This store is one of my girlfriend's favorite place to shop. She suggested that I come here to purchase specific clothing dye because this chain of stores is the only place that carries it. When I walked in, I was surprised to see Christmas trees already on display. It's now early October and possibly slightly early for Christmas decorations. Apart from that, this store is filled with all things craft related. They have so many items that you would not be able to find anywhere else. Like the dye for example. I needed to ask one of the employees about where the dye was located and they were helpful enough to walk me over there. If doing exactly what I needed, and the price was still very reasonable.

The framing department is simply fantastic. I got three diplomas framed here and Sonya that helped me out was the best. She works meticulously and her attention to detail and customer satisfaction is second to none!! Thanks again, again.

Crafters get ready, because we now have a metro-accessible Michael's. Exit Friendship Heights' Jennifer Street, turn left, turn left before crossing the street (past the mattress store) and go down into the basement. It's still not the same size and thus doesn't have the same selection as your suburban box store would, but it's 1000x better than the nothing we had before. I was able to pick up everything I needed for my Halloween costume (green clothing dye, buttons, ribbon, glue sticks, embroidery floss, thread) and some other stuff (office supplies) that I did not necessarily need. The line moves quickly and the staff seem to be (maybe just because it's new) shipped in from other locations so they are well-versed in what Michael's has and where it might be. They have a framing department and lots of yarn, and a couple of aisles of children's crafts. Overall the selection is not as robust as at other locations, given the smaller size of this store, but I'm happy to have this option for most of the basics.

Store is at basement level. I didn't see elevator to get here however.

Found exactly what we needed here- kid paints , beading materials, ribbons and Easter wreath materials. Store is large and has lots of stuff. I didn't see fabric but lots of art supplies and friendly helpful staff.

We went to frame a head made icon and the customer service that Ndyia provided us with a professional service. It was amazing!

Selection of yarn isn't great, took forever to check out. They don't validate parking either.

I was surprised to see how many options that they had. We chose 150 custom designed invititation cards, and it took them less than ten days to complete everything. I was helped by Kate and she was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process. What's cool about this store is that they even have wonderful gift items for nearly every occasion. Their prices are reasonable and I enjoyed doing business with them.

This is the only review I've ever done on yelp. But in this case I felt like my extremely negative…read moreexperience warranted one. If I could give zero stars I would. I did my wedding invitations through Write for You. They were beyond unprofessional throughout the entire experience. While I had issues with the company for our 6-month interaction, here are the three most egregious interactions: 1. For an 8-week period of time a few months before my wedding, I was unable to get ahold of anyone at the shop. I emailed and called many times. I only heard back after leaving a final message asking if the business was still open and if I'd need to find another vendor. 2. Two months out from my wedding, I received notification that my invitations had arrived. On the same day, I received an invoice that included a $300 charge above my quote. This wasn't the first out-of-the-blue charge that had occurred in my interactions with Write for You. The owner told me this charge was for "ribbons and labor" and thus would not remove it. I was not previously notified of this charge and said I would only pay for what I was quoted. We went back and forth and the interaction eventually ended with: the owner yelling over the phone, the owner telling me she couldn't believe I was arguing over $300 because it's only $300, and the owner threatening to withhold the invitations. She also notified me that both she and her husband were lawyers. I ended up paying the extra amount because I needed the invitations (a fact she certainly knew). 3. Finally, after all of that, there was a typo on the invitations. Not only did Write for You refuse to reprint the invitations or refund me for any of the cost, but I couldn't even get someone to respond to my emails and calls. Presumably because I'd already paid. I don't think I can convey in a review what a terrible and exasperating experience this was the entire time. But I hope to convey to anyone thinking of using Write for You - avoid, avoid, avoid!

We have gotten a number (15+) of things framed both in store and online and have nothing but…read morepositive things to say. SO much more affordable than local frame shops and they have handled complex custom jobs (think, custome sized frame featuring multiple physical objects) and valuable, one-of-a-kind pieces exceptionally. And any time we've had a slight issue, it's been fixed no questions asked and with a smile. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the selection is wide and beautiful. We are loyal customers and will continue to use Framebridge for all our needs.

Framebridge is a pretty incompetent company. Not only did the first items I had framed take months…read moreto get back, but the frame quality was not up to par (there was scratches/chips all over.) I've brought the frame back to be reframed, however the frame came back with even more scratches. Even worse, Framebridge also damaged a very special photo while they were framing (which is questionable already) so I had to purchase that same photo in which they damaged AGAIN for the SECOND time. Luckily the photos were replaceable but I can't even imagine what I would do if they were not. Lastly, the frames are incredibly hard to frame as a gallery wall to be level with the photos next to each other (due to their hanging hardware, yet another headache.) Therefore, I would not recommend Framebridge, at least for not one of a kind items. The only good thing about Framebridge is that they provided me credit due to the issues and time wasted going back and forth for me to get them to fix their issues.
