Dr. Zurada was patient as I remedied the problem. Dr. Zurada was professional with a pleasant manner and managed to develop a nice rapport with us during the visit. She offered a thorough explanation of different plans for acne treatment and let my daughter and I decide which we preferred. She then further discussed the treatment we opted for. I had a hard time with this doctor. I came in to her office with a red face and didn't know what happened. She told me my insurance wouldn't cover something but did not work out a payment plan to fund the procedure. She gave me no other option, instead, she ignored me and gave me a $200 bill for not even helping me. I have been coming here for years. Unfortunately, the receptionist is soo rude. She is always rude. It is surprising the Dr.Beckett has not fired her yet. I called to make an appointment since I woke up with cellulitis. Unfortunately, they were unable to fit me in until January! It is cellulitis for crying out loud.
