Example: One person told me that I should have been wearing a compression garment (I was not advised to do so). They another said, no, not needed. My body is littered with scars and I have zero results. Please take note if you do go with this doctor they will ask you if you want to be on Instagram or Snapchat (very unprofessional) and if you say no, you will get crappy results. I went in to have my witch chin smoothed out. The witch chin was only visible from the side. He took pictures straight on, not the side. He injected his stuff and then showed me by mirror only from the front. The side view is the issue. $900. You might as well have lit it on fire. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. paid for a online consultation with Dr Gartner and I was trying to pay+book afterwards for the surgery ASAP, first off Dr Gartner would not let me fit any questions in during the consult he just kept talking and cutting me off. So let me save you the hassle, the front desk team is HORRIBLE and VERY unknowledgeable, I'm an out of town patient (From Canada) trying to fly in, they wouldn't accept any of my medical clearances (every other clinic in the US said they are valid) they were extremely unhelpful when I asked any questions about how I can get these clearances for them to accept them. They would blatantly ignore my emails and when I would call all they could say is they don't know and I have to figure it out myself. As an out of country patient I would expect a bit more help than this considering I've never had to deal with anything like this before. would NOT recommend especially if you're not from there originally! I had breast lifted, scar removed and pockets tightened done 6 weeks ago by Dr. Gartner and I couldn't be more happy about my results. I felt completely comfortable with him from my first visit. I have been amazed at how beautiful they look and I would recommend him to anyone who has ever thought about having any cosmetic surgery done. He is extremely caring and patient, when I asked him a lot of questions, he took the time to answer them without making me feel rushed. On the day of surgery, he was confident in what I wanted and made me feel at ease about my decision. His office staff has also been so sweet and knowledgeable about my surgery. When I called to book my breast augmentation consult the office staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It ended up being about a 6 week wait to get a consult. I went to the Paramus, NJ office. The office is adorable and everyone is very welcoming. I brought my boyfriend with me into the exam room where Dr. Gartner talked us through material options, incision points, sizes, and the process of the surgery. He stopped frequently to allow for questions and answered fully and thoughtfully. He let me take my time trying on different sized implants under my shirt. Nothing needs to be decided that day, its more a day for you to explore your options. Afterwards, Vicki took me to a private room to discuss the financial part of the surgery and my time line. I scheduled right away about 6 weeks out, $1,000 was due to set all the appointments and book the surgery. I walked out of my consult with my pre-op and surgery date. Pre-op was short and sweet. Mostly going over the procedure and making sure I fully understood what was expected of the doctor, staff, and myself. At that point I had my bloodwork done so they gave me all my prescriptions. I paid the remaining balance on my care credit account that day. The day of surgery went exactly as expected, no surprises. My boyfriend drove me, they have a nice waiting area with coffee and tv for your guest. I came in got started with before photos, then immediately got started with the nurse and anesthesiologist. I woke up feeling some pressure but very little pain if any. I went home in a bandage and my folder with detailed post-op instructions. I did get all the prescribed medications however did not take the painkillers, I got through it with just Tylenol. It was extremely painful, for about 3 weeks. Even still, I had my surgery on a Thursday and returned to my office job that Monday. I came in for a few post-op appointments. You'll probably want the reassurance the first few weeks/ months to make sure every little thing is "normal" and to keep an eye on the incisions. These appointments are at no additional cost. Six months later, I am so happy with the results. I started at approximately 190 cc's (34A) added 300 cc silicone implants brought me to a Victoria's Secret 34D. The scars are about an inch and becoming very faint. It took a few months but they feel soft and real. Dr. Gartner's office was there for me every step of the way! read more

