This is the second time in eight years that I have used the services of this team. The staff is more than friendly...the warmth of their respective personality shines through. A big hug to Arlene, Lenore, Dr. S (anesthesiologist) Susan, and Yelenya. (Tried for the correct spelling and alphabetical order, but the spirit was there.) Dr. Sherwood Baxt knows his stuff. Eight years ago, i had a breast reduction, and my back and shoulders still thank me every day! (DDD to D). Now I have had an upper eyelid lift, and tummy tuck. (i couldn't see the tummy before the breast reduction, and no amount of exercise would get rid of it...as a matter of fact, during jumping jacks my tummy always added an extra beat). (I only had one pregnancy, with a big head baby who leaned on one side - L.O.L.). The eyelids, that's age (56) and genetics. Twilight anesthesia is the best...never heard anything or felt anything during surgery...not over groggy afterwards. Couldn't drive, but could walk to the door of my home without a problem. I have a fine line in the crease of my eyebrow....it's only four days post surgery and the swelling is almost gone. I am still taped up around the tummy, but the fine line is very low...over my pubic bone. The only reason this was not a five star, is because my insurance did not pick this up. read more

Dr. Baxt is quintessential of a medical professional. In an age where you find doctors are often rushing you through medical examination or are less responsive, Dr. Baxt turns that on it's head. I had been on the fence for years about breast augmentation. As a woman who always had full and "fluffy" breasts I had never thought I would be a candidate for breast augmentation, however, after two children and breastfeeding for 2 years+ I was left with deflated breast that left me yearning for the days of my pre-children breasts. After my consultation with Dr. Baxt I knew not only that I was ready for this procedure but that I would do it with no one else but Dr. Baxt. Dr.Sherwood Baxt is very professional. The first visit is complimentary, but if you have other questions you can go back and he will see you complimentary again. His staff gave him my message and he called me back from his cell from even during his off hours. The surgery was a success and all of of my post op visits were also complimentary. I went back as many times as I wanted. He is knowledgeable, patient and kind. I am a Registered Nurse and I have worked with 1000's of doctors and have experienced good doctors and bad ones. Dr. Baxt is one of the best. I recommend him for any of your plastic surgery needs. He uses state of the art technique, ultra modern. He is very honest. The insurance company industry does not cover cosmetic surgery, they only cover plastic surgery for medical reasons, like military injuries, burns, and birth defects, etc. So Dr. Baxt prices are average. read more

I have gone to other plastic surgeons and dermatologists in the paramus area and no facility compares to this office. I am now a life long patient here and will always refer my family and friends. Dr. Baxt performed a skin exam on me and uncovered an early precancerous spot that another well known dermatologist missed at my last visit! I feel that I owe my health to these doctors. Although it is a bummer that they do not take any insurance I usually get reimbursed a decent amount from my insurance company.. it just takes a few weeks.. so 1/2 star off for that... The best part about the office is that I always feel like I am being genuinely welcomed and appreciated as a patient... not the clinic type feel that you get other places... I had been putting off this procedure for years because I was simply nervous and I'm glad I did or else I would not have discovered the Baxt practice or Dr. Parakh. The entire staff is kind and inviting, including Michelle, the practice coordinator to the anesthesiologist and nurses during my procedure. Great office. The entire staff is friendly and makes you feel at ease. I was seen for all of my appointments on time. Dr. Parakh is amazing. She is patient and honest. She made me feel very comfortable and was really good about managing expectations and letting me know the best way to proceed. I came in wanting it all (breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction) and after examining me she suggested to do much less saying that I didn't need all that I wanted and that the recovery would be very difficult. I have been going to Baxt CosMedical since 1988, when there was a growth on my cheek that was growing as fast as the baby I was expecting. Dr. Saida Baxt removed the growth, which never returned, 28 years later. Have gone back several times over the years and have seen both Dr. Saida Baxt and her daughter Dr. Rebecca Baxt for a cyst and total body checks for suspicious moles and now most recently for a cyst, which is benign. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but I find the trust you have after a few procedures outweighs the cost. If it is a medical risk, as with my cyst and the injections, it is partially covered by insurance. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Saida Baxt and Dr. Rebecca Baxt for many years and just recently had a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) performed by Dr. Sherwood Baxt. What a great practice! The office is paperless so I was able to fill out my new patient forms online before my appointment which was so easy. I was brought in for my appointment on time and Dr. Rebecca Baxt came in promptly. They used the iPad to take photos of my problems areas so we can track my progress.
