I had a great experience with Dr. Zubowski and his entire team. From the start, he made me feel confident and comfortable moving forward with reconstructive surgery after an injury. He was thorough, reassuring, and supportive throughout the process. Stephanie and Joanna were wonderful in coordinating everything leading up to my surgery. Chloe and Rima, part of the surgical nursing team, were also amazing; they were attentive and reassuring. The office is beautiful, and it's so convenient to have consultations and procedures done in one location; Dr. Zubowski's private surgical center is immaculate and comfortable. I had MOHS surgery on my nose and Dr Zubrowski and he decided that instead of closing the wound he left it open to close on its own. I had to wear a bandage on my nose for an entire summer and the wound didn't close at all so he finally stitched it close and it healed horribly. I have a horrendous scar running down the center of my nose. The office also told me my insurance would pay everything but they didn't. When I disputed the charge they sued me. So I had to pay a large amount of money for a disfigured nose. read more

Very disappointing...I went in for an implant removal, lift and back lipo. I woke up with 8" incisions under each breast and as of today the only lipo on my back was minimal because he used the outside incisions on my breasts so only a small area could be addressed. I made sure and asked over and over (Dr. Zubowksi and Dana) that my WHOLE back would have lipo, but no, that did not happen (they lied to me). Over $26,000 and I was left with sad results, glue which was dripped on my skin during surgery which has not gone away, an allergic reaction, and difficulty reaching the office during a post op emergency. When I tried to talk about this with Dr. Zubowski, he said we would address it at a later time, very demoralizing. I do not recommend him to anyone and if you're contemplating using him, please think again. There are a lot of great doctors out there, unfortunately I chose the wrong one! read more

This review is long overdue, but - 14 years ago, when I was 16 - I was mauled by a dog and my face was essentially ripped off, with the skin hanging by tendons. I was extremely lucky that Dr. Zubowski was, at the time, the emergency room plastic surgeon, and he stitched my face back together, somehow preventing me from having distorted features for the rest of my life. To be honest, I think he made me look a little better than I did - that may just be my imagination. Regardless, he is the very best at plastic surgery. This is a very overdue review that I've been meaning to write for a while. Back in July 2019, I got a tummy tuck mainly on the heels of wanting to address my diastasis recti and figured may as well get a breast lift at the same time! My results have been extraordinary, especially after losing a little weight since the surgery. I thought I'd never have a normal looking stomach again after two c sections but Dr. Zubowski worked a miracle. I feel so confident and happy since getting this surgery. Yes, I will be honest, the first month or two was tough. I have a high tolerance for pain and this surgery, particularly the tummy tuck was no joke. You definitely need support at home, especially with toddlers! But it is so worth it and I have zero regrets getting it done and am so happy that I went with Dr. Zubowski. Everyone I have ever encountered in my visits to the office as well as the day of surgery have been amazing. From Dana to Pat to Lauren, just to name a few, I always felt welcome and like I was part of a family during every single appointment. I have been coming here for over 1 year to get facials with Jen to treat my acne. Since coming here, my acne has completely gone away and face looks clear, soft, and smooth. Unfortunately, Dr. Zubowski may be a good plastic surgeon, but the way the Dr's office is run is absolutely a disaster and unprofessional. They tell you one thing, then don't communicate when there is an issue such as losing your files and records and they don't return phone calls after leaving messages and is told by the staff they will personally follow up and call you. They do not. When you do finally chase them down, such as Genesis, you get the run around and are told things to appease you, but none of is actually true or happens and then they gaslight you by saying the patient is being aggressive because I'm following up on the lack of follow up or transparency. After I was told by Dana the office manager, that she will personally call me on a specific date to follow up and doesn't you are told she isn't going to go back and forth and she doesn't work for me (the patient). There is no one to speak to above her as she made clear the doctor wouldn't speak to me and she didn't care to care. So the message is sent loud and clear, patients are not valued. If you want to think that this Doctor & Office Staff are willing to help you in something that is in health concern & troubling you due to a previous breast augmentation procedure & lift that he done years earlier by him, which he had to do twice in one year to fix, PLUS he suggested & told me that also I needed implants to make them full because he had to make them "look natural". Well ever since then I've have MAJOR problems. Chronic Migraines, Neck & Back Pain, Indentations in my shoulders from my bra straps cause of the weight of these implants. And Bleeding rash underneath my breasts. I'm dealing with my insurance which said they "WILL NOT PAY Because I had them put in" I did not want them, the doctor said they'll look fuller and natural. So basically, I'm scared for LIFE. Taking all different kinds of medication to deal with pain & rash among other things. I kept on emailing the office to have the doctor to personally call me and they said he won't/can't. What kind of Doctor is this that he doesn't care about his patients??? I think basically the staff is blocking me to him so he doesn't have any problems. Sorry, I DON'T AGREE WITH THAT KIND OF COMMUNICATION. So if your thinking you'll get good care, think again. YOU WON'T! And the staff said they will not step in to talk to my insurance company, knowing the Doctor is in the wrong. STAY AWAY. Dr. Zubowski helped me in ways I couldn't have Imagined. Yes, my procedure was simple (a scar revision) but he performed it PERFECTLY and it came out beautiful; giving me not only a pleasant looking scar, but a pleasant state of mind. My story is quite tearful to tell, but basically I had gotten a Stage 4 Abdominalplasty from another surgeon, and was left very botched. The scar was extremely high, (up to my belly button!) The surgeon had promised a low, easily concealable scar right above my pubic line! I was a mess. I had too much tension so the entire scar was just a disaster. I could not walk up-right for 7 months because the doctor took out too much skin. I had seromas, incision infection from poor healing, necrosis, a crazy tight incision, and nerve entrapment. Dr. Zubowski helped me with the nerve entrapment. My scar had healed poorly and the nerves had grown into the scar, they felt twisted, tight, and compressed with sharp, shooting pains. Dr. Zubowski re-worked my scar and freed all of the nerves! The scar is flat and feels great! Because of Dr. Zubowski's thorough consultation and skillful hands, I am finally able to close this 6-year disastrous chapter of my life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SURGEON! He is amazing!!!!! I also just have to comment on his communication. He really LISTENS to what you want done, and if it can't be done, he will not cut you open. So many surgeons are so quick to tell you "yes I can do that, set up the surgery date". And than you come out looking like I did. I saw Dr. Zubowski for a facelift consultation. He tried to talk me into just Botox (note: injectables are a tremendous source of income with minimal work). I wasn't interested in Botox and he claimed that because of Botox and fillers, the need for facelift surgery has reduced. Perhaps but I was not interested. Fair enough. So the 1-star really isn't for him. It's for what happened afterwards He then asked if I wanted information on skincare (the key word here is "information"). Sure, why not. He directed me to another room and introduced me to his skin care specialist. I noticed that she was unwrapping an Obagi skin care kit before I even sat down. Err . . . I just wanted information. Sure enough, the skin care specialist told me that I HAD to buy the Obagi skin care system which cost $400 since she already unwrapped it. After glowing claims about Obagi from the skin specialist. I decided to go ahead and purchase it anyway (versus making a ruckus because I only wanted some information). My skin reacted poorly with the system (not the fault of Obagi) but I am aggravated that I was strong armed into making this purchase with the ol "take the wrapper off and it's now yours" routine. At best, this person acted prematurely and expected me to pay for it. At worst, this is done to force people to buy products. Either way. I won't be back. read more