Dr Gartner is awesome! I went in for Botox. After a consultation he told me exactly what the cost would be. After the treatment, he told me to come back in a couple weeks to make sure I was happy with the results. When I went back he added a little more Botox around my eyes. Free of charge. This review is only regarding liposuction. I only went there for a consultation after reading all the good reviews . I guess he's good in other stuff but definitely not liposuction . He kept on encouraging me to tummy tuck when I don't need that I'm single and no kids! I went to dr. Ayman shahine who specializes in liposuction specifically. So for those of you looking for liposuction it's a waste of time he showed me his work but I didn't like his work . I went to dr. Shahine and was shocked! He also gave me great prices :) read more

It's taken me almost 6 years to have the courage to write this and share my horrible experience with Dr.Michael Gartner. In September of 2013, I was 20 years old about to turn 21. When I was young I had a feeding tube that left a scar I always hated. So, finally my mom and I found Dr.Gartner to revise my scar. I was a little concerned because I did have past medical history, but he ASSURED me that he didn't need to do any testing before the surgery and that everything would go smooth. I even decided to go under local anesthesia and do the surgery at his office. Within 20 minutes of the surgery I could feel EVERYTHING. I knew something wasn't right. But, him and nurse kept reassuring me everything was fine. I was told the healing process would only take about 3 days. Well, within those 3 days my pain got WORSE, like really bad. He continued to tell me that I may have an infection (instead of actually testing my blood) he gave me antibiotics and that was it. Well another week passes and I can barely move my body and he still says to keep taking the antibiotic. Finally, when I woke up with a huge abscess near the surgery sight I went to the ER. Within an hour they told me I had really bad blood SEPSIS and that I would need emergency surgery. I stayed at the hospital for a whole month.(which he never payed for any of my medical needs) Dr.Gartner was so negligible with my care. If I didn't go to the ER I could have died. I ended never suing because I just wanted to forget about the whole thing and it wasn't under my insurance at the time (I was also a teenager and didn't know better) I might be physically okay now, but I will never mentally be the same. Please go to someone who will actually care, not just about making money. read more

I got 360 lipo and a fat transfer to my hips .... my stomach was still fat and uneven after a year and the transfer to my hips looked like nothing was done to my hips ....for 8500 dollars I should not still look regular and flabby. Maybe this doctor is only good at doing smaller women who don't need much work but I wouldn't recommend this doctor if u are more voluptuous and want to be sculpted and snatched. While I was excited to undergo breast augmentation, I was also nervous that my results would not be what I had pictured in my mind. Dr. Gartner put me right at ease. He answered all my questions before I was even able to ask them. He keeps up with current research and changes in the field which told me he is always striving to be the best. Dr. Gartner is not even worth one star but I have no choice if I want to write a review. I went to have a consultation for a surgery that is going to go through my insurance for multiple reasons of medical necessity. It was so great to find out that Dr. Gartner was in network with my insurance and also affiliated with the hospital system I work for. I was excited for this consultation based not only on those two reasons but also because he has such great reviews and looks like he does great work. The consultation started out just fine but went downhill fast. The more he spoke the more awful it became. Have you ever been in such shock or amazement (in a bad way) that you just simply did not know what to do? That was me. 90% of my consultation was Dr. Gartner talking about money and himself. He repeatedly told me how my case would not be worth his time. He would not make enough money off of me and that there were other procedures he could be doing that would take up far less of his time vs. my several hour procedure in which he says the insurance will not pay him nearly enough for his work done or his time spent. I was nearly laughed at when I asked if the surgery could be done at the hospital I work for the same hospital that HE has privileges at and instead was told that he would only do the procedure at his out of network surgical center for which I would need to give him thousands of dollars for a deposit. I get it you want to make money but seriously where is the empathy? I'm there to consult with a medical professional (a surgeon none the less!) about a medically necessary surgery NOT a cosmetic surgery and all that he can talk about is how much money he needs to make for it to be worth it for him. Disgusting and disgraceful. Why stay contracted with the insurance company? Why be affiliated with a hospital you don't want to perform surgeries at? I kick myself for not walking right out of the office!!! read more