Would not recommend this office. Let me start off by saying that I am a medical professional and blogger. I won an Olivia Culpo Instagram contest. Scheduled a Vivace appointment with Jen two times, only to have it rescheduled twice over the course of several months. The third time, I called to confirm the following week's appointment, and I was told that that Jen could no longer keep my appointment. Because the service was free (won a legit Instagram contest), they mulled it over and were suddenly "too busy" with paying customers. She advised me to follow up elsewhere. It was utterly unprofessional and caught me totally off guard. The office knew all along that it was a promotional service. After several years of debating if I should do it or not, I had breast augmentation done with Dr. Zubowski. 6 months later one is bigger and uneven than the other one. I'm very very unsatisfied and I cannot wait to have it fixed in the near future -- by another surgeon. Also, the services they offer at their office are overpriced. My friend has been ripped off so many times for botox, facial laser treatments, and even facials. Her results after the facial laser treatment are awful, and she needs to go back according to the doctor for correction. Stay away! I was very specific about the size of the implants I wanted. During pre-op, my husband was joking around with the doctor saying that he should make me bigger. So he did!! He made me a full cup size bigger than I wanted. When I confronted him about it during a follow-up visit, he said I should blame my husband. Even the staff member who was in the room was in shock. Worst decision I ever made. I originally went to have a severely deviated septum corrected. As it healed, I noticed one side of my nose had collapsed in due to extra cartilage ring removed unevenly. He "corrected" the original surgery (but I had to pay all the anesthesia fees) by taking cartilage from behind my ears to fix the original error. Now my nose is even worse than before. The entire nose is misshapen due to the cartilage he put in, nothing is even close to even or symmetrical, and is just a mess. I wasted so much time and money for a mess that I haven't been able to afford to fix! Can't stand looking at it and it's in my wedding pictures, all of the pictures with my kids etc. read more

Steer clear. Dr. Robert Zubowski at the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery performed a botched procedure which lead to my being rushed from his "surgical center" to Valley Hospital with a chest tube. I was assured that this center was fully prepared to handle an emergency situation - but it was not. The hospital gurney did not fit into the elevator - the surgical center was on the 2nd floor. The paramedics needed to enlist the help of three other people (not medical staff but visitors) to assist them in carrying the gurney down a narrow staircase (with a landing in the center) bouncing and precariously tilting me as they did their best to get me into the ambulance. Frightening experience. Although I didn't have enough of a case for a malpractice suit, I'd like to warn others to steer clear. I've spoken with several highly-regarded medical professionals including my cardiologist, general practice MD, and nurses regarding this incident, and they are all in agreement that the surgeon cut too deeply resulting in my needing a chest tube to avoid my lung collapsing. I understand that there were risks associated with the procedure; however, a facility that performs surgeries should ensure that patients can be quickly and efficiently transported to a hospital if needed. Steer clear. There are many other well-respected and better surgeons in Bergen County. read more

This is perhaps an old review, as my surgery was almost ten years ago, but I have to please advise anybody considering rhinoplasty to look elsewhere. He did three procedures that day...rhinoplasty, chin implant and breast enhancement. While I was happy with the chin implant and the breast enhancement, he royally botched my nose. My nose wasn't your simple shaving down a hump type of nose job. My nose was actually very straight, however it stuck out too far, or was "over projected." That type of rhinoplasty, the kind that "deprojects" the nose, is more complicated and should really be done ONLY by a surgeon who specializes in JUST THE FACE AND NECK. I was left with a collapsed nasal dorsum on the right side and a turned up tip. He is a Jack of all Trades type, and so he really doesn't specialize. I have finally built up the courage to have a revision, and my new surgeon even said it was quite botched. I found a surgeon who is specifically an Otolaryngologist and only does procedures on the head and neck. If you want to go from an A cup to a C cup, sure he's fine. But GO TO A SPECIALIST FOR YOUR FACE, not this doctor. read more
